The place was way overrated. Thought they were "so cool" only making 15 hamburgers. One of the worse meals I ever had was there. I felt like I was mugged.

Absolutely ridiculously good burger - went to their booth in TimeOut Market and was so happy I did!

I went to Craigie Next Door for the first time for my graduation dinner. I had heard Cragie on Main was the best restaurant in Cambridge and they have one of the nicest patios in the city, so I was excited to try it. I would not make reservations to go back. I understand dining during Covid is a bit of an adventure, but our waitress was MIA, our appetizer/main dish (I think it was a fixed course meal) arrived within 5 minutes of sitting down and our drinks didn't arrive until midway through the second course. Because no one came by to check on us, so I didn't have the opportunity to get another drink. The food was good but not anything that I would recommend someone go out of their way for. Overall a bizarre experience that I would not have expected from a restaurant of this caliber. For a nice restaurant, I would opt for Pammy's, Field & Vine, or bisq. That said, there were a limited number of walk in tables with a bar menu that I would try since I'd expect that to be more casual.

Interesting delicious food, high quality local ingredients, and terrific service. And they're always coming up with new ideas.

Came here for the first time and, after hearing lots of good things, were pretty disappointed. All around, food was good, but not excellent, and there was a general lack of thoughtfulness for the diner’s experience. We did the vegetarian tasting menu. We started with a beet hummus that was a wonderful color, but served with a total of six vegetable bites, and the cauliflower was too big to dip into the jar of hummus. Not a big deal if not for contributing to the “lack of attention” theme. The big disappointment was that the vegetarian main was a heap of blackened vegetables. They were farm fresh and tasted good enough, for sure, but to serve a pile of vegetables as a main shows a real lack of creativity. They even served it with the sauce that was meant for the meat main (a plum-like sauce, for duck), as if grilled zucchini and duck have the same flavor profile. Felt like being a vegetarian at a large catered event where your only choice is grilled vegetables or portobello—so they can just do the same thing to the vegetables that they do to the meat. For ~$125 a head, I’d expect something that felt less like an accommodation and more intentional.Another lack-of-attention detail was that we spent the evening listening to the kitchen’s music, which was more Tony Hawk skate jam than outdoor fine dining. Nothing wrong with the music per se, just doesn’t match the vibe at all.The wine, however, was delicious, and our waitress was quite attentive—so the meal had lots of redeeming features. I think maybe if I’d paid half the price and hadn’t been sold a “fine dining” experience, it would have been perfectly good. It just didn’t meet its own expectations.

Craigie Next Door is a great outside dining option. The food is fantastic, atmosphere is comfortable. Very enjoyable. Can't wait to return!

We celebrated our 50th anniversary at Craigie on July 31. Outdoor dining was fun, safe and enjoyable. Service was superb. And, of course, the food was extraordinary. We said to each other that we had an anniversary meal under a tent in a parking lot, across the street from a U-Haul building, and directly atop a subway line—and lived every minute of the experience

My favorite restaurant anywhere, including my own state of Rhode Island and my hometown of NYC. I have often driven the 1 1/2 hour trip just to have dinner at Craigie and then go back home afterwards. Tony Maws is a very talented chef. I never order off the menu. I just sit down and order whatever he is making that night (the Chef's Whim?) and have never been disappointed. I wouldn't dare do that anywhere else. Even the food items that include ingredients that I don't ordinarily like, are delicious. They are also serve one of my favorite scotches and no other restaurant has it. You cannot go wrong at Craigie. It's alittle pricey but it's worth every cent, and I'm not great at spending money.

I love that Tony Maws and team have managed to translate the essence of Craigie to this outdoor space. The vibe is different, but the food, service, and spirit are as great as they have always been.

Outstanding food, service, beverages, etc.! Honestly, very friendly staff in an upscale restaurant. My wife and I have eaten at the restaurant and done takeout. Both were wonderful! The takeout during covid was a total bargain!

I feel completely fleeced. For more than $200, we had a horrible meal. Started with a plate of raw cauliflower and a few bad crackers. Reminded me of something you'd be handed at a petting zoo (?). We waited a while for watered-down $15 cocktails to arrive. Followed by disappointing salads and a sad main course to share. The plates and paper napkins are inconsistent with what we'd come to expect when we came here pre-Covid. The experience overall was frankly bizarre--such a departure from a meal we had here a few years ago. Really disappointed, won't be back.

Loved sitting outside under the tent, even when it was raining! Our server and all the staff was amazing. Food was delicious. The tasting menu created by the chef had things I would not have tried on my own and I loved them. Looking forward to going again!

It is so lovely to eat outside at Craigie. Lights, brick walls, lanterns- it feels so relaxed and elegant. The food was amazing - eating fresh from the farm was never so delicious, especially the salads. Very cool cocktails.

I fully understand that the world has been very difficult lately for hospitality and I write as I would very much like to give you my support again. Our dining experience on July 7th was pretty disappointing. The night was going to be stormy but the host insisted that we be seated outside of the tent. When I asked if she had a rain plan, she said of course. When it started drizzling and no one came to assist, we were puzzled. When it started fully raining and no one came to assist, the rest of the dinner was seemingly over. Not only did we have to bring our own, now drenched plates into one of the many empty two tops under the tent but we weren't even acknowledged for doing so. "Service continued" without a word and without a refresh of the water outside of our dinner plates. Thankfully - like always - the food was delicious. There was no need for any of this to happen. We could have easily been seated under the tent. There could have been a real plan for rain. The waitstaff could have acknowledged anything and saved the rest of the experience. The outdoor dining vibe is enchanting but it is seemingly not a fully developed plan in the second Summer of following COVID restrictions.
