I was a solo diner visiting from California. I loved the ambiance. Red and white checkered tables topped with red candle holder in a cozy room. I ordered the arancinis and they were perfect. The Cesar salad was delicious with homemade croutons. I loved the Chicken Marsala. I liked this place quite a bit. It was our first visit and we both had lasagna, which was quite good. We had prosciutto for an appetizer, which also was quite good--simple but high quality. The ambiance is unique in kind of a Greenwich Village kind of way. I love the Village and if you are looking for fancier digs, you'll need to head deeper into the North End. Tony and Elaine's is a nifty, compact, shifty, and appetizing spot to grab a bite to eat from the night on the town. It's great to get some dazzling food to eat and drink. The cannoli is delicious and scrumptious. I recommend it to all who visit Boston.
