“I ordered takeout off of grubhub to use a coupon that I had. Problem was, it was Memorial Day. Grubhub showed them as open so I placed the order for a chicken katsu bento box. I get to the place and it's dark inside, but has a doorbell saying to ring for pickup.I do so, and after a minute the owner (Dwayne) comes out and says he's closed. I show him my receipt and he goes in the back to the ticket printer and comes back out and says grubhub says he's open but he's only working a half day. I expect him to tell me to cancel the order but he says he'll make the food but it'll take a few minutes. I say ok and thank him.Maybe 10 minutes go by and he comes out and apologizes for the time mixup (as if I'm not the annoying customer ordering food on a holiday!). The food was great! Bento box was full of a few different items including chicken curry katsu, rice, steamed veggies, California rolls, and shumai and mini vegetable rolls.Really great price and food and I can't thank Dwayne enough for making the food anyway even though I told him I'd just cancel the order. Definitely will be ordering again but on a non-holiday!“

“Omori hits again. I frequented the location in Brookline when I lived in the city. Now that I’m outside the city, I was so pleased to see Omori had another location. Service is friendly and efficient. The food is incredible too! Highly recommend any of the yakitori!“

“We thoroughly enjoyed our Valentines Day dinner. We split the Filet and Shrimp combination which was plenty filling for us seniors with no leftovers. The fried rice and Gyoza were exceptional! Yummy-yum! We may go back just for those items alone. We would highly recommend Fuji Steakhouse for any occasion.“

“My favorite hand roll place. Overall great food and speedy service. The handrolls are super fresh and come out quickly so everything stays fresh and flavorful. We ordered salmon mango, foe grais, miso butter cod and spicy scallops and all of them are really good. Highly recommend the spicy scallops. Our server Stelle are friendly, efficient, and keep things moving without rushing you. Easy spot for a really satisfying meal.“

“The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice, but the waitress with red hair, who wasn't Asian and was wearing a Harley Davidson bomber jacket, was very rude. She had a judgmental and unhelpful attitude while we were choosing our meals. She suddenly brought the check even though we didn't ask for it, as if she wanted us to leave.“

Our server, Amanda, was wonderful friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. It’s service like hers that really adds to the experience. Jose, the owner, has truly outdone himself with this place. You can tell he takes great pride in what he’s built from the quality of the dishes to the amazing team that brings it all together. We’ll definitely be back again before the new location opens, and we’re looking forward to visiting that one as well. “Don’t be fooled by the somewhat outdated interior and hole in the wall feel. The focus here is on the food!

Good quality fish, creative rolls, and efficient service. The price-to-value ratio can’t be beat. Tastes that much better with the reasonable prices. Note that you can tell the fish is not top-notch quality, but it hits all the right notes for an everyday sushi craving. Some rolls are more outstanding than others. My favorite so far was one that incorporated crunchy tempura bits into the minced tuna topping (forgot the name!).

We loved our recent visits so much that we’re getting platters from here for a holiday party. I’m pretty sure they’re going to be a hit.“

“Hungry after a delayed flight, my nine-year-old daughter and I walked to One Bite & Bar simply because it's close to our Airbnb, we wanted something fresh, and it maintains a good Yelp rating. It didn't disappoint.

The space is one large room with excellent service. To feed us both, we ordered the California, shrimp tempura, and mango avocado sushi. We also got the seaweed salad, miso soup, and egg drop soup. Everything was good and full of flavor.

“The “cactus” (made of beef) burger was easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also enjoyed the scallop / shrimp ceviche, though on the smaller side it still satisfied and has a delicious citrusy aftertaste. Drinks were amazing and served by the friendliest bartender, Miranda. Boston sorely needed a spot like this and at 500 Boylston it’s helping bring back the area. Can’t wait to visit again and try the remaining menu items. Great upscale atmosphere.“

“Amazing time celebrating a birthday, the staff were all so kind and welcoming, wrote a little happy birthday note, gave us a “birthday cake” of tuna on rice, and made our experience a great one! The fish is the best I’ve had in Boston and I will 100% be coming back - the prices really aren’t bad for the quality of fish you’re getting and if you space it out and listen to recommendations of your server you will leave full and happy! The only thing to note is downstairs it was very very quiet which I think is a nice ambiance for the sushi bar but also could hear other peoples conversations, so maybe turning the music up a little bit downstairs! My phone was at 1% and they let me charge my phone while I waited. I saw a homeless person approach the counter with only $5. They gave him a meal that was definitely more than $5.“

I ate at several two and three star Michelin restaurants last summer in France and I was happier with my dining experience at Umami. Admittedly, I haven't been to Avana Sushi 1, but this second iteration probably has nothing to envy it. The food was fresh and the order came out quick. I ordered some Cali and salmon rolls, with seaweed salad and Gyoza, all neatly presented, for a solid lunch.

Service was great - they're quick and attentive even when things get busy. Can recommend.“

“My favorite thing about this restaurant is the fact that BEEF sushi is served. As someone who doesn't like seafood, it's great to be able to enjoy eating here with friends who do. All of the beef options are delicious and it's fun being able to look for it on the revolving track. Their desserts are also delicious (though few), and the servers are all very friendly. It's very easy to not overeat here and to be able to decide how much you're going to spend.“
