Sometimes you walk into an establishment and know that you are exactly where you're meant to be. I feel that way every time I show up to Samba. It's as if the classic sitcom "Cheers" never ended, but instead was just transported from Comm Ave to Somerville Ave. Sometimes you wanna go where good times are the main priority. Oh Samba. There are so many reasons I shouldn't love you, but I do. The closest neighborhood dive bar to my current abode, I had a crush on Samba for months before even making a move. I'd walk by it on the way to the T or drive past it when going to work. Sure it looked a little rough around the edges, but hey- chicks dig that. My first experience was probably not the norm. Great spot! Any place that attracts some element of entertainment or nightlife is always going to get some disgruntled reviews. But we had a great time here. Had a late bite and some cocktails and we really enjoyed the service and music after. Been making a point to support local and been to a few spots I never tried, as someone born and raised in Somerville. Definitely recommend stopping in! Especially for folks looking for some Brazilian music and fare.
