“Our favorite restaurant in the region. The fried chicken is classic. The lamb shoulder was perfect. Their quality is consistent. We so glad the owner-employees have sustained the quality so well. We took a chef in our family there - he raved over it. We'll be back!“

“I adore the Archives! Definitely one of the best mixology places in the Pioneer Valley. Classic and original cocktails are VERY well prepared. The speakeasy entry and old basement environment are very cool and surprisingly comfortable. I regularly drive half an hour out of my way to visit.“

“The food is wonderful here, and reasonably priced considering that it is top quality, unusual, so well and freshly prepared, so thoughtfully plated and served. I had fried oysters as an appetizer and the venison as a main. We shared a caesar salad. He had the blackened fish and an appetizer of cod and lobster on toasted brioche. It was all very good (I liked my dishes better). The servers were really good too, extremely attentive and kind. The pace of the place was nice- relaxed but not a big lag time between ordering and eating. If you don't mind a loud restaurant, then by all means check this place out; it's great! I told the server that I was not happy about the noise and she seemed to understand, and I did not feel sorry to mention it. That kind of atmosphere is not for everyone, and certainly not for someone who does not drink alcohol, and also has sensitive hearing. We discovered that speaking in low tones helped us to communicate through the noise, but it could not neutralize the bombastic cheer of our fellow diners, a few of whom were gifted and prolific orators.“

“Very busy on a Friday early evening, parking challenging as their lot was full at 5:30, and side streets are mostly one way, but that's Holyoke. Service was exemplary - everything came out quickly. My companion had striped bass, a special, and said it was wonderful . I had the short rib which was outstanding despite a bit of fat, which is to be expected. Fried oysters great, flourless chocolate torte very good. Good selection of wine by the glass, and unusually generous pour. Atmosphere lively, pretty loud in the bar area, but nonetheless fun.So nice to have a place like this in downtown. Will return for sure.“

“Had a great experience here. Pizza was delicious (sausage ala vodka); their take on ramen is unique, it's not quite ramen but it is good for what it is, almost a sort of a goulash; the egg rolls were delicious and we were happy with the beer and the ginger-honey lemonade. Would definitely return! Great service and relaxed atmosphere, too.“

“This is a quirky place. Very limited menu. There are only 6 dinner choices plus an additional couple specials. It wasn't easy to find something for everyone but the food we chose was excellent. We had fried chicken and biscuit and the dumplings for apps. Both were very good. I ended up with the braised short ribs with a fried potato cake. It was really delicious. The potato was outstanding!! My husband had crab cakes and roasted potatoes, which he enjoyed. The wait staff were great. Super friendly and they were all dressed cute with space buns in their hair. They definitely enhanced the experience. I wouldn't rush back just because there aren't enough choices but the food is quality and what we had we really enjoyed.“
“REALLY NICE! I love an improvisational Manhattan, what can I say? And the lady barkeep on duty gave me something so nice, so smoky, so spicy... it was great! Yes, the place is tiny, that's why they call it "gigantic". I'm sure the folks running the place would love to have, and fill, a larger venue but it is what it is. The decor is interesting too, all sorts of antique crystal and photographs of long-past Presidents and a book wall full of quaint books. The only problem is that they have no parking area and the on-street parking is mighty sparse.“
“The ciders are dry, but if you’re not into cider, they serve awesome cocktails, craft beer from New England breweries, and wine. The cider house is cute and with a cozy, rustic yet sophisticated atmosphere. The bartenders were very nice. All in all- we had a great time and will be back! I can’t rate the food since it’s food trucks.“
“Bartender was awesome Tara, I was drinking redbull and Tito. On my third drink Tara respectfully approached me and asked me how I was feeling... To my surprise she was actually and genuinely worried cause I have consumed 3 redbulls. I immediately told her that she was my favorite bartender... Nit once have I been checked before and all my drinks are with redbulls... Concerned of my heartbeats not one bartender of any bar has done it... You save in this place they Carr for their customers... Tara does planning to visit this bar after im back from vacations... Overall real good bar...“

“Shiloh is a ROCKSTAR! Professional, always smiling and truly AHmazing at her job. We sat at the bar and had a meal as well. Like everywhere it appeared they could have used more help on a busy Parents Weekend but you would have never known it based on her service. She is an asset to this restaurant and I hope you know it.“
