“One of my all time favorite spots in Somerville never had a bad meal. Great vibe and service always suggests it as one of the top spots in Somerville.”
“Delicious and safe dining experience- the food was unbelievably fresh and creative. All servers went out of their way to be attentive and friendly- the mulled wine was the perfect beverage on this chilly afternoon! We brought blankets- and used them!”

“Popular place that needs reservation in advance (likely because the shop is somewhat small). The staff was extremely friendly and kind, offering a sake drink as a start on the house. The golden dragon (?) flower sake was amazing.
However, the shop interior felt a bit decrepit - my stool was rocking back and forth. The egg noodles were well cooked but overall alright. $35 per person with appetizers.”
“Love the vibe! Great place to just get a drink, or eat to your heart's content. I have been holding Twisted Networking- Somerville, MA for a while in the side room- awesome! #askjo”

“The staff, service and food were all exceptional. The atmosphere is relaxing and the menu is very interesting, especially the cocktail menu. The presentation of the food is impeccable and the staff is very attentive, making sure the water is filled and that the check is ready when we were finished. A perfect balance and what every restaurant should strive to mimic. A must try if you want to find a place that is unique. Thanks to the staff for a fun evening.”
“I happen to be working in the area the day I stopped in for a bite. Little did I know this was going to be become my go to spot for the foreseeable future. Not only is the food awesome, the service was great and it was so clean you could eat off the floor. You can tell whoever owns it, truly loves what they do.”
“I started going here in 2020 and slowly became obsessed. Best bakery and cafe in Somerville. The vibes of the staff are phenomenal but additionally the food and tea are to die for. I always get the London fog with vanilla and the vegan egg cheddar sandwich. Don’t forget to try to banana tajin muffin!!”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Highly recommend if you’re nearby or want a real deal place 😋😋😋”

“Super great staff and very knowledgeable in their dishes! Mahalo!!”
“This was my Daughter's birthday weekend and we wanted to Take her to one of the places that Guy Fieri Visited for DDD...making memories. What we got was so much more. Truthfully the Best dining experience we have EVER experienced. The hostess was super friendly and immediately made accommodations due to the fact that I am currently in a wheelchair. The atmosphere was astonishing!!! The food...we truly cannot say enough good things about an are planning when to take the trip from Vermont again to get more. We were blown away . However the highlight of our evening hands down was our Server Kevin!!! He made my Daughter's night ...focused on making her smile and gave her a piece of cheesecake to celebrate. We will remember this forever and simply cannot thank you enough”

“Came for one drink and ended up having dinner here because of the atmosphere. The bartenders were so down to earth and the esthetics were Instagram worthy! The food was great, we had the skewers and calamari for dinner the lobster raviolis 10/10.
Recommend for a nice Friday night out. Drinks I had the espresso martini but the sangria was the special of the week! 👌🏾👌🏾”
“My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at Juliet for breakfast this morning! Jamie was our server, they were fantastic - super knowledgeable about allergies (highly recommend anyone with celiac disease like me or a gluten sensitivity come here, almost the entire menu can be made gluten free!!) so I felt very safe eating here, and they even surprised us with a free pastry since it was our first time at Juliet. We were taken care of so well, and the food was absolutely delicious! The ambiance is fantastic as well, really great decor and the whole space felt very clean and bright. We will definitely be back!”
“José and his crew always serve beautiful, fresh, delicious sushi with innovative flair! The newly designed space is stylish and comfortable.”

“Possibly the best meal I’ve had in the Cambridge area. The lomo saltado was the star of the show—woooow. The ceviche was bright, fresh, wonderfully presented. The drinks were terrific. We’re already plotting our next visit.”

“I come here once a week w/ my roommate. We are obsessed. On the edge of my seat waiting to learn about the new jam and muffin of the month. I’ve got my mom who lives out of state ordering muffins monthly. People are tired of hearing me talk about how great this place is!”
“Tried the chicken gyro at Opa Greek Gyro and really enjoyed it! The meat was flavorful and tender, and everything tasted fresh. Portion size was just right, and the pita was soft and warm. Definitely a solid spot if you’re craving a good gyro. Will be coming back to try more from the menu!”
“This was the best night out I’ve had with my husband in a long time. The food was spectacular- I suggest the mezze platter so you can try everything, and of course the koshari. The mushroom fritters they had as a special were divine. The atmosphere and quality of service were top-notch and we will absolutely be coming here regularly.”

“The most delicious pastries ever. If you love pistachio the way I do you will have trouble choosing and it is ALL great. But I particularly love the savories. The Palestinian bread and the flatbread with the green topping (forget what it's called) is a family favorite. We adore these; the flatbreads are a great quick lunch. But so so delicious, fresh, we are so fortunate to have you here!”
“We just moved to the neighborhood and we are obsessed.
The sandwiches are like no other sandwiches. The focaccia is home made. The ingredients are fresh, seasonal and locally sourced. It’s not just a sandwich, it’s sandwich art!
There are some rules, such as no eating inside, but they enhance the experience: Davis Sq. is a delightful place to eat outside.
We have yet to eat every item on the menu, but nothing has disappointed so far. Excellent coffee and kombucha are also on offer.”
“Hands down best bar in Boston. It's this generation version of cheers. Amazing to watch any game in and if you're not a Pat's even better. Although I miss the OG huevos rancheros the food is always on point and I've never had a bad meal there. I bike from beacon Hill where I'm surrounded by bars but theres only one I'd go out of my way to catch a game or grab brunch. It's parlor sports. I'll fight anyone that says otherwise to the above.”
“I love the concept of having a rotating menu featuring local chefs; what a great way to highlight different cuisines! As a Filipino, I love to see some pinoy representation, so I came for lunch on Wednesday and got the pancit with lumpia and a calamansi drink. The drink was very refreshing, and the food was delicious! I especially loved the lumpia, it was so crispy and cooked perfectly. Pancit was also very good. The staff was super nice as well. I'm very glad I came and hope to visit again in the future 🇵🇭 Sarap!”
“5 out of 5 stars for Josephine! Dined on a Sunday evening around 6pm without a reservation. Both the food and our server were great and I love that they have martinis on draft. We ordered a chicken Caesar salad, sausage rigatoni, and hot honey/pepperoni pizza. The salad was chilled and crisp, perfect for a hot day and the rigatoni and pizza were both delicious and substantial portions. Looking forward to going back!”
“I love that they have a combo option where you can get Jjajangmyun & Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour fried pork), and the Tangsuyuk was on point. Very crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Jjambbong was also pretty good and the bowl is really huge. The price is really good compared to the amount of food they give you, and the combo comes at the perfect portion for one person (although it was enough for me to share as well). The Jjajangmyun was good but could use more flavor. Overall, I loved this place and would definitely go again.
Note: you need to ask for a parking permit paper (which the workers will give to you if you ask) to park at the lot behind the restaurant.”
“Outstanding Indian food, we are so lucky to have Masala in Union Square.”
“Love assembly row…this is a fantastic, yummy and fun addition! Great ambiance… staff is friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend! :)”
Cheap Eats
“For years, I breezed past this spot, assuming it was just and old convenience store. Little did I know, I was missing out on some good sandwich deals. A few months back, I discovered they were slinging subs, so I stopped by a couple times to grab some cold subs.
P&K has been a neighborhood fixture for over seven decades, and you can feel that old-school charm the moment you meet the owner. He’s the kind of guy who’s always friendly and never skimps on the toppings—generosity is clearly baked into the business. While the sandwiches aren’t quite the size of Al’s famous subs, they still pack great value, and honestly, they’re hefty enough that I rarely manage to finish one for breakfast. My favorites so far were the seafood salad and the classic Italian sandwich.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for no-frills, classic Italian subs. Just keep in mind that the hot subs aren’t usually available until after 10am.”
“I love When Pigs Fly bread! My favs are the Oat and Honey, 6 Grain and Pumpkin Seed, and basically any of the sweet breads! The English Muffin loaf is good too.
The staff are all super kind and helpful. I saw some negative reviews on here that find fault with the service, and to them I say: hello? Are you okay? If you can’t get through a bread order (which should be a simple, short interaction I’d say??) without beefing with a staff member, I invite you to consider that *you* might be the problem. :)”
“I see this is a chain (?) so I’ll mention I went to the one on Highland in Somerville. I had the adobado con platano and it was so yummy I’m certainly coming back. This is a greasy spoon atmosphere and they clearly weren’t used to getting questions about the ingredients, but they dish out some amazing food.”
“We usually order from a different Shawarma place in Somerville, but decided to give Sam's a try. The food was very good, and in good sized portions. They were good about following requests to leave things out of the wraps. Note that they do the style with fries on the side rather than in the wrap. My only complaint is that they list some, but not all, of the ingredients on their site. So if you have things you can't eat, I definitely recommend calling them to double check. My partner can't do creamy sauces, and they listed tahini sauce but not garlic sauce in the lamb/beef shawarma, which ended up being a problem. Not a huge thing, just annoying that they make it look like everything is listed when it isn't.”
“Thank you so much Didi my sister bought me momos fried chawmine and thuppa from your store today. It has been so so long that I didn’t Have foods from you. Omg I ate too much and couldn’t resist 🙄You always remind me Nepal every time I eat your food. I just want to say thank you very much for such a authentic great Nepali foods. You and your foods are always awesome. I highly highly and highly recommend this place if you wanna taste real Nepali foods 🇳🇵”

“This place is unique in that it is one of few spots in town where one can order espresso drinks in the evening and sit and hang out. (And this includes espresso martinis!!!) However, lately the espresso machine has been shut off at 7pm, so be sure to place your order well before then.”

“Definitely some of the freshest and tastiest seafood and innovative sushi and asian food I've had in a while, very fresh and tasty!”
“We are in Cambridge for a few nights and found Dali being a restaurant nearby. It turned out to be an unexpected surprise. Luckily we made reservation as the restaurant was packed. The menu was extensive; the service was friendly; the meal was served quickly and delicious and the atmosphere was great. We ordered 4 tapas plus an order of focaccia and a bottle of wine. All come to less than $100 not including tips. A must try in Cambridge, MA.”

“Utterly delicious! Got a spicy beef bowl and it fixed me. I was meeting some friends and didn't have time to research any gluten free options in the area. Took a chance on this place and the hostess was very considerate of my dietary needs. Will definitely order again in the future!”

“I had a great night out at Earls. May, our server, and Charlie, a manager, provided us an excellent dining experience. The appetizers were great, the wagyu sushi specifically was a unanimous favorite. I really enjoyed my southwest avocado chicken salad which they kindly made with blackened chicken instead of the grilled chicken upon request. For dessert they brought us a tasty cheesecake. Overall a great night. Thank you to everyone on the Earl's staff for a lovely evening.”
“I've been to this restaurant a lot—probably 20+ times—and usually love it. Even when I come alone and sit at the bar, it's always a good experience. But tonight was really disappointing. We had a 5:00 reservation on Saturday. Showed up on time, left around 6:15. At first, things were fine—our server brought water, then two canned beers (no glasses), then came back with glasses and took our food order (a chowder and two appetizers). After that, he just disappeared. The restaurant wasn't busy at all—plenty of staff were standing around chatting—so it didn't feel like he was too busy, more like he just forgot about us. By 5:30 our waters were empty, we wanted another round of beers, and the table needed clearing. But there was no way to get help. I even thought about calling the front desk to ask for our server, which is pretty ridiculous. By 6:00 the place started filling up, and our server finally reappeared. We ordered one more beer but skipped more food since we had already waited too long, and then just asked for the check. To be fair, he was nice and polite, so I don't think he's a bad server overall—but the service tonight was really bad. The restaurant itself is still good, and I'll be back—just hoping next time goes better.”
“I have been to Ruth's Chris many times and tonight they showed up very well. From the Host Scott, to Vanecia (sp) our server, everything was executed in supreme fashion. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and I could not have enjoyed our 20th Anniversary any better than our dinner at Ruth's Chris!”

“Our 1st dining here, we had chicken quarters & chicken wrap with mile spiciest. We both enjoyed them & definitely will be back. We took other reviewer suggestion to try mild & you can always add more hot sauce.”
“Exceeded every expectation, delivering an unforgettable dining experience that felt like a journey to paradise. From the very first bite, it was clear that each dish was crafted with utmost care and attention to flavor, balance, and presentation. Every plate was a celebration of fresh, bold flavors that left me savoring each moment. The drinks? Pure artistry! Perfectly mixed, refreshing, and thoughtfully paired to bring out the best in every dish.
And the desserts… they were simply sublime, the ideal finish to an extraordinary meal. I can’t overstate how impressive the ambiance was, transporting and beautifully curated to complete the experience. Tulum is more than just a meal—it’s a must-visit destination for anyone craving excellence. Five stars just don’t seem enough!”
