“We drive an hour and a half for The Original's Fisherman's Platter! We've been customers for many years. Their fried foods are light & crispy. And in addition to the seafood, I feel they make the best onion rings on the Cape! Restaurant always looks very clean & outdoor seating is a bonus. Love The Original!Kid-friendliness: Lots of options for the kids, ice cream too!“
“Ate here on a busy night after the st paddy’s parade. Great beer list (sip of sunshine/maine lunch on draft!) and quality food. Our server was so pleasant - would go back again and bring the kids as there’s some arcade games in the back.“
“My husband and I had a vacay date night here and it did not disappoint! The drinks were amazing (the Bloody Mary with shrimp 10/10!), staff was exceptional and the food… SO GOOD! The seafood primavera will change your life. Making this a must do on future vacations!“
“Adorable family dinner. Clean, extremely friendly and cozy. Food is great plus amazing prices. I asked for 2x2x2, and it was a great choice. It's clean, everyone knows everyone. Coffee is robust and always fresh as many come in&out.“
“Excellent ambiance and the service was excellent and great presentation Our server Gus has alot of knowledge about the food and drinks and not to mention the deserts We were there for our daughters Birthday April 27 2024.Gus was and is the best Felt right at home“
“This place is worth taking the time to review! We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. Meg, our server (and also the owner’s mom) was friendly and kind and recommended the homemade grilled bread- which was delicious. My husband enjoyed the Reuben with homemade corned beef hash and I also had the chowder. Clean, affordable, good food, and great service. One thing to know, cash only- but they do have an atm.“
“Update! We went back a couple days later and the chef, Alex, remembered me.. he has the sweetest, warmest smile! The service was still amazing and the food was exceptional! I can't say enough good things about this little place! The bathroom was CLEAN!! The service was amazing and the food, Perfection!! Watching the chefs and cooks was wonderful. You can tell they LOVE doing what they do. Expect a wait, but don't worry- umbrellas are provided!!Parking: Probably 30 spots, but street parking is legal and close.Wheelchair accessibility: The bathroom may be too small for a wheelchair, but there are grab bars.“
“Just dined at 908Bistro for the first time tonight. So happy we tried it. Our waitress Jess was very friendly. Food was wonderful. I had the blackened steak top with Alfredo special. Steak tips were very tender. My husband had the seared tuna and sad it was great too. Will definitely be returning.“
“I got a breakfast bowl. Didn't like it. The hash wasn't cooked well and it had way too many potato pieces. Toast was extra. Also didn't have any eggs.i have eaten here before and it was very good; just not the breakfast bowl.“
“One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! The food is so delicious & innovative. Service is friendly & great. The decor is very cute and homie. Highly recommend the bacon jam Benedict & cold brew pancakes. We had less than a 20 minute wait for 2 around 10am on a Sunday in April.“
“A really special place to dine out. The owner takes pride in making sure his guests have a first class dining experience. The Italian dishes are the equal of any restaurants on Wooster Street in New Haven. The Greek dishes are wonderful as well. Complimentary pizza slices at the start of the meal are a real treat.“
“The first day open for the spring season. I would have not known if I were not informed as it felt like it was always open. Every body was very friendly, food was served fast and it was just as described. We (my wife and I) could have easily shared the soup and one Burger and it would have been enough.Parking: Next to (part of) Captains Golf Course.Wheelchair accessibility: Perfect.“
“Looking to try something different and found this tavern in my search. Took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Buffalo chicken dip with baked tortilla chips were awesome.WST burger looked amazing. The burger could have used a bit more flavor but it is possible the pulled pork, fried egg, and french toast bun stole the show. The baked haddock was very good, and the steak tips were divine. The fingerling potatoes were perfect.“
“A unique experience. Great food fast. Food and service could not be better. Prices are more than reasonable. Variety is incredible. You can get almost any breakfast item you can think of. Never seen a restaurant deliver (food, service and price) like Grumpy's. I live up the street but would drive a distance to eat there!“
“In April, we attended a wine dinner at the Pheasant with Patrick Cappiello, winemaker, of Monte Rio Cellars who presented his wines along side Executive Chef Andrew Reilly's most delectable dishes. The evening was beyond expectations! Lovely pours of wines while Patrick shared his history and wine techniques. The plentiful platters are served family style. The former owners, Bill and Denise Atwood, found the perfect young couple to hand their beloved restaurant to. We loved meeting like-minded oneophiles and look forward to many more such evenings.“
“Went there for a late breakfast and to catch up with an old friend . The place was immaculate and cozy, the hostess and our waitress were so friendly and welcoming . We were served our delicious bloody Mary’s quickly and then our waitress gave us the time we needed to order. She could tell we were more interested in talking than eating . The food came out fast after we finally ordered and it was plentiful , hot and delicious . The prices are very reasonable as well . Great find .“
“Our group of 4 visited the Scargo Cafe as newcomers, and the experience was even better than we had heard! First off, the Cape in early-March is practically shutdown for the winter, so finding an open restaurant is a challenge in itself. But not only was Scargo Cafe open, it was a quite filled with customers. Nonetheless, the service was prompt, friendly and experienced. Drinks orders were taken within a couple minutes and delivered soon thereafter (nice selection of wines and draft beers!). The menu had a wide diversity of choices, quite impressive. We ordered the special beef stir fry, grilled swordfish with rice/asparagus, and shrimp asian salad (w/ almonds+cranberries). Topped off by grape-nut custard (a house specialty). Everything was excellent and filling. Will certainly return when back to the Cape.“
“Finding the Piccadilly Cafe and Deli may well have been our saving grace as far as Breakfast and Lunch places go - since moving to the Cape full time 2+ years ago we’ve been mooning over the lack of Deli style restaurants here versus those we had up in Metrowest (shout out to Kugel’s Deli in Framingham!) We’ve driven past Piccadilly at least a hundred times and never stopped in - our BIG mistake! One morning we decided to try them for breakfast as we were out very early (6:30 pm) and lo and behold - we were happily surprised by not only the selection and quality but the PRICES were amazingly reasonable!Everyone there is incredibly welcoming (Patti, Stacie, Sue & Cara, along with Eddie and Jen at the counter are all amazing) and they will soon know your name and greet you like family - give Piccadilly a try and you won’t regret it - LOTS of options for both breakfast and lunch - a really good cup of coffee and early hours makes this our Go To most weekdays and weekend morning!“
“Pizza was good but not great.Had the pie with artichokes. The pieces of artichokes were tiny and they were just the leaves not the hearts. So you got a little of the taste of artichokes in it but none of the texture. It was like they added artichoke flavoring.“
“Great Cape Cod seafood restaurant with some of the best clam chowda in New England. Servers are very friendly. Has a rustic feel inside. The bar area has a ton of fire uniform patches from all over the world!!! The main dining area has lots of windows and is very well lit. On my last visit my youngest and I each had chowda, she had the lobster macaroni and cheese and I had the baked Cod. Everything was delicious! I have had their fried seafood in the past, always cooked perfectly!“
“I cannot say enough good things about this place. Every server and employee there was so nice, friendly, and warm! The food was absolutely delicious! Perfect night out! I'm looking forward to going back there for my birthday dinner :)Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options!“
“I am finally taking the time to add my review of Spinnaker. Right from the start Andrea the co-owner is the most accommodating, friendly and upbeat person you will ever meet. She is always willing to fit my wife and I in and always welcomes us like family to the restaurant. The service is stellar, a great group of professional team members that treat all patrons like royalty. The atmosphere is quaint and very comfortable. Very good sound levels and no bad tables. Rob, co-owner and chef is as good as you will ever find on the cape. The food is consistently excellent and you can tell he takes pride in every meal that leaves the kitchen. Rob and Andrea have a background in food preparations with roots in the North End of Boston as well as Italy. The menu is not extensive but every meal is of the highest quality. There is a good mix of seafood, Italian and American cuisine. My wife and I believe that Spinnaker has raised food to the next level on Cape Cod“
“Today we were lucky to enjoy Navillus in Orleans. What a great place!!This restaurant is delight, beautiful, modern, bright and hip. It's a perfect combination of sophistication and yet totally casual, no intimidation whatsoever. The staff was terrific and outgoing. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The chef is an artist in all aspects of food creation. The food was fabulous. We started with a caesar salad and a beet with goat cheese salad. Although theses salads are often available they were both a cut above. The Caesar was delicatey dressed with generous shaved cheese and in house made croutons. The croutons are delicious, crunchy, well seasoned with a light cheese taste. We could have eaten a bowl of croutons. The beet salad was gorgeous with a refreshing lightly sweet dressing. The large golden beet slices draped the salad and were accented with deep purple beet slices. The high quality goat cheese was the perfect amount. The beets were cooked perfectly. Then we had the Cacio e Pepe, which was perfect. We loved the taste and texture of the fresh Bigoli pasta which was tossed with Parmesan and black pepper. We also had the Pan Seared Halibut. The beautiful thick pan seared halibut was well seasoned and served on sweet corn polenta topped with a mix of asparagus, frisee and pea shoots with pickled red onion. The pickled onion combined with the fresh sweet corn polenta set off a connection of flavors that was unbelievable. It"s a dish that will long be remembered. After all this we topped of the meal with Creme Brule and a dish of house made Strawberry ice cream. The Creme Brule was a beautiful rich eggy custard with a thin sugar coating top with a generous amount of homemade whipped cream. I have to say the Creme Brule was one of the best we've ever had. The strawberry ice cream was like eating the best fresh sweet strawberries in a silky smooth cream form. We strongly recommend this restaurant and hope it will be a permanent fixture in Orleans!“
“Our experience from the front door to leaving after dining was impeccable...staff, our waitress, the food ??, atmosphere, comfort and plenty of attention without hovering...the best waitress we've had in years...wish my older brain remembered her name but very tall, pretty & wearing bunny ears! (Easter)We were sorry we hadn't tried them sooner, and therefore, more often. We highly recommend Red River BBQ.“
“My husband and I had our Wedding rehearsal dinner on Lobster Roll Cruises this past August. What an incredible experience it was! The service was amazing all night long. The drinks were killer, the food was spectacular, and the vibe was perfect! The best lobster roll I’ve EVER had, hands down. Cruising along Sesuit harbor provided incredible views and special memories for us and our guests! The price was also totally reasonable and beyond worth it, our friends and family had a BLAST it was the perfect way to kick off our Wedding weekend. Thank you so much to the crew + captain for making our rehearsal dinner unforgettable! We cannot wait to come back again soon!!! ☺️“
“The staff was AMAZING and the ice cream was delicious, at a great price. Quick note: the portions are HUGE. A small is considered a large at other places. Me and my family could not finish. Still one of the best Ice cream places I've ever been to.“
“I ordered the Brie Apple and fig omelet out of curiosity and ready to maybe wish I hadn't but let me tell you, this is the best omelet I have had in ages. I was not expecting this combo to be so good! The restaurant is family friendly all the way around. They accommodate strollers and Inglesina seats workout great here. This will be my new go-to when we are in town every few months. The staff are just so so nice!“
“The Beacon Room is a must do. We ventured upon The Beacon Room last year and had such a great experience that we talked about it throughout the year. We knew when we came back this fall we had to go again. The atmosphere is welcoming, restaurant is cozy and warm. The food.... Amazing. Staff.. amazing. In particular, Brian. We made early reservations for a hi-top (definitely make reservations). We asked if the bar was available when we arrived and it turns out it was.. which is what we hoped for. We had such a great experience with Brian last time, so this was a great surprise. Brian is attentive, personable, listens and very knowledgeable of cocktails and food recommendations. He interacts with customers, knows what they like.. all while handling a full bar. You can also share with Brian what you're thinking of ordering and what appetizer might pair up well with that. He's spot on, too! This year we had the Burrata app.. amazing. Lovely toasted bread with garlic, greens and fresh cherry tomatoes. We ordered the duck (as did I last year) and the NY strip, rare. Both came with the phenomenal Brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. Absolutely fantastic. We each ordered dirty martinis , which were delicious and made perfectly. We will definitely be back next year and will continue to highly recommend The Beacon Room. If you are visiting the cape, we highly recommend you add this gem to your places to visit. You won't be disappointed.“
“Larry's PX gives you exactly what you'd expect from a casual diner, in the best way. The biggest bonus, in my book, is that they won't rush you off the table. You can actually spend time catching up with a friend here. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.“
“Love the industrial vibe layout, I got a Mexican hot chocolate, a breakfast sandwich and my partner got a cake doughnut and the breakfast tacos. The food was delicious, there was a bit of a wait but it is the off season. Definitely will return!“
“The Thanksgiving buffet was a cornucopia of dishes. Raw bar, carving stations, and a Macallan tasting station, to name just some. The food, the service and the ambiance was exceptional. Lastly, the chef and his staff ensured all patrons were satisfied. This was a Thanksgiving to remember!“
“We recently stayed at the Orleans Waterfront Inn for a wedding. The hotel is centrally located and a good launching spot to explore the outer cape. The view of the cove from our bedroom was lovely and the wedding reception/ festivities were also great. Everyone working at the inn was very friendly and more than accommodating. The rooms were also clean and comfortable.“
“Wonderful restaurant....with a large bar area in a separate area.We split a large ceasar salad between 3...it could have fed 4 or more.Scallops were plentiful...Lamb chops were seasoned perfectly....over white beans....and the asparagus was cooked perfectly as well. The steaming bowl was full of seafood over a small amount of pasta. The broth was exceptional as was the service.“
“We happened to be driving by looking for a place for breakfast and stopped here and I'm SO glad we did. We loved it. The food was delicious, service was prompt and friendly, and prices were reasonable. I had an omelette and my husband had the Lobster Benedict and we were both extremely happy with our meals. It's a cozy place where you can enjoy breakfast without feeling like you're being rushed out the door. We will definitely be returning to try some additional dishes. Highly recommend.“
“So excited to see vegan options here. The huevos rancheros were great, substituted their amazing potatoes for eggs. It’s fun to watch the planes while you’re eating. Next time I’ll try the vegan pancakes. Thanks you!Vegetarian options: Vegan huevos rancheros and vegan pancakes“
“Tonight my wife and I had dinner and it was quite a great experience! We were warmly greeted and brought to a cozy, warm and pleasantly lit table. Our waitress Julie was wonderful! I order the scallop special and my wife had the lobster papperdera. The food was top shelf! We split a vanilla, honey and caramel cake with a few espresso martinis. Overall I would rate this a “Best in World Class restaurant”providing the very best service. Having met a dear friend Kathy from the past made the night even better. Highly recommend dining here!“
“Nice! Superbowl Sunday, and onr of my usual haunts won't pick up the phone. Well, now I have a new haunt. First timer to Jake Rooneys. It's been there for as far back as I can remember, but I'd never been. Fabulous, perfectly seasoned, turkey dinner special tonight, tried the barley soup, and apple crisp for dessert. I'll be back!“
“I have been annually vacationing in Dennis for over 40 years. Where have you been all my life?! We went this year with our adult sons and we all agree that our food was unique, amazing, and worth every single penny. Outstanding service, ambience, and the food is above and beyond. We can't wait to come back for more.“
“The busy places had a ridiculous wait time. So we drove to this place. The decor isnt welcoming, its more of a sports bar than family dining. Food was pleasantly surprising. Hostess was friendly. We got calamari, mac and cheese, fisherman's platter and broiled scallops. Everything was very good. Give this place a consideration. The food wont disappoint.“
“I was there with my MA family for Easter dinner and we were all very satisfied with the atmosphere, service and food!Three of the adults ordered off of the Easter menu, one from the Tavern menu and the 3 kids got the chicken fingers and fries. I was the only one needing a to go container for the rest of my risotto, and that was after the other 3 adults tried it! There was a lot of risotto and I was happy to take it home for later!Vegetarian options: I opted for the vegetarian risottoKid-friendliness: 3 boys under 12 and they had a great time with crayons and their yummy food!“
“This place is awesome! The servers name was Matt L, he was awesome with how kind he was! The food is great and tasty! The complimentary popcorn is delicious and buttery. Overall it’s a really nice place for dinner or lunch!Parking: Parking is right in front of the buildingKid-friendliness: Kids menu is great! They have chicken fingers, burgers, etcWheelchair accessibility: The entrance is a ramp.“
“On walking in, it did not smell fishy or like dirty fry oil! Just good food! It's a counter service spot with a good menu. The lobster roll was fantastic and full of sweet lobster. Fried clam straps were bland but we made them better with all the condiments. The food overall was fresh and good. I would recommend!Dietary restrictions: Extensive gluten free menu!“
“What more can be said about Sir Crickets. Truly a cape code institution. Fish perfectly battered and fried. Fries crispy and well portioned. Coleslaw a great touch. All of the condiments you could want, including unlimited lemon wedges. Will be back.“
“Being in a small plaza, this place was a pleasant surprise with a cozy colonial atmosphere. We were seated by a window that had a beautiful view. The menu had some great offerings. Inhad the Turkey Stuffing melt with Mac & Cheese. It was excellent, some of the best turkey I've had eating out.My husband had the Cape Cod Rueben, which was filling for him and tasted great. The service was great, I was surprised by how fast our.food came out after ordering.Over all, we both agreed it was a great choice on our day trip.“
“Cute spot! I had been wanting to try this place for a long time, but since I'm more of a night owl, I was never around during their open hours. However, today I was in town for the Farmer's Market and stopped by after the market here for a tropical smoothie with pineapple, mango and coconut. I liked that the smoothie was not overly sweet and had good flavor. The coconut flakes do contribute a weird consistency which didn't really both me, but I could see others not enjoying this. I thought it was kind of a weird choice of ingredient. Service was quick- spot is a little small and was a bit crowded so I took mine to go and enjoyed while strolling around the main streets. Would definitely stop in again next time I am in the area. Street parking is relatively easy, although you may need to parallel, and free for two hours.“
“Decent enough place to get a sandwich. They were good enough but not enough to rate five stars.Gotta ask. Why do you have to put in sooo much mayonnaise in your chicken salad. Do you think people really like it or is it just to save money?“
“Delicious burritos with a nice selection to choose from, or you can customize a made fresh to order option of your choice.I ordered the large sized Buffalo-Ranch chicken burrito, which was massive in size, and the ingredients tasted very fresh. They have a small selection of desserts, too. The Bailey's Whoopie in particular caught my eye esthetically. It was such a cute and a tasty treat. It's unfortunate that the prices are so high. Otherwise, I'd come here more often for the good product and friendly service.“
“Excellent golf course layout with a fun but challenging course which is in excellent condition.Bunkers are strategically placed making the approach to greens also challenging. You will not be disappointed. After golf you can go restaurant on property for a beer or meal.I played many rounds and keep coming back.“
“My husband and I eat breakfast here every time we are at the Cape. The restaurant is very clean and bright, the food is fresh and hot, and our server is always attentive to coffee refills. The owner is so friendly, we feel like we are eating with good friends. Best place for breakfast!!!! Go Lions! :)“
“The Den is always a go-to when we visit the Cape. The food never disappoints and the service is on point. The burgers are juicy and delicious and the fish sandwich (The Cape Cod) is a must try! For something different try the cauliflower poppers. The kids absolutely loved them!“
