The best Chicken Marsala ever. I walked across the town from hotel in Seaport just to get this. Absolutely heaven. An amazing place and a must go. I will be back every time I am in town.

A small but fine Italian restaurant with a small menu recommended by our local guide. And yes, it was a very good pasta very close to what you get at an Italian restaurant at home or in Italy. The spaghetti and orecchiette were homemade, the salsiccia had a delicious fennel note, and the prawns were fresh and delicious. The all young waitresses are extremely nice and courteous. The ambience invites you to linger. We would come back at any time!

I had eggplant parmesan and the house salad. It was neither too greasy, too thick, or overly breaded... It was just perfect. Also the portions seemed appropriate too. Not too much, not too little. They also accommodated a couple food allergies at our table really nicely. I don't have an Italian grandma, but if I did, I felt like this would be like eating at her house.Vegetarian options: Can accommodate to make a dish vegetarian.

I can only speak for myself, but I loved dining at Tony & Elaine's, and would go back in a heartbeat. Had wanted to try it for years after seeing it on The Phantom Gourmet. It can be difficult to find a spot to eat in the North End, especially as a solo diner or before/after a game. Especially cause of space. But this is just on the outside, not far from TD Garden. I went for lunch, and was seated/served right away. The server did it all, checking in, conversating, and taking my order. I had the arancini to start, which were delicious and the Chicken Marsala which blew me away. The portion was huge and the Marsala wine sauce with garlic?. I ate the whole thing. The bread was so-so, but it sopped up the sauce well. I also loved the interior of the place. A hole in the wall that is cozy and looks like one of your friend's houses, or out of an Italian movie. The red tablecloths and ceilings with Christmas lights are such a nice touch. Very down to Earth vibe. I'll definitely be back?

Just doesn’t compete with other Italian spots in the neighborhood. The ambiance was cute. The house red wine was tasty. The bolognese fell flat.

*I should have listened to the most recent review.*We got takeout so cannot comment on the service or atmosphere but the food was underwhelming. The chicken parm was pounded so thin that there was more breading than chicken. Like the previous reviewer, our pasta was not al dente but undercooked. The garlic bread looked absolutely nothing like the menu photos (I'm ordering from an independent, not McDonald's, so have different expectations) and was chewy and disappointing. We also got the caprese which we did enjoy for the most part. I suppose we should have known better to go further from the Garden, and in the gamble for convenience lost out greatly on quality.

Good Italian restaurant in Boston's Italian neighborhood. Good treatment and atmosphere.Quality food and homemade pasta. We had spaghetti with shrimp and spaghetti with meatballs, both very tasty dishes, we especially fell in love with the shrimp one.Very helpful treatment, we never ran out of water in our glasses. Abundant portions and medium price, about $25 per person. The atmosphere of the place is cozy, it transports you to Italy.

Tony and Elaine's is a nifty, compact, shifty, and appetizing spot to grab a bite to eat from the night on the town. It's great to get some dazzling food to eat and drink. The cannoli is delicious and scrumptious. I recommend it to all who visit Boston.

Do not bother. The food, the service and the overall ambiance and atmosphere I experienced in this place - unfortunately diverge greatly from high reviews this place has. The appetizers were served extremely quickly (somewhat undesired) and meatballs ("award winning") were missing taste. The bread was lacking texture and the dipping olive oil tasted weird. Finally, my main (chicken marsala) came with undercoocked pasta. It also was just not very tasty. Overall, I am surprised to receive such below area expectations food and service for the prices they ask.
