I wish I could rate this place higher. The food is great for the area of town that this cafe is located. Tasty salads, wraps/sandwiches. The breakfast menu looks great, but I've never made it over there during that time of day. The service makes me dread going there. There is usually just 1 person on staff. Essence of Thyme is a cute little place hidden on Broadway in Chelsea. I probably would have missed it if I didn't pass it EVERYDAY to get to work... They sell yummy breakfast sandwiches that are fast, inexpensive, and not too "processed" (as in microwaved pancakes at McDonalds... eww). For about $5 you can get a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a plain bagel and a coffee made the way you want. Everything is made fresh. No microwave involved and cheaper than DDs!
