“Fig is the best! Their takeout window basically got me through the pandemic, and I feel very lucky that this is my local. As a certified scone-hater, their blueberry scone is the best I've ever had. I recommend their lattes, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches (the cheddar cheese is SHARP), and chia pudding. Their lunch sandwiches are also great. 10/10 for staff, vibes, food, and coffee.”

“This was our second time dining at Ebi Sushi, and just like our first visit, everything was fantastic. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared every time. Our server, Amanda, was wonderful friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. It’s service like hers that really adds to the experience. Jose, the owner, has truly outdone himself with this place. You can tell he takes great pride in what he’s built from the quality of the dishes to the amazing team that brings it all together. We’ll definitely be back again before the new location opens, and we’re looking forward to visiting that one as well. Ebi Sushi has become one of our favorite date night spots consistently great food, great people, and a great vibe. 🍣❤️”

She took the time to walk us through the menu, gave great recommendations based on what we were in the mood for, and checked in just the right amount - never too much, never too little. Even when the restaurant got busy, Milli stayed calm, kept a smile on her face, and made sure our drinks were always topped up and our food came out perfectly timed. “We always get the same thing when we go to Burger King you asked why the same thing it's because I always taste exactly the same every time and it's delicious we get a Whopper Junior with just lettuce tomato pickles and onion no condiments and it's spectacular and the fries are always hot you cannot ask for a better yummy meal.”

“This was my Daughter's birthday weekend and we wanted to Take her to one of the places that Guy Fieri Visited for DDD...making memories. What we got was so much more. Truthfully the Best dining experience we have EVER experienced. The hostess was super friendly and immediately made accommodations due to the fact that I am currently in a wheelchair. The atmosphere was astonishing!!! The food...we truly cannot say enough good things about an are planning when to take the trip from Vermont again to get more. We were blown away . However the highlight of our evening hands down was our Server Kevin!!! He made my Daughter's night ...focused on making her smile and gave her a piece of cheesecake to celebrate. We will remember this forever and simply cannot thank you enough”

“This review is based off the cafe portion of Remnant. I started going to Remnant bc Union Square Donuts on the other side had gotten rid of or lost all my favorite peeps (didn't really feel like supporting anymore).

I remember I had seen Remnant served coffee, so my pup and I meandered on over to grab my quad shot Americano and maybe sit in the beer garden. Then I found out my buddy could actually sit inside with me while we stole some of their AC. Then I found out they have wifi and outlets and I could get some work done as well!

(Laptops not permitted Friday-Saturday after 6pm).

The peeps that work there are great and efficient. They move quick even with longer lines and even when they start serving beers and cocktails AND coffee at the same time. They have restrooms in the back that are unisex along with a water station. You can't take your beer into Bow's patio area, but they have the beer garden in the back and a few tables littered right in front of their entrance. You can order food from any of the nearby restaurants and bring it in with you. You cannot order food from a nearby restaurant and use their space simply to post up and eat without ordering something from them - be cool people - don't take up space if you aren't supporting them in some way.

There's so many regulars that you'll get to know a few people if you go often enough. Everyone's super friendly. My dog gets bored as soon as I pull out my laptop to work, but he's made plenty of friends there too, so he still gets excited and pulls me to their doors whenever we're in Bow.

I love their espresso (and I'm picky) and I don't usually do iced tea, but their blood orange hibiscus iced tea is amazing, esp on a hot day. Interested in trying their margaritas at some point.”

“For years, I breezed past this spot, assuming it was just and old convenience store. Little did I know, I was missing out on some good sandwich deals. A few months back, I discovered they were slinging subs, so I stopped by a couple times to grab some cold subs.

P&K has been a neighborhood fixture for over seven decades, and you can feel that old-school charm the moment you meet the owner. He’s the kind of guy who’s always friendly and never skimps on the toppings—generosity is clearly baked into the business. While the sandwiches aren’t quite the size of Al’s famous subs, they still pack great value, and honestly, they’re hefty enough that I rarely manage to finish one for breakfast. My favorites so far were the seafood salad and the classic Italian sandwich.

Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for no-frills, classic Italian subs. Just keep in mind that the hot subs aren’t usually available until after 10am.”

“Hands down best bar in Boston. It's this generation version of cheers. Amazing to watch any game in and if you're not a Pat's even better. Although I miss the OG huevos rancheros the food is always on point and I've never had a bad meal there. I bike from beacon Hill where I'm surrounded by bars but theres only one I'd go out of my way to catch a game or grab brunch. It's parlor sports. I'll fight anyone that says otherwise to the above.”

The customer service at the location in Malden was excellent, our waitress was so polite, personable, and the right amount of attentive. I love everything that I buy from them and if I can’t make it to Somerville I buy it at Joe Pace in Saugus or Buckalews in Melrose. “We usually order from a different Shawarma place in Somerville, but decided to give Sam's a try. The food was very good, and in good sized portions. They were good about following requests to leave things out of the wraps. Note that they do the style with fries on the side rather than in the wrap. My only complaint is that they list some, but not all, of the ingredients on their site. So if you have things you can't eat, I definitely recommend calling them to double check. My partner can't do creamy sauces, and they listed tahini sauce but not garlic sauce in the lamb/beef shawarma, which ended up being a problem. Not a huge thing, just annoying that they make it look like everything is listed when it isn't.”

Overall, I really enjoyed the food. We did have to wait quite a while for our meals, but since we ordered steaks, I found the wait understandable and acceptable.

One thing I truly appreciated was that we were seated at what felt like one of the best tables in the restaurant. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit.

The only downside was the music. The volume was quite loud, and while it started with softer background music, it would occasionally switch to much more energetic songs at a higher volume. Because of that, it was difficult to have a comfortable conversation at the table.

We were actually enjoying our meal and would have liked to stay longer, but the noise level ultimately led us to leave sooner than planned. Aside from that, we were very satisfied with the experience, especially the food, atmosphere, and service”

Tall Order: The same drink as the shop's name, a very beautiful one, like a crystal-clear sprite in the dark. It has the clean and mild sweetness of a three-star Presson rum, the bright acidity of a ten-year Madeira, and the crispness of pineapple peel and lime—overall very refreshing. It also has clarified coconut milk added, but the effect is rather subtle.”

The fig was real. The goat cheese was real. It just was so natural tasting. We also really enjoyed talking with the “man behind the counter.” He said he was a cousin of the owner. He was super knowledgeable and informed us about the ice cream workshops and about how people from near and far came for the nut free ice cream options. I would really like the decor and the interior of the store to match the richness and decadence of the ice cream itself. The look of the store does not quite match the awesomeness of the ice cream. Please try this ice cream… it is so good! Some of the best ice cream I have ever had!”

The French toast was definitely a standout. The texture was incredible, soft and fluffy on the inside with just the right finish on the outside. Every bite had so much flavor, and you could really taste the quality and thought that went into it.

What impressed me most about Komugi is how intentional everything feels. The flavors, textures, presentation, and small details all come together perfectly. Definitely a bakery worth visiting, and I’ll absolutely be coming back!”

“Some of the best food we’ve had in a long time. We ordered both the spicy and non-spicy boneless wings, and they were perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful and not greasy at all. The pickled radish was delicious, and the vegetable dumplings were light with a wonderful kimchi-forward flavor. Every dipping sauce was so good that we finished all of it.

K-Bok deserves to be busy. If you’re in Somerville—or looking for Korean fried chicken that is genuinely worth the trip—please give this local, family-owned restaurant a try.”

“How many fluid ounces go into each of those fantastic smoothies? This now rhetorical question, which I had hoped to get answered here by the owner, chances to be readily answered: a tall 24 ounces. Small wonder it took me a while to down my own smoothie, avocolada, which I unwittingly carried to the perfect table at which to drank it down: a large graphic of a partly peeled avocado hanging over my chair. Awesome pricing and service, mellow background music, the works!”

“Public Tavern is a great spot to grab drinks and watch your favorite game. We usually go for Trivia Thursdays, which are always a fun time, and the $3 appetizer deal is a nice bonus. The mozzarella sticks are surprisingly good and definitely worth ordering.

It can get busy, and with usually only two bartenders managing the crowd, service can feel a little slow at times. That said, the staff handles the rush as best as they can.

Seating can also be a challenge. There often are not enough chairs, and if you arrive late to an event, you will likely be standing since someone else will have already taken the available seats.

The cocktails were somewhat hit or miss. The caipirinha felt a bit watered down and lacked the punch I was expecting, though the espresso martini was solid.

Overall, it is a fun, lively place for trivia nights and game days. With a bit more consistency in the cocktails, it would easily be a five-star experience.”

“I ordered pick up from Ginger Exchange on a Friday night. The service was really great and friendly and the prices were fair. Also the menu selection is wide ranging so there will be something for everyone. This is also conveniently located on a stretch of highland where there are not many other restaurants, which is great. In terms of the food itself, would love to see a bit more depth of flavor in some of the dishes like the bibimbap and noodles!”
