Went here once and I really enjoyed it, I'll actually be back! Just wanted to stop in somewhere and get a drink or two, going out is kind of new for me. Sat at the bar, ended up getting a drink called Starry Night (cmon can you blame me! the name is beautiful!), Blue Velvet, and some type of beer that tasted like grapefruit drink that was ordered for me. Blue Velvet was my favorite :) it's in the photo. The bartender was just as sweet as the drink and even shared how the foam was made. All around it was a great time in Salem and it definitely made walking around Salem slightly more fun after getting my buzz on lol

Absolutely loved everything about the Gulu . The alt/bohemian ambiance was choice and the food was delicious. My server PJ went out of his way to help us and was funny and charming and made great recommendations. I had the What a Funghi grilled portabella sandwich on delicious gluten free bread and a blue cheese apple and walnut salad with balsamic dressing who’s clever name escapes me. My husband enjoyed the max and cheese and I loved my simply divine cocktail the Maleficent, an absinthe cocktail with witchy purple flowers on top. If you like Seattle Grunge era vibes with a slightly more upscale aesthetic, this should be your place.Dietary restrictions: They have an entire gluten free menu!

Nestled in the heart of Salem, Gulu-Gulu Café can be very busy during the weekends. If you already are hungry, this is not the place. The menu got a lot of options, from artisanal coffee drinks to savory sandwiches and desserts. There is a special gluten free menu and a some vegetarian options. Also a cocktails and beer menu. The café's vibrant atmosphere is complemented by live music performances and art exhibitions, adding to its appeal as a cultural hub in the community.

Good and coffee were good. Gets busy and you might end up waiting for service. Cute vibes & gender neutral bathrooms.
