We got the crispy thai roll appetizers, I got the Tom Yum soup, and we got mango chicken rice. The soup broth was delicious and the chicken in the rice was cooked perfectly.“

“Hubs and I have been here a few times over the years. We decided Friday to meet a friend for lunch. Low key ambiance, its like a home broken up into different dining rooms. Upstairs is more open like a tavern or bar. Friday we were sat in a cozy small dining room area. We opted to start with the combo platter and crab cakes. Everything was crispy, hot, and seasoned well. It came with many dipping sauces plated cutely on a beer flight board. The crab cakes were fat and sweet with the delicious crab. Hubs had the Reuben sandwich, which was packed with meat. My friend and I opted for the special cheeseburger salad. When described, it sounded terrific. What was served could have been much better. While it was huge, it lacked ease of eating and flavor. It was served in a massive bowl with large pieces of lettuce, and on top was a cheeseburger patty layered with onions and cheese and a smidge of aioli. It made it extremely hard to eat. Even though the salad was disappointing, the other food service and ambiance will surely bring us back!“

Everything was very tasty! Loved how crispy/crunchy both the English muffin and bacon were. But the standouts were definitely the chourico and the home fries. Both were fantastic.. great flavor and the home fries are cooked with caramelized onions (which I love!) -Smoked Salmon Benedict :English muffin topped with two poached eggs, smoked salmon & hollandaise sauce (comes with home fries, beans or fresh fruit on the side) . My daughter said this was amazingly delicious! Perfectly poached eggs, creamy buttery hollandaise, grilled English muffins, salmon was tender with a nice Smokey flavor.. paired beautifully with the rest of the dish. The decor is nautical themed.. there are a bunch of little tables and a long bench (with pillows) along the front wall. Cute, clean and cozy.. little hand written signs throughout, with one listing their muffins of the day. (I believe todays offerings were corn, blueberry and chocolate chip). Waitress was super friendly and attentive. I have to make a special mention of the prices.. it is such a good deal! Everything we got (including coffee) it all only came to 25 dollars total (that’s with tax too!).. given the portion sizes and quality of food, that’s an insane bargain. I can’t recommend this place enough. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!“

“End of September 2023 we are here. The business is very busy and a lot of traffic in and out. First time here and I spoke to others here today who said they love it here and the ice cream flavors. Many have been coming for years and are loyal customers. We had single scoop ice cream on a waffle cone. I used to make home made ice cream for a restaurant and know when it is flavored well. I had the cookies and cream which was chocolate ice cream, and had good flavor to it. I'm not here to eat a pint of ice cream at once so the one scoop was plentiful. About $5 for a small which is a single scoop, again plenty for me. I also picked up a doggy cup which was just under $5. But there was plenty of vanilla cream in the cup with a large cookie on top. Many places give a very small amount of cream and a small milk bone and charge $5 for a doggy bowl. There was plenty for my dog to eat. We were here for 25 minutes and counted about 30 cars in and out with loads of people waiting in line, on this cloudy and cooler afternoon. I would have to say that Benson's is doing something right to draw in this many people on a cloudy September evening. I am sorry those others have had a not so great visit. Perhaps you might take a break for a bit and come back with an open mind. You may have a better opinion.“

It was fresh, seared and cooked to perfection. The Spicy Tuna Gyoza were a little over fried as you can see from the pictures but well within normal limits. The inside was warm and tasty.The Pork Short Ribs were tender and sticky with a tasty soy glaze. All in all everything we ordered was delicious. The only caveat was the Hamachi Kama was not quite as fatty as I was hoping for. IT was very good with some rice though.Our bartender was pleasant and prompt and overall the ambience was welcoming and warm. We have been any ties over the years and will definitely be back.“
