I’ve been here about 3 times and the chicken is fantastic each time. The service is also very friendly & they care about their customers. I love this spot and have made it a point to come here whenever I get a chance.
Review is for take out. Order was ready under 15 mins. I got the side dish of sweet plantain (so moist and edges were caramelized and crispy) and mix chicken (breast and drumsticks but I told her that I dont like white meat so staff was able to swap with chicken leg) order. The chicken pieces were perfectly seasoned and oh the sauce! There is a place in Union Sq that serves entrees with the "special" sauce. I am so happy to find the "special" sauce at Pollo Royal! Ordered from here twice already. Chicken has been consistent, beautifully cooked and prepared. Not too oily, and has a perfectly crisp skin to it. Sides are delicious too. Their sauce for the chicken is the ideal amount of spicey heat, very flavorful. Great value, especially the combo set. Overall, I'd be looking forward to eating their food again.
