“I’ve Driven by here numerous times, and my curiosity finally led me into Big Fin on Main St in Melrose center and I’m so glad it did!
From the inviting and relaxing atmosphere to the generous and healthy poke bowl selections, this restaurant exceeded all my expectations.
The standout, however, was the owner himself Lifan Wu's hands-on approach, evident in his interactions with customers. His genuine passion for his craft shines through, making the dining experience truly special and the entire staff were a mirrored reflection of his passion and leadership.

The Portion sizes at Big Fin were satisfyingly large, with fresh ingredients and impeccable presentation elevating each dish.

In conclusion, Big Fin is a must-visit spot that seamlessly combines delectable healthy cuisine, welcoming ambiance, and exceptional customer service under one roof.”

My wife and I both got a full breakfast and a side of bacon and pancakes for only 28 bucks. It would have been roughly 40+ anywhere else. Food was fantastic as well!

And the service was even better than the food if you can imagine that!

Atmosphere may not be up your alley, it's an older spot and looks like such but once you walk in you'll either smile and sit down and have a great breakfast with incredible service, or you'll miss out lol

Either way Ernie's has become me and my wife's new favorite spot for breakfast (when we're lazy lol) on weekends!”

“Was visiting MA on a work trip and stumbled upon the best Thai food ever. I genuinely love the atmosphere and food. The food is great and cooked fresh, with good portions. I had the gyoza and pad se ew. My partner had the beef w broccoli and white rice. We both enjoyed every bite! Definitely recommend and their sticky rice mango dessert looks amazing!

Vegetarian options: They have an entire section of their dishes that is redone just for vegetarians!”

“My hubby is the manager at Antons cleaners next door to liberty and when I come in with him on early days etc etc, I always- I mean ALWAYS people!- get us liberty bell for lunch. It’s the best roast beef sandwich you can find and it’s consistently made the same way so you can expect that high quality with every order honestly. Their online ordering is smooth and simple and they’re super safe upon pickup and following any and every Covid precaution there is! Colette Bakery in Melrose has some of the best pastries around! I’m a sucker for chocolate croissants, and the Cho-colette croissant at Colette is so delicious (pro tip, take the croissant home and toss in the air fryer to warm the pastry!)

“he best bakery ever! I have had everything from the cakes and cupcakes, to the quiche and chicken pot pie… and it’s ALL delicious! I highly recommend them for specialty cakes or cookies, as I feel they can do anything you want perfectly! If you like caramel delights, that is the best cupcake I’ve ever had! The cakes I’ve ordered from there are always moist, and delicious. The staff is so friendly as well! I got over 100 cookies made by them for my wedding for my seating chart and everyone raved about them! I just got my rainbow birthday cake from there and it’s sooooo cool! I highly recommend!”

“Closed on Sunday. The Curry is good, but the tomatoes are enenormoes. The pat thai is good. The chicken fingers are fried but are good. My husband has no problem trying different dishes. He's yet to be disappointed .”

“Was a little busy today, but thankfully didn't have to wait at all for my mobile order, which was nice. Staff were friendly; my vanilla sweet cream cold brew and sausage, cheddar and egg sandwich were cold/hot and tasty, albeit overpriced for something that isn't made in-house and only heated up (if you want my honest opinion).

Parking: It all depends on day of the week and time of day. This morning, I didn't have any trouble finding a spot as soon as I got there. Generally speaking, I don't have too much trouble either; there have been only a handful of times I've had to circle the block a few times or park in the lot behind the building or behind CVS on the opposite side of the street. Some park in the alley to the left of the store on either side, but I wouldn't recommend that, both because you're a knob who can or will mess up thru-traffic HD also because lately they've had someone from parking enforcement standing out there waiting for some moron to try and stop there”

“I'd been trying to find pizza I just craved since moving from Melrose to Stoneham 8 months ago. So far the leader is very good, but no delivery or open on Sunday. Then I saw a post from my favorite Petrones here and discovered that they'd deliver to me. 30 minutes later my pizza and a side of grilled chicken were on the way, ordered through the website and delivery app. A given time of 6:20 was exact! The driver came to my door like an old friend, in a clean Petrones golf shirt, even offering to bring it inside for me. Perfection! The crust was both crispy and chewy. With a unique slightly salty finish, which is delightful. Very generous toppings, well balanced across the pie. Their cheese blend is biteful yet has that long string satisfaction. I opted for alfredo over their signature red sauce and wasn't disappointed, although I'd like more garlicky taste--easily solved next time. The side of grilled & chopped chicken was very tasty and will be awesome on tomorrow's lunch salad. I was very pleased by the generous portion. I'm thrilled to have Petrones back on my speed dial. The ordering app was clunky although it did give real time updating. I think calling will be less annoying. Thanks for the great food. I knew they'd changed hands since I moved but the food quality was definitely unchanged! Yay”
