Great place! Hidden Gem. Made last minute reservations for a large party (12) short notice. They happily added us! Waitress was great and very attentive. We never had to look for her. Food was fantastic and came out in good timing for all parties at the table. Bill came out and tip was included, however, waitress didn't mention it. I added additional tip and did not notice until the next day. I called the resturant and bartender took message for the owner. The next day I received an apologetic call from the owner that she refunded my additional tip. I don't think the waitress did it intentionally, and I certainly missed it on the receipt. Great service and an establishment I will be frequenting. Thank you Rustico!!

The food, drinks, and service were very good however their prices were way out whack for the atmosphere and location....it's Mattapoisett not Providence or Boston.

Prices are too high appetizers are less than sub-par Drinks are too small and overpriced filled with ice.. 64.00 charged me 25.00 when I asked about alcohol in a 6oz cocktail.. Added another shot for one 6 oz drink for 25.00 bucks

Been here several times for lunch and really enjoyed it. Made the mistake of going for dinner. Nothing wrong with the food, except that half our part was served 7 minutes before the other half. No explanation or apology from the waiter. Which brings us to Ray, our server. Quite possibly one of the most neglectful and rude waiters we've had the misfortune of having. Never asked if we wanted our drinks refilled; walked by us twice while half the party was served and the other waiting, never said a word. The best part was when he was chatting with what I have to assume were "regulars" and said "It's easy now; wait a few weeks when the summer crowds come and I will be complaining about how busy I am." Ok, so you say you aren't busy, but you can only give decent service to one table? (To be clear, it definitely wasn't busy.) I worked in restaurants for years. I give 20% tips for bad service; 30% for good service. Ray got 10%, and I will bet it hurt me more than him. There's never a good reason to treat your customers like second class citizens. Too bad, because we had hoped Rustico would be another option for us to add to our dine-out list.

Went to dinner on 3/24 with my wife at 5:30. Overall dinner was fine but there were a few issues ( which I did not mention to the server, probably should have ). My wife said her burger was good but she did not get the dressing she asked for and had to go to the back of the kitchen to ask for it. I ordered the Chicken Parm which was fine but considering it was $25 it needed more flavor and more cheese. We split the apple pie ( which took 20 mins to come to the table ). It tasted good but it was overcooked ( black on the bottom) so we just picked at it. I should have asked the waiter to take it off the bill at $14.99. Overall our visit was fine but considering the bill was $116 I don't think we would return cause we just wanted to try it. Lastly I ordered the garlic knots for an app and forgot to ask the server if the knots are homemade and not store bought, again considering you get 4 knots for $10 they should be made from scratch.

Had Rustico for the 1st time in awhile. Previous visit was under the last ownership. Ordered two takeout pizzas. Went with a small cheese pizza for the kids and a small pizza with pepperoni, sausage and bacon. Thought the pizza was great overall. Great cheese coverage, good crust, toppings tasted great, good sauce. Great overall taste.

Always busy, so they have plenty of people coming in, so that's awesome for this business. However, we didn't receive the appetizer until half way through the meal and the steak tips were really tough. Many of the staff seemed confused, so maybe it was just an off night there.

One star is a gift for the dining experience that my husband and I had last night at Rustico. First, we had to ask to move our table away from the window because it was so drafty that the window valence was swaying in the breeze. It was so noisy that we couldn't carry on a normal conversation seated right across from each other at a small table. We only ordered a bottle of wine (which was good) and 2 entrees. It took a very long time for the waitress to deliver the wine. Clearly, they were short of help, so, we kept telling ourselves: it's not the server's fault. When entrees didn't arrive, we asked for some bread. They don't have bread; all that was offered was to "put in an order for garlic knots," and that would take a long time, since the kitchen was backed up. When my dinner arrived, the broccolini was cold and my husband's eggplant was very cold with coagulated cheese. Flagging the waitress down (we waited and she never came over to ask about our meals), I asked if the broccolini only could be reheated and he asked to reheat the eggplant. The waitress offered to bring him something else, but, he declined and said to just reheat the eggplant. After another long wait, my meal appeared (by this time my fries and beef were cold). My husband's meal never came. After I was almost finished my entree, the waitress came and asked if everything was ok. My husband responded that it wasn't because he didn't have his meal. She said that she didn't think he wanted anything else! That was not the conversation; possibly she didn't hear him? Before we left, the manager came over and apologized. We paid the bill for 1 entree and a bottle of wine and went home where my husband ate leftovers. Never again, especially where minimum effort was made for compensation.

Between the outstanding food and service, truthfully there are not enough stars offered for Rustico. The environment has a cozy home feel and the staff matches it! French onion soup never disappoints, pizza is on point every time and if you're an Alfredo lover- do it. Pro tip- don't go gluten free, it ruins the Chefs dish which is perfect as is. Thank you all at Rustico!- I visit frequently and always look forward to my next visit.
