Michette is such an amazing addition to East Somerville! I love that the owner, Thomas, has created such a friendly neighborhood bakery. It's so cool that I run into neighbors and friends when I go, and that people also line up from all over the city. My personal favorites are the fougasse, guayaba roll, potato focaccia, caramelized banana chausson, and toasted oats cookies.

I was excited to try this bakery, and it didn't disappoint! At Friday around 8am there was no line outside and plenty of items on display. I ordered the almond croissant, and wow was it was amazing. Buttery and flaky with a generous, even layer of frangipane throughout. I really appreciate how they make sure to fill even the ends of the almond croissant with a liberal amount of filling (oftentimes, I've found that bakeries only place filling towards the middle of the croissant)....read full review
