“Always came here before stopped here because I wanted something different then I normally eat I love their chicken cheese steaks they are the best cooked the way I like it hot fresh the staff was very nice and friendly the guy that waited on me was super nice friendly explained the menu because it was an old menu so he said the board above your head has the correct prices he made my sandwich and it's perfect hot n fresh just the way I like it the roll was soft the chicken cheese steak was really good it's enough for two people to have a half definitely will be coming back“

“The food was beyond fantastic. The attention to detail and combination of flavors was fantastic. I had the Steak Au Poivre encrusted with black pepper corns and to say the least it was delicious. Mariette our server was also amazing in guiding our group through the amazing menu. Will definitely be back when you visit Leonessa definitely make a reservation.“

“A really special place to dine out. The owner takes pride in making sure his guests have a first class dining experience. The Italian dishes are the equal of any restaurants on Wooster Street in New Haven. The Greek dishes are wonderful as well. Complimentary pizza slices at the start of the meal are a real treat.“

The pizza is always great and topping very fresh and above average quality.Tonight was again a pleasant experience, so pleasant I thought I’d leave a 5 star review. I ordered three sandwiches. When I arrived I had to wait make 5 minutes as they were busy with the dinner rush. Both the chef and counter person apologized profusely. It was not an issue at all. I just perused the store while I waited. When my order was ready the chef again politely thanked me for being patient and the counter person gave me a gift card for the inconvenience. I did not get either of these young mens names but please commend them. This is great customer service. The gift card was completely unnecessary but such a thoughtful touch. My takeout order was at 7:00pm on 2/27/24.The sandwiches were delicious as usual. Great customer service is a becoming more and more rare. “Stopped in while visiting the area and found some great food and personable folks in this neighborhood pub. Had subs that were wonderful (sub rolls perfect so you don’t feel you’re eating all bread) and grabbed cheesecake to go. Great place.“

“My hair stylist recommended this eatery. Located in a modest location tucked away at the end of a row of stores, this is a liitle gem. The owner who speaks with a lovely Italian accent, is more than welcoming. He accommodated my dietary needs and helped create a wonderful takeout meal that was both tasty and enjoyable. The prices are fair and the menu was extensive. When I picked up my to go order, the place was packed. People were buying pizza by the slices, as well as entrées and salads. I forgot to ask for low salt, but the menu item that I chose was perfectly seasoned compared to places that are heavy-handed with sodium. My request for gluten-free was honored and there were some replacements mail in my menu item which was a chicken Tuscan dish it was delicious. I highly recommend the spot. Call ahead take out only.“

“Pizza was good but not great.Had the pie with artichokes. The pieces of artichokes were tiny and they were just the leaves not the hearts. So you got a little of the taste of artichokes in it but none of the texture. It was like they added artichoke flavoring.“

“I've always loved Papa Gino's. The right crust is a must. And for a chain pizza joint, they've got the crust right. Crispy AND chewy with a good taste. Sauce is tasty as well and they're generous with toppings. Service is always pleasant too. “Pub with great food. I had a stacked burger. What stood out was that it was cooked to a perfect medium. Not rare, not well done, but a perfect, excellent, juicy medium. My friend had the swordfish on salad. Spectacular thick swordfish. Had to be over an inch thick and tasty.“

“I stopped here today and I asked the owner what he suggested. Steak and cheese sub with onions mushrooms and peppers. I'm glad I took his suggested menu item. Fresh and flavorful. The pizza/subshop was an existing business that the current owner has only had since February of 2023. He wants to brand it in his own fashion which will take some time. He believes his edge over surrounding shops is he prides himself on not taking any shortcuts and gives a bit more food qualities to the consumer according to him. He is a one-man operation. He wants to improve the appearance of the inside, I mentioned hopefully people will come here for good food which is reasonably priced, and they will keep coming back if the quality keeps continuing. Doesn't matter what the floors look like. By the way they are just painted concrete floors, lol. Good luck to him. Stop by and enjoy some menu items.“

“Best calzone on cape cod, 2nd being Yarmouth pizza and guy on phone was very nice and friendly. Definitely try tollys you will be satisfied..and by far most reasonable prices around. UPDATE: I went back for the first time in a few years and the Greek pizza was sub-par, I used to love this place it was one of the best,but i feel like new ownership took over or something because its not the same...Greek salad wasn't bad but if pizza is your thing then at least get that right.“
