Has a cozy atmosphere and great food with generous helpings. I haven’t had Brazilian food before so I don’t have a good point of reference, but I’d say it was near restaurant quality.
Love Mineriao! These are the types of places we need to remain in Union Sq if it will keep any charm with things developing. A local market where you can get all of your needs and find Brazilian goods and food that you won't find at some overpriced Whole Foods. People can come here and get an honest meal at lunch break, and they have great meats+prices at butcher area. Support local, support small, and support authentic!

Mineirão is small but packed to the brim with Brazilian goodies. They are stocked with calabresa and paio, types of Brazilian sausages that are very hard to find in other markets in the US (and I've been to several looking for them...). Their snack aisle was full of all childhood favorites including Fandangos (an addicting corn based chip) and polvilho (a crunchy, airy snack). They have an extensive cafe menu that I will come back to try.
