I've been going to Gene's since I was about 11, so 1981!!!! Of course, back then, it was for candy and soda, lol!! As I got older, I realized what a hidden gem it truly is! They have great subs and pretty much anything Italian. Not just the deli but stocked on the shelves as well. I don't make sauce because theirs is so good. Makes my life easier to boot! Thank you Gene's. Everyone who works there is very nice and wicked happy to help. Every time I go in, it brings back memories of walking to the pool and stopping at Gene's on our way there. I've never been disappointed or dissatisfied with anything I've gotten here! That's a lot over 42 years. Just sayin lol!

They have good food and pastry. Been going there for yrs. The Italian wedding soup is good except sometimes I think they froze it and there was barely any broth at all. Broth makes the soup. I had to add some Collage Inn that I had. That has happened alot. Prices for thier meals are a little high and meals are too small.

Great subs and deli. However, I was very disappointed with my most recent subs. I got the Italian and the steak bomb. I never got the steak bomb before, but it was just horrid. First of all, roast beef was used instead of steak. Then there were toppings added on that weren't even stated on the board! Also, they didn't ask if I wanted the bread toasted which I thought was odd. The Italian was slightly better, but it was made incorrectly. I asked for no tomatoes and still got tomatoes. I get the Italian sub often, so I know when something isn't right. It just seems like this time the person wanted to make their own version of the subs. If I were you I would stay away from the hot subs unless you're into that...
