Bottom line - has the best spicy salmon roll around Davis Square. Reasonable prices for the quality of fish you get. Opens later than most restaurants. Service is not the best but something to be expected from a family run restaurant and you can see they try. In any case, the food more than makes up for it. If you care more about your food tasting good and the restaurant using fresh, quality ingredients than being pampered by your waiter/waitress then this is a solid option! I wasn't going to write a review for this place but felt *inspired* by some other reviewers who seem to expect this place to be some high end Michelin eatery with service to match. There is an issue if you're paying regular man food prices, expecting rich man treatment - and the issue is not the restaurant lol. I got the spicy beef noodle soup and spicy salmon rolls here. Beef noodle soup: the broth is full of bold flavors and the noodles slightly al dente. Given the fact many places around Davis Square serve noodles overcooked and soggy, I found this to be a welcome and delightful experience! It's a fitting dish to get when it gets chilly. Spicy salmon roll: one of the BEST spicy salmon rolls I've had around the area. The salmon they used was fresh and there is just the right amount of tempura flakes mixed in for the crunchy texture that contrasts so well with the fish. It has a slight kick but not overpowering. This is a TEXTBOOK take on spicy salmon rolls. It should be simple, fresh, crunchy and this place nailed all three, at a reasonable price. Didn't have high expectations because of the price/decor/reviews but was pleasantly surprised. This place is underrated especially for the price you get fresh sushi at. Don't be that guy who pays for cheap phone charging cables then gets mad when it breaks within the month. Want 5 star service? Go to a more expensive restaurant and pay $20 for sushi and a professional waiter. Want simple and fresh? This family owned business is the place for you.

Pretty good for a quick bite. Far from elite sushi, but for the price it’s a great spot. Pickup/take out is good, and eating in is surprisingly pleasant. Staff is always very courteous. Definite value play, and perfect spot for lunch.

Stoppped in for a quick lunch bite. Miso, 2 maki rolls, some fried eggrolls. everything was pretty mediocre. Didn't wind up finishing the food since the rice outside the rolls was old and hardened and the fish inside was mostly tempura flakes.

Got the House Dragon Maki and Lobster Roll. Both tasted great 5/5. But when I would pick up the roll and try to dip it in soy sauce, it would start falling apart. In the half second or so I dipped the roll in soy sauce, all of the rice was falling off into the soy sauce, so I was fishing rice out of the soy sauce lmao. Tasted fantastic though. Also, would be great if you could build your own sushi burrito. Just a thought.

The restaurant is low-key and isn't super busy. The service was good and the sushi burrito was cool to try. The food is affordable and good quality.

This is one of my favorite go to sushi spots near me! Good quality and affordable prices. Very low key and casual atmosphere. Their sushi tends to be packed with fish and minimal padding on of rice, which is usually inversed for some of the other spots I frequent.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch, and there was no other customers in the restaurant, which is a bit concerning. I ordered the fried oyster and a sashimi platter. The fried oyster was a bit disappointing. The batter was very thick and very soggy. The sashimi plater looked good. Portion-wise this was very worth it. However, I got a diarrhea late afternoon and at night. Not sure whether it was because of the sashimi. They looked fresh and tasted amazing tho...

Wonderful restaurant with very high quality sushi and other Japanese favorites. I got sushi deluxe. It was fresh and delicious. We came here when a nearby Japanese restaurant would not serve us because we had no reservations and wow. It turns out it was our lucky day. They treated us great!! Sushi and dumplings were great. Mai tai was sharp and fruity. Have fun here!
