Our bartender Dory suggested wonderful drinks! Dory guided us through the draft list and seasonal offerings. Definitely will be visiting The hotel Northampton Coolidge Park Cafe again!

Stopped in for a late lunch and endured a shift change but all was well. Good food, good service.

I had late night close the bar drinks here; I drank their "Smokey smoked Margarita" which was a delight. It has Del Maguey Mezcal in it and Jalapeno syrup; Just all around well balanced spicy, smoky cocktail. Although, maybe a touch too sweet? then there might be less heat, and the heat was perfection. There was only one bartender staffed and she was EXCELLENT.The next morning I had oatmeal and English muffin; The English muffin was a lot better bread than the dinner rolls in Wiggins Tavern. The oatmeal was perfect. There was only one waitress staffed, but I sat alone and she sat me next to her station; so she served me very well. This Hotel (Northampton) would be well served by bringing their food game up at least 3 levels.

The onion soup was so plain, a real disappointment. Not like it usually is.

Stayed the night. Hotel rooms were very nice and comfortable. The food on the other hand was good, couldn't eat it, flavorless. Service was just as poor. Wouldn't recommend the bar or cafe you can do better.

Let me start by saying my wife and I really enjoy an occasional summer lunch outside on the Cafe's patio. The food is usually quite good and the service is usually fine. Normally I would rate it 4 or 5 stars. But yesterday was a fiasco. We had an unusually long wait to get seated even though the restaurant wasn't even close to crowded. It seemed there were only 2 waiters for the whole place. After waiting to be seated, we had to wait even longer for a waiter to take our order. And then we waited some more. People at a table near us were waiting far, far longer than us until the same waiter came over to them and apologized that the kitchen had lost their order. Even while we were waiting to be seated we saw this poor waiter literally running around the restaurant to bring another table drinks. With that in mind, after waiting over 25 minutes for our food, we decided to leave. In the midst of all that chaos, this usually delightful place became intolerable. Of course, when I went in to say we were leaving the very flummoxed waiter told me 'but your food is just about to be plated.' We like this place so much we will return again but we will now check that there are more than 2 waitstaff working. I know staffing is serious issue in the hospitality business but seeing a waiter literally running thru a restaurant was just too much. I suspect the poor guy was new and had little training or experience. But this is a fine hotel and someone should have approached us to explain why they were having so many problems. Also, for what it's worth, we have often been served by the other waiter on staff quite professionally but he too seemed overwhelmed. It was a beautiful afternoon and we were really looking forward to a nice al fresco lunch. Too bad it didn't happen.

We stayed at Hotel Northampton which advertises on its website that the bar is open until 11 p.m. Arrived at 10:35 after a concert. Bartender refused to serve me and other concertgoers who arrived at the same time, saying the "last call" was 10 minutes earlier. I said, "you can't pour a glass of wine for a hotel guest?" No, she couldn't. Ridiculous. If the last call is at 10:25, the hotel should not advertise an 11 pm closing.

First time visiting for a meal as we're in town for a show. Menu on point with delicious food fare. Such as burgers and fries, Reuben and several seafood choices. Our waitress was exceptional professional and courteous in service including dessert recommendations. That might have been the best part. Nice people!

If I could give it minus stars, I would. We ate there this morning and my wife is deathly ill. Contemplating an ER visit. We know it is from this restaurant. No other explanation. The staff sucked as did the food. Do not eat here. The host said they were closed until lunch so we missed breakfast, by 10 minutes! When we were seated for lunch, our food was literally nasty - like yesterday's microwaved leftovers!

My friend and I recently enjoyed a great outing to the town with a stop at the spring flower show at Smith College and a always popular visit to the Thorne Marketplace and the ten thousand villages shop on Main Street. All were superb. We wanted to have a nice lunch and the Coolidge Park Cafe was a great choice. Emily, our server, was very efficient and pleasant. A delight. I ordered the salmon BLT and my friend had a sandwich that was similar to a turkey club. We both commented on the fresh ingredients and the nice cloth napkins. Both sandwiches came with sides. I had a side salad, good portion, and my friend had excellent fries. The cafe was packed when we first arrived, but we only had a short wait. The cafe is an very easy walk from downtown.
