First of all probably the dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever been in. There’s cobwebs on everything that are years old. Staff is rude and pretentious for no reason because it’s not that good.

Osteria La Civetta is one of our favorite restaurants! It's a cozy, intimate and romantic atmosphere, which we love. The lights are dim and the decor is unique. The tables aren't too close together so we felt like we could have a private conversation. They have a nice selection of Italian wines. I selected the Primitivo, which was pretty good. The menu is small, but still includes many great options. I had the tortelloni with butternut sage sauce. It was great! The pasta is all made fresh in-house. I also had the affogato for dessert and it was delicious. I highly recommend! We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful atmosphere and service. However, a single average-sized serving of lasagna, 1.5 glasses of wine and a shared (small but delicious) turamisu was $150 (tip included) for two people. No salad, no veg, just a single portion of lasagna in a bowl and some bread. Waaayyyyy overpriced. This is our second visit, and although we love the Tuscany-esk atmosphere and service goodness, it is just crazy expensive. Too many other good choices in Falmouth and the upper Cape with great food and expensively reasonable prices..

My daughters and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here on December 30, 2023. I did my study abroad in Firenze in 1985 and my oldest daughter had an internship in Roma in 2023. We found the food here to be as tasty and authentic as any Italian restaurant in the USA. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Both my daughters are vegetarian. One ordered the Pomodoro and the other ordered the Tortelloni with butter and sage sauce. Both were very pleased.

By far the best service I’ve gotten in a restaurant in my life. Had the tortelloni bolognese. Was unbelievable. Beautiful wines too. The tiramisu was stupendous too.

Wonderful place and atmosphere. They make their own pasta in-house! Yay. I definitely only love to eat homemade fresh pasta, if feels better in my system and this place was delish. Their pesto was yummy as well. Oh and the olives they have are my favorite olives (just a funny coincidence). The only thing was that I thought the bread and olive oil was on the cheap side. Not the best in comparison to everything else. Sadly. The Rosso di Toscana wine ? was absolutely lovely! Get a glass!Sitting outside was very nice but a little warm. Wish they had some oscillating fans above to help move sit around in the summer. Our server was wonderful as well.Very lovely. Can’t wait to go again next summer.Vegetarian options: Small vegetarian options such as pesto or plain marinara and of course salad available.

Disappointing experience. I had big hopes for this highly reviewed place but our meal was meh. I've had a lot of Italian food (including in Italy). The menu looked great but in reality, pasta was too salty and overly al dente, making it a chore to eat. Service was ok but but a little generic, not as welcoming as is usually the case in a fancier restaurant. A nice bread basket with olive oil for drizzling. Four stars for the cozy ambience and interesting place settings, but the pounding subwoofer bass of the nightclub background music detracted from the atmosphere -- why not jazz or even some Sinatra?

First of all my husband and I went on a rainy day at 430. Instead of being pleased our greeting was "do you have a reservation" we explained that we didn't and asked for a window seat, which by the way was still vacant when we left. We had a nice cozy table in the back, which was fine. Dee our waitress was informative and kind. We ordered a bottle of wine and meat and cheese tray, which was wonderful. However, when our meals arrived they were doused in salt. I had the lasagna Bolognese which was fine without the added salt, however oversalted. The cabanoro was heavily salted. I understand pancetta is salty but they overdid the pasta with salt to the point it was inedible. Didn't appreciate the way we're received considering my family's origin is from northern Italy and we were treated as if we had no knowledge of Italian food. Needless to say I left an unhappy customer.
