Subs/sandwiches are great . Made to order with fresh deli ingredients. Some of their prepackaged items are a little pricey. The 4 's is because their steak and cheese was awful , deserves to be in the sub hall of shame . Stick with the cold cuts .
Awesome place!! Was my first time there. I had an "Italian Stallion" grinder & it had sausage & meatballs in it. By far some of the best tasting homemade meatballs & sausage I've ever had. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The store had alot of different things including homemade banana bread w/ chocolate chips. That was sooo good! The store is very clean & well staffed. I've been going to Gene's since I was about 11, so 1981!!!! Of course, back then, it was for candy and soda, lol!! As I got older, I realized what a hidden gem it truly is! They have great subs and pretty much anything Italian. Not just the deli but stocked on the shelves as well. I don't make sauce because theirs is so good. Makes my life easier to boot!
