If you're looking for a spot in town that does more than just serve up some seriously tasty treats, you've got to check out Forge Baking Co. I recently had the pleasure of attending their trivia night, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast! The atmosphere was lively and engaging, making it a perfect evening out with friends or a fun way to meet new people. But the surprises didn't stop at trivia. Forge Baking Co also introduced me to some of the most unique ice cream flavors I've ever encountered. Each scoop was a delightful adventure for the taste buds, leaving me eager to come back for more. Their creativity in the kitchen is something you don't want to miss.Given the fantastic time I had at night, I'm definitely planning to visit Forge Baking Co during the day as well. It's clear they've got a lot to offer no matter the time of day, from their fun events to their innovative menu. Whether you're in for the trivia, the ice cream, or just a cozy spot to relax, Forge Baking Co is the place to be.

I grabbed lunch to bring a consultant over for work. Despite working nearby, I hadn't yet discovered this place! It's fantastic; it serves as both a café offering food and drinks, and an ice cream parlor. We all chose sandwiches, and they were honestly top-notch. The bread had just the right firmness to hold the sandwich together yet was soft when you took a bite. It was satisfyingly filling, perfect for a quick meal. The service was exceptional too. Although I didn't catch his name, the person at the register was incredibly helpful, ensuring everything was to our liking and answering any questions we had

Forge Baking Co & Ice Cream Bar earns four stars for its delectable bread and sandwiches, which are undeniably delicious and worth savoring. However, while the culinary offerings excel, the coffee falls short of expectations, lacking the robust flavor and quality one would hope for. Additionally, while the ambiance is pleasant, it could benefit from a cozier atmosphere to enhance the overall dining experience. One aspect that may deter some patrons is the pricing, which leans towards the expensive side. While the quality of the food justifies some of the cost, it may not align with everyone's budget.Overall, Forge Baking Co & Ice Cream Bar is a noteworthy establishment for its exceptional bread and sandwiches, despite minor drawbacks in the coffee quality and ambience. If you're willing to indulge in a tasty treat and don't mind the higher price point, it's certainly worth a visit.

The food is reliably fresh and delicious. The bread choices for the sandwiches are great and the baked goods are delicious. They don't have many veggie or vegan options, but the ones they have are excellent.Overall, the place is a little overpriced for sandwiches, but the food is fantastic.Vegetarian options: There aren't many vegan or veggie options for sandwiches, but the ones they have are really filling and delicious. No vegan baked goods unfortunately.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian accommodating - vegan will be more difficult but veggie is easy. Very disappointed with the lack of vegan baked goods :(Parking: Free parking lot in front of the store.

Sadly pastry size has been going down and prices going up. Even though they're delicious, it's hard to swallow the change.

I ordered pastries and coffee for bridesmaids as they got ready for my daughter's wedding. Ordering was easy, delivery to the hotel was prompt but most importantly the pastries themselves were heaven. Best part? I snagged the last scone the next day as an after glow.

Fantastic bakery with solid drink options. Everything we ordered was scrumptious, and there was plenty of space to work + great wifi. Would absolutely come here again!

Very nice spot with good, not great food. The one very disappointing thing was the price. $80 for a sandwich lunch for 3, nothing crazy, was highly disappointing.

Great local bakery with a few solid vegan options. I really love their monthly vegetarian/vegan sandwich option on one of their whole wheat breads. Their vegan pumpkin loaf is also delicious! Not too sweet and perfect texture.I do wish they had a few more vegan options, but it’s overall a lovely place.Vegetarian options: Vegan sandwich, sweet bread, and milk options

Best espresso I’ve had in maybe my entire life. And the fresh-baked foccacia? Indescribable. We stayed in Somerville for 2 days and came here 3 times.

Rude staff. Receptionist gave me a hard time for looking at the menu and not being ready to order when she wanted me to be

Ask for ice cream flavors before deliberating based on the menu, as it was not up to date. I only got ice cream here as there were slim pickings left for baked goods by 3:30pm. It was $5.50 for 1 scoop and I think $6.75 for 2 ample scoops. The cinnamon and especially the pumpkin caramel were both less sweet than expected. The pumpkin didn't taste caramel-y at all, more like pumpkin from a can or a very mildly sweetened pumpkin pie. Not my favorite ice cream. The texture was a strange mix of sticky and just on the edge of icy. I would not call it creamy. Still, that didn't stop me from finishing my 2 scoops. It's very spacious inside with lots of seats though most were taken. You can watch them bake through a wide window. I liked browsing their selection of plants and cool wood and ceramic pots & holders.

What a hidden gem! Their cardamom latte was amazing, and their baked goods were really on point. It's an unassuming bakery/café, but I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised by their breakfast options, and baked goods! they do have some seating in the back, and it's simple but nice.
