A big fan of Filho's, but yesterday was a disappointment. Talked so much about the great food to a friend I invited to lunch. She ordered a panini. Tomato, pesto and mozzarella. It came slapped together inside a baguette. Not grilled or pressed. Just those items on a plate. $13

Just chanced to dine here and we're glad we did. Very busy, and it took us a bit of time and observation to see how things work...you order and pay at the register, get a number, and wait for a table. If you want wine or beer, you go down the hall to a package store and bring it back.The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Staff work like crazy...tip them well.

The food was delicious. You order at the counter. They bring the food to the table as well as fresh bread. It's BYOB. There's a liquor store next door that has an excellent selection of beer and wine to choose from. Highly recommend.

Other than wishing there were more places to sit and eat, this was a wonderful experience. The food was the star of the evening and got the stamp of approval from even our picky eaters. The staff were kind, quick and responsive as well. The only complaint is that the tables were small for the amount of food served to 4 people, although it was doable. Definitely recommending this hidden gem!
Love the serve yourself section, honestly. It's a little different, and I enjoy the change of pace. The food was so good!

My wife and I will do takeout, buy one entry, ask for extra bread and ad in side salads, or two deserts. That's a perfect dinner for us.
