Had an odd experience, the one nice chef handed me my food, 2 burgers and fries and a panini and a bar code to scan at self checkout and told me to add a lunch special. I did exactly this and added two large coffees and paid, the big other guy came around and started asking me what I got and started entering my order over my shoulder and I had to tell him twice I paid already before he printed my receipt and looked it over (does this happen to most customers?) Before telling me I needed to pay for my fries, which could have been communicated come at a separate price than the burger and isn't included on the bar code scan. It wasn't though and I had to pay another four dollars for fries with people in line. I think they either need to be more communicative about prices at checkout, have someone always at checkout or have accurate scans.

The risotto at New Leaf today was 5-star restaurant quality. One of my coworkers said he's WFH today but was considering coming in just for the risotto :). Now I get the hype. The food is great and employees are always so friendly. The specials change every day of the week so there's a lot of variety. So glad to have this delicious & convenient food option at work.

So happy this place has reopened! A very good lunch value overall. Many interesting and creative daily specials, along with the usual grill menu items including burgers, pizza and burritos/burrito bowl. So far I've enjoyed 3 weeks worth of lunches here, the only thing that i think could use improvement are the muffins and the pizza (too bready for me) staff is very friendly and accommodating. Also breakfast specials available each morning! This cafe features self check out.

The restaurant was understaffed (as our server repeated the few times we saw her) but there also seemed to be poor organization and very inefficient work. Customers at other tables were clearly upset by long waits for partial orders, having to get up to locate silverware after their food had been delivered. While the food was fine it was not worth the unpleasant experience.

Not open on Mondays....but other than that it is convenient and has great food and drink. Also has outside seating.

here's the thing,,,there is no doubt that this place has the best draft beer selection in the area. The servers/'bartenders seem young and unexperienced. I understand that the covid/pandemic has hurt ALL bars and restaurants. In my opinion this can be corrected if the GM, Marisa, was supplied with a supporting assistant manager type cast as it seems she is forced to go it alone. Several years ago there were a few assistant type woman that helped her as well as a guy that worked the upper bar and was always there. Never needed a menu when he was there as he knew the menu, both food and beer, very well. That, in my opinion, is what Trails End is lacking. A while back I sat at the upper bar and it was hard to find someone old enough to pour a beer, not to mention explain the new draft arrivals. This was the strong point of the older guy ( I think his name was Dave) did best. Always walked me through the new beers, and there was always something new, which kept me coming back. Over the past few years the menu seems to constantly fluctuate. Maybe its due to a changing chef/line staff, as the same product differs depending on who makes it. I dont know. In any event I hope the place works out the kinks and the GM gets some help. The draft selection keeps me coming back, the food not so much. Lately I've been going to your Market for a 4 pack, as the food has slipped. Once again, just my opinion.

discovered this cafe while driving into Concord, stopped for lunch; returned the next day for dinner. both meals were great - fresh ingredients, attractive presentations, luscious desserts, friendly & efficient service.
