My experience definitely could have been better. Stopped in almost 2 hours before a show across the street and barely finished in time to catch the first song. The place was busy and all visible employees were overwhelmed. The host was pulling double duty as a busperson and the servers had very large sections to tend to. As someone who has managed restaurants, I put the blame on whomever was supposed to be managing that night. A manager should have been out there, on the floor, supporting the waitstaff instead of hiding out in the office/kitchen. Being located across from a theater, this place is bound to be busy and the owner/management definitely failed to have adequate staff on hand to deal with the heavy traffic.

Taco Tuesday is always the right thing to do, along with an El Espolon margarita made by Emma!

I am not one to write reviews, but I am upset by this restaurant which made a family member sick. We got to the restaurant and there was one waiter working for the entire restaurant. He apologized for the excessive wait before coming to our table, which was not in his control and understandable given the short staff. My family member has celiac disease and told the waiter about her allergies and asked if the item she was ordering was gluten free, and the waiter confirmed it was. We then tried to order an appetizer which they did not have. When the food arrived, I received the wrong menu dish and we had to remind the waiter multiple times about our drinks and appetizer which was simply chips and salsa. The food was fine, however my family member has been sick for hours because the food she was given contained gluten. So many things wrong from start to end and then negligence led to my family member getting violently ill to the point where she may have to seek medical treatment.

Bring the old menu back! Used to love this place now small menu steak had a strong smell and hubby could not eat it. Soda is horrible! Flat and watery tried coke and sprite changed a few times still not good. They were known for their fried is cream and no longer a thing! The bathroom was a night mare i always knew them to be super clean makes me question the kitchen!Ugh .rip to our favorite place?Ps now overpriced as well

The food was awful, chicken, steak, shrimp for the tacos were super dry. The service was not great either, no drink refills, never asked how the food was. Over all I would give this place 0 stars. but thats not an option. I took ny gf here for our 1 year anniversary....what a joke.

It had been a couple of years, and I wasn't sure if the restaurant had changed hands. No, they are reorganizing, and also working on their website. I went for a burrito bowl, which was prepared at a buffet table at the back of the dining area by a chef who adds plenty of extras according to your orders. I was especially glad to see a healthy serving of guacamole included. Fast service (6:30 PM, Tuesday). There are more offerings on the weekend then during the week. The bar doesn't seem to have changed.

Geez, what happened to this place? We were excited to see Mama Iguana's reopen after several months closed during the height of the pandemic. We went at 6pm on a beautiful Saturday and it was empty, which is never a good sign. We were sat at a dirty table and given menus that were completely different than their old menu, which they still have on their website. The new menus have far fewer options and everything is at least $3 more expensive than the same items on the old menu. We'd been planning to stay for dinner, but this was disappointing enough that we decided to just get chips and salsa (for $6??) and drinks. I got a Corona, which was warm, and my partner got a house margarita, which had a really weird coconut/vanilla aftertaste. Overall it was a truly shoddy experience and we got out of there as fast as we could so we could get actual food somewhere else. In 2019, Mama Iguana's was packed in the evenings, but now it's a sad shadow of its former self. The waitstaff were perfectly nice--none of this is their fault. But whoever is running the restaurant now...whew.

My husband and I had not been here in a few years and decided to make a trip out to enjoy. It was a beautiful day and we decided to sit outside and enjoy some sunshine. We ordered three tacos each which were really really good. Probably the best, was the Aji tuna taco. My complaints are that you have to pay for chips and salsa. Most other Mexican food places you don't. My other complaint was the service. I understand many places are short staffed now but it didn't appear that that was the case. They never brought out our second beer and the waitress didn't even apologize for her oversight. They were slow to bring our food out as well And we had to ask for our check to be brought out. Yes the food is good, the margarita is good, but the service was not.
