Just the ticket for a casual lunch. BBy back ribs were tender and properly sauced and were not greasy as some can be. Onion rings were exceptional if you like crispy breading and mild onion flavor. Can't say enough good things about the Fish and Chips. Haddock filets with again a great crunch with the breading. Our server was especially friendly without being too attentive. Just perfect.

My husband and I really enjoy sitting at the bar for dinner at Oak Barrel Tavern. Poe has been our server/bar tender a number of times and he consistently goes above and beyond. The food is always delicious, and no matter how busy he is, Poe is always friendly, attentive and cheerful!

Loved everything about my first visit to the oak barrel tavern. The food was excellent, the prices are very good and the service was great.
We ate here mid-afternoon. The place is bright and has a really nice set up, not much atmosphere but it was only 1:30pm. We were seated near the partially open kitchen, but surprisingly left without that "restaurant smell" on our clothes. Our server Wayne came to our table within minutes of walking in, which we appreciated. He was super chill and really nice and we both noticed that right away. We started with the fried pickles and cherry peppers and they had a nice zing to them. I had the Left Coast burger which was cooked perfectly to my medium rare request, my wife had the fried chicken sandwich, which had a generous portion of chicken, but she thought was very dry. The regular and sweet potato tots were good, you could really taste the difference between them and the onion rings were also great. The cocktails, (we had the jalapeno mule), were well made- not overly sweet or too strong. The cocktails, app and main came out quickly. We would like to check it out on a busy night for the atmosphere. Overall I would recommend this place.Parking: Plenty of parking

We were in the mood for a burger and Oak Barrel Tavern did not disappoint. Burger and fries were great and the buffalo chicken dip was spectacular! We didn't finish our dinner and ended up taking the rest home with us. Friendly staff and clean atmosphere! A must dining experience for sure.

What an awful experience. Got the baby back ribs and steak tips last night. Although there was some issues with the order, not a big deal honestly. (Sent the wrong fries) However, the food was atrocious. Steak tips cooked wrong and dry. Leather belt texture. Ribs were literally worst I have ever had. Clearly boiled and then put under a roaster. Fries soggy and icy cold, despite me living 5 minutes away and getting there before food done. Even though I ordered this meal 25 minutes before closing, there is no excuse for a $57.00 waste of money this bad.

Loved the ambience and service here. Food was not to my liking. I ordered baby rib first but felt it was dry, they were considerate enough to replace with second order which was steak tips, that was better but i again felt it was chewy.May be it was not my day ?I will try one more time with other order as my wife was very happy with her main course.

Compare this on par with the "The Local" franchises popping up in the area.An odd part of our visit was the place couldn't give us a side of bbq sauce, even though we had a bbq bacon burger with it (could have been the server not understanding)

Odd to see Po and CJ being called out for bad service in another review. My experience has been they are two of the best bartenders I get to spend time with. In-fact OB should have them behind the bar more than they do.I fall into the appetizer and beer customer bucket more than entree, but I can tell you my apps are always above average, as is the service.Sudbury has limited choices, far from the many places to choose from. OB should be on your list to try if you havent.
The food was mediocre. One dish was particularly bad. The service and the ambiance was fine. I did not try much at the bar, but it seems like a fine spot to watch a game.

Went to the bar for 2 beers and some wings. It took about 45 minutes to get one beer and some food. The bar is less than half full with two bartenders and neither Po nor CJ seemed to care much about customer service. Lots of options in Sudbury - Oak Barrel should be at the bottom of your list of choices.

Out of towners stopped at a nearby restaurant around 1pm on a Sunday and they were fairly busy for a small space. It was a blessing in disguise! Wandered over to OBT and were absolutely delighted with the food, service, decor and ambiance! Ordered 'The Old No. 10' and a 'Mahogany Manhattan' and both were excellent! The No.10 is definitely 'spirit forward' but boy was it good! A bowl of clam chowder and a 'Bourbon BBQ Burger' with onion rings. Everything, and I mean everything, was excellent! Shoutout to Hunter for such great service; a true ambassador for the OBT brand! I wish there was one in San Diego! We will definitely be back next time we're in town. Thank you and see you not soon enough!!
