I just missed the happy hour ?? lol but still had a great time food was amazing Maddie the bartender was great made the best rum punch I've ever had it was better than the rum punch I was drinking in Jamaica...the food was great as well as the atmosphere I definitely can't wait to go back to see my Girl Maddie she's my new favorite bartender. “I used to love coming here pre pandemic! I brought my friend with me from out of town and we were having a GREAT night with the bartender Dustin (who literally was excellent), and at the end of the night it was just my friend, the owner, and I. The conversation was calm and civil and fun and suddenly out of NOWHERE the owner proceeded to verbally assault us, calling us expletives and making us feel unsafe and unwelcome. We decided it was no longer for us and stepped outside, at which point he FOLLOWED US OUTSIDE and alternated between apologizing and cursing at us and begging us to come back inside until we left. I’m glad we didn’t go back inside as his behavior was erratic and potentially dangerous, considering we were two women and he is a much larger man. We were afraid and felt safer walking home (in Hartford that says something) rather than staying put. I’m bummed because I used to like this place, but it’s come to my attention we are certainly not the only women with this experience. Please be careful y’all.“

“Agave is one of my favorite bars in Hartford! There are so many things to love. First, I love their happy hour specials (both food and drinks). Second, I love their Sangriarita and any flavored margaritas! They will even let you mix flavors, I recommend mixing mango and guava! Third, I love their chicken chimichanga, it's my go to meal every time. Fourth is their endless chips and salsa. Fifth, it's a great restaurant or bar to go to before or after any event at the XL Center. Sixth, I enjoy their decor, it has a great welcoming atmosphere, including fun music. Last but not least, they love any excuse to celebrate. They will have drink specials for days such as national tequila day which are always fun to attend. Check this place out for yourself!“
“Came on a Sunday and ordered a decent amount of food for my family . 1 large meal with fried chicken n jerk pork , Soup and 2 small chicken meals . The woman serving me had a little attitude but then eventually made an effort to be more pleasant after I matched her energy . The food was good though and I’ll be back ??“
“I swear RAW has been the talk of the CT foodie scene since it first opened! I finally made a visit and right away the ambiance struck me as definitely being unique and such a cool addition to downtown Hartford. All of the food was tasty, and I found myself really enjoying the sushi! The seafood tower was just honestly out of this world with the amount of fresh seafood we receive (so this would be something perfect to order with a group)! Really cool cocktails, and the presentation of everything was on point. I mean look at the fish and chips! Cool place with a nice vibe and perfect for pics!“
“Solid food and great atmosphere. The fish really was cooked beautifully and the staff was top notch. Yummy fish and chips.Today we had a couple of apps and they were quite tasty. Calamari was really solid and my buddy got the Buffalo shrimp. They had a special swordfish entree with Lobster risotto and it was really quite tasty. Solid work per usual.Delicious clam soup and salmon dish. The spetzel (sp) was fun and unexpected. Also decent pours for your gin on the rocks. Bombay would be proud. A little heavier handed would be appreciated but better than many places. The burger looked great and the chicken parm was large and tasty.
