“Stopped in for a quick drink before a show, I didn't get anything else and this spot is set up like a classic diner with a full bar. The food that passed by looked good and I was told to come back when I had more time. Maybe there will be a follow up trip in the future.“
“The Tall Man and I were looking for a low key hangout with baby in tow, and Distraction Brewing was the perfect place. This new-to-us brewery on the cute pedestrian-only Birch St. had an outdoor patio but we opted for seats inside.It's not a big place, but it has a good number of tables and bench seating in a brightly lit space. The Tall Man got the autumn flight of 4 beers (one being one of their maltinis), which he enjoyed for their variety. I wasn't up for imbibing so I got a Health-Aid kombucha from the fridge. (They also carry Athlete's nonalcoholic beer in cans.) They have some packaged snacks for purchase, but they encourage people to get food from local businesses to eat there. It was pretty darn convenient to pick up lunch from nearby Chilacates. It made for a very chill lunch and sip. We weren't even the only ones with a stroller! It was a relief to find a brewery that's not utterly mobbed and where we could bring the little one. I would definitely come back for another relaxing hangout.“
“What a beautiful venue. We greatly appreciate The Substation for allowing us to have our 35thWedding Anniversary at such a beautiful venue in July 2023. It is a beautiful venue with a Rustic look with high ceilings with beautiful lights beaming down. After dark the lights beams right off the big window which looks so amazing. We would definitely like to thank Ana for all of her hard work. She is with you from the beginning to the end with great ideas. She gave us a vision of our setup andit was perfect. We also would like to thank Laura for her time on also making sure everythingwas in place. We would definitely highly recommend The Substation.“
“A great little place to go to when you want to have fairs and things would also be a great place to probably host a wedding because of the layout and how everything is. Lots of great fenders and prices were on point to that of a farmers market.“
“Great atmosphere and amazing staff. From the servers to baristas to floaters! Manager goes around introducing themselves to customers and makes sure everyone is taken care of. Food is great and nice ambiance for, dates and catching up with friends.They do local events of varied cultures. My favorite one is Saborcito during the summer. Where you get to learn and dance to Salsa and Bachata. Thank you for the amazing experience!“
“Ashley was a great waitress, she was on top of everything from the moment we walked in. She was pleasant with my children & made sure to follow all their special request on the menu. Food was good but not as good as the service, I will request her on my next visit!!“
“Mike the doorman was the highlight of the trip...he was extremely helpful & knowledgeable during our stay..would return. Free coffee & small treats at reception were brilliant as was the vault with free snacks & refreshments..location of this hotel is amazing -right across from a beautiful park“
“After passing this spot in the Fresh Pond Mall parking lot (around the corner from Staples) I finally stopped in a few days ago for a beer. Glad I did because the weather will be getting cooler and they said they will be closing for the season soon. (maybe after this weekend?). They don't have outdoor heaters, so I can see that the weather could become a problem before too long. But on warm and sunny days it was busy. Seems like a fun place to get a drink before going to the movies at the theater just a few steps away. Hope they come back next summer!!“
