Informed by staff the "oven" was already shut down at 4pm. Coffee was as expected but staff unfriendly, loudly reiterating several times they closed at 6pm for any coming in to do work.
Blue Bottle is a frustratingly wonderful cafe in a shopping area that the Gen Zers would call "Bougie." Whatever you're paying for, half of what you're paying for goes to rent. A quarter goes to communicating a certain 'status,' the other half goes to the costs of goods sold.And the cost of Blue Bottle's goods sold is pretty expensive, but comparably worth it. Blue Bottle is a great coffee shop for interesting flavor profiles and expansions on standard coffee expectations. The staff is always wonderful and helpful, I highly recommend the Sweet Latte and Almond Croissant. The menu is pricey, but is nice for a treat on occasion.
