“We had a delicious dinner tonight at The Pauper’s Pantry. We started with the tasty lobster poutine appetizer. The mix of lobster, hollandaise sauce, and munster cheese was creative and a great complement to our seafood main course. A visit to this cozy, scratch kitchen restaurant must include their haddock topped with lobster and a side of broccoli rabe over perfectly crafted mashed potatoes. The haddock was moist, fresh, and buttery tender as well as the lobster claw meat garnish. I had the lunch size since we ordered an appetizer. The haddock was a solid 8 oz which was filling with the generous serving of the broccoli and mashed potatoes. We ended our meal by sharing the decadent banana cream pudding. Excellent service and delicious food will bring us back more often.”

“This place is amazing. Their meatloaf is a slice of heaven. I’ve been on the search for an amazing meatloaf for quite some time now and this place knows what they’re doing. My fiancé had a blueberry, bacon, jam, goat cheese, and turkey grilled cheese. Sandwich was huge and she loved it. Amazing service and great place all around. Can’t wait to get back there. There’s nothing like a restaurant that takes their food, their service and their quality very seriously.”

“Went for a second visit as our first was cut short due to an emergency. Again, great food, great service and very reasonable prices! The staff are all friendly and you get a good sized portion of eats. We both took half of ours home. If you haven't tried them you, well worth a visit. We will be going again for sure. There's a second location in the works in Fitchburg that we visited on our way home. Check that out as well! Neat location where you can sit outside in front a water front with a dam. Cascading water sounds to comfort you!!”

“I live like an hour and a half away from this restaurant, I was here for a hotel stay, and we(my family and I) went here for dinner, and it was the best food we’ve ever had. My brother had the steak and it had butter on it that was just mouthwatering. My mom had cheese burger sliders and she said that the serving was perfect, and they were just overall delicious. My dad had the ribs, and he said they were the best ribs he’s ever, and each rib had a lot more meat on it than he had expected. Both me and my father had the Cajuns sides(fries/tater tots) and they were perfectly seasoned. Me and my sister had the Mac and cheese, I couldn’t finish it the portion was so big, but my sisters was a smaller portion and it was perfect for her because she finished all but like three bites. Not only was the food delicious but the wait staff was incredible. They were so polite and on top of things, and our drinks were always full. One of the wait staff, I didn’t get her name, had moved around the table to be near my brother when he ordered because he was a little nervous. The food came out very quickly and the atmosphere was incredible, as well as the fact that the place was over all very clean. Honestly the best dining experience I’ve ever had.

Kid-friendliness: My little sister wanted the Mac and cheese, but it only had the adult size, but they gave her a smaller portion for a less price, amazing for her.”

“Just found this farmstand by chance. My daughter played in a soccer tournament at Game On in Fitchburg. We went in to grab a sandwich between games. It was amazing. We spent so much time looking at all the unique stuff they are selling. We loved it so much that we went back after the second game. We tasted and bought their balsamic vinegars and olive oils . I bought a couple of plants. It is a must visit if you are in the area of Fitchburg.”

“My husband and I finally got to try Pammy’s Place. He got a plan waffle and I got an Asiago bagel with their homemade spinach artichoke cream cheese. We also both got a London Fog. So good! The staff are friendly, quick service. Very nice atmosphere. We are going to start have breakfast dates on Fridays since he works from home on Fridays. It wasn’t loud, like a lot of small breakfast/lunch places can be, so it was nice to be able to have conversation without having to strain to hear each other. This is the perfect place a little breakfast/lunch date. 10/10 recommend.”

“The best bar in Massachusetts! I go there every time I'm in time I'm in Fitchburg. Historical landmark that opened in the 1930s after prohibition. I especially liked the mermaid themed ladies room . I stuck around for the wonderful live entertainment with a lot of diverse talent. The owner Monica was super awesome too.I ? that bar!”

“my experience with mera’s cakes is excellent. the staff are super friendly, and talk with you like they’ve known you forever. They really care about their customers and love their business. their desserts are so good, i always get tres leche.. this time i got a oreo one…. soooo good😩😩 my boyfriend loves cookies so i get him the nutella cookie and the ferrero rocher cookie. i also got a ferrero this time around, so chocolatey and gooey and melts in your mouth!! 1000000/10 stars for this business”

“I live right up the street from country Pizza and order from their frequently. They never disappoint. The staff is always courteous, regardless of how busy they are. The restaurant is clean and they also offer outdoor dining. Our favorite menu item is the bacon and pepperoni pizza. Always fresh out of the oven - cheesy and gooey just the way we love it. When we’re looking for a delicious snack, they also offer some unique flavors of ice cream. On occasion they have other homemade treats on their counter as well. I highly recommend Country Pizza.”

I traveled to Fitchburg from Boston as was also surprised at the low prices and amount of food as compared to Boston. Overall, great pizza, cheap prices, and generous portions.”

“Welcome to the Paddock, a good old school bar. Nothing fancy and nothing too loud. The bartenders were fast, helpful and entertaining. They welcomed you like a friend. Omg we have ordered 3 times from them so far and we just absolutely LOVE their food.. the pizza is TO DIE FOR!!!! .. and not only that my delivery driver tonight was Katie.. let’s just say she went above and beyond, she literally made my day!!!!! She was super sweet and kind !!!! She asked if I had dogs and I said yes but they are in the backyard.. (I have 3)… she gave my dog treats for my pups!!!!! She is just so super sweet and thoughtful.. thank you Zeda’s for saving dinner (again) tonight ! My son loves your food!!!!! ❤️❤️”
