“We went to The Baker for the first time after a friend highly recommended it and it was AMAZING! “Cape Cod Coffee is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. The staff is amazing and goes above and beyond to make sure that you are well taken care of. Granted, it was not a large amount, but it’s a little rude to just assume they can keep the change without asking if I’d like it back…I needed to get to work and didn’t want to hold up the line so I left rather than sit there and try to get her attention. This is the second time this has happened to me at this location, the first time was only a few cents so I didn’t really mind but this time it was a larger amount…it doesn’t really matter what the amount is, it’s still my money until I give you permission to keep it. “My girlfriend and myself stopped in at Starbucks before we went over to Target ? to look at the Halloween ? decorations. We stopped there for the convenience and also because I could follow my dietary restrictions (just having weight loss surgery a month ago) by having one of the egg bites your establishment sells. The egg bites are my favorite thing there and don't make me sick. The woman at the counter was super accommodating even though it was less than an hour before close and she was alone, she dropped everything to help us. As someone who has worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry I can really appreciate and admire that. I know how hard that is when you're trying to get the heck out of work. My girlfriend had the coffee cake and the girl asked if she wanted it heated up. She said it was amazing. We also had the frozen passion fruit pineapple tea. So good! Totally recommend! We gave her a nice tip because we know it's hard to deal with the public and she was wearing a mask and that made us feel safer too. The people she had after us were so damn rude. So I hope this review gets to her and that she knows she's appreciated! She's a great employee and I hope that as her boss, you appreciate her too.“

“When my husband and I first moved to New Bedford, Beira Mar Bakery was strictly a Portuguese bakery. Now it seems that the new owner is Brazilian and is beginning to introduce Brazilian pastries into the case! Tried a couple of things and am excited to see how the menu grows. I look forward to trying their pão francês (you can order ahead via WhatsApp) and just really happy there is finally a brazilian bakery in New Bedford!“
