I don't know if it's just me, or if bubble tea has been exploding in popularity in the past couple of years. I mean, you have a Gong Cha separated from Kung Fu Tea by one door! Competition must be fierce, unless it's a Dunkin' vs. Starbucks sort of rivalry... but, I digress. Anyway, a Yelp event at a different Gong Cha reminded me that there is a location nearer to me. Awesome! Today was finally time to give it a try. I ordered a Pearl Milk Tea, light ice, 50% sugar. The drink was okay. It had the right level of sweetness, however, I think the ice was minimal - as any that was added dissolved inside of five minutes, and this was on a 70° day (not 90°+). Sugar, ice, and everything nice aside, let's talk flavors: To me, the tea flavors got lost in there somewhere. I wouldn't go as far as to call it weak or watered down, but I definitely would have liked just a little more oomph. Finally, while the wait didn't end up being too bad, one person was running the whole show: taking orders/payment, and making drinks and food. I understand that things sometimes happen, yet, it's a matter of luck that there wasn't a large crowd gathered waiting for their drinks & food. Thus, with no shortage of great Boba Tea places around, I think I will stick to KFP and Tbaar. These places, in my opinion, have more pronounced tea flavors, and more adequate staffing (at least based on this experience).

Gong Cha stands out among the myriad milk tea establishments for its unwavering consistency. Amidst the diverse array of boba cafes in Quincy, it remains my preferred destination. Their opening just a few years ago on Hancock St. brought me immense joy. Each visit reaffirms my admiration, thanks to the consistently friendly and efficient staff. Furthermore, their occasional introduction of new flavors and specialty beverages adds an element of excitement. What truly sets Gong Cha apart, however, is the impeccable texture of their tapioca pearls—neither too firm nor too soft. The secret behind their flawless preparation remains a mystery to me, yet it's the sole reason I exclusively opt for toppings in my drinks from their establishment.

Love it! This is our favorite bubble tea spot in town by far. Their offerings are interesting, delicious, and not as sweet as many others.

Gong Cha is definitely one of the most well-known boba chains out there. I visited this location during the BOGO promotion over the summer and found the quality to be consistent with that of other Gong Chas that I have gone to. This location has a few high tops inside and was relatively clean. Our drinks came out in less than ten minutes, but it was also empty at the time that we went. The pearl milk tea has a nice balance of tea and milk, which I like. I feel like the boba could be improved, though, as it does not have much flavor. There is street parking, but sometimes it can be hard to find parking since there are a lot of food spots on this street.

My experience at this location is usually pretty good. But this time I’m livid, I just walked out and I’m vexed at the lack of customer service I received. I got a $5 off coupon and even after showing the girl at the cash register she said she don’t know and can’t do anything about it. Okay, it’s whatever. But what ticked me off is that I asked for a cup of water with lemon for my wife who is pregnant and need to watch her sugar level. Instead of the girl telling me they don’t have lemon and asking if water is okay, she just put lemon syrup into the water and give that to us. My wife tried it, and when I brought it up she said we have no lemon. No apologies, no offer of just a cup of water. They need to train their staff better.

This review is not related to the drinks but to a specific cashier. I believe his name was Wei Ji. He had the worst attitude - super rude, talked over you, rushed you (the place is empty) and didn't bother to explain anything. Instead his words were "nevermind, whatever".

Public restrooms are for customer use only. I use a $1 off Veteran's Day on any hot drink. Near Wollaston station.

This tea specialty place seizes to amaze me. They have Halloween themed teas.Red Blood Taro tea was my favorite so red and tasted like a blend a Strawberry and taro blended frozen tea.Now tonight I tried another tea called Chocolate Horror Delight, which tastes like a whole lot of chocolate and blended with whipped cream not sure if that's how they make it, but it's a really great surprise when you have the first sip! I just love this place the crew makes you feel so special I really enjoy going into this really cutesy place. They also make a peach blended tea with chucks of boba. You know why the straw is so big and wide to let all the yummy goodness fit through.Weiqi is a creative woman you just never know what they have for the season and it's fun to try something new.Love it there.

The strawberry matcha latte is disgusting! Looks nothing like their advertised photo. I thought they made a mistake until I read the label on the cup. It was supposed to be green and pink. What I got was black, whole cup, and unbearably sweet. Gross!
