“A small to-go place, rather than a sit-in restaurant. The food is fresh and staff are friendly. I found a nice vibe in the (open) kitchen area, but there was something missing in the counter/waiting area. Can't tell exactly what it is, maybe the lighting is a bit dull or dark, or too much fluorescent-ish?Personally, I found the seasoning of meat (Carne Asada) was a bit toward salty side. Overall a nice place to grab a to-go menu if live nearby, but probably not worth driving 20+ mins just to try here.“
“So glad we found this hidden gem!! There is a huge margarita menu and they were out of this world. The presentation of the food was so fun and everything we had (fish tacos, pork tacos, enchiladas, kid’s quesadilla) was delicious. The service and atmosphere were also great. “Found this hidden gem on Instagram one day and the birria tacos served here looked insane so of course I had to try it! The restaurant is small but the staff are super sweet. You can try and walk in; however, the place does fill up quickly so try and get a reservation if you can! Started off with an order of guacamole and chips with some salsa and upon first glance it looks pretty regular. But the first bite of the guacamole and you can feel how smooth and zesty it's been made. The salsa was also delicious with some heat! For entrees ordered the Al pastor burrito and of course the birria tacos. The burrito was massive and a very interesting take on a burrito as it was crispy and seared well unlike most burritos which are usually quick soft and floppy.But no flops here. Pair each bite with the guac or salsa and it's perfect moving on to the star of the show, why I came here! The birria looks amazing. I loved how crispy the fried cheese was. Similar to the burrito, most birria taco spots make a wet and floppy taco, but no flops here!! The meat was super tender and you can tell it's been stewed inside the consume for hours maybe even days?! Each bite was better than the last.My only warning is due be mindful of how much consume you're consuming as it's a little salty and you might not notice it until after you've left the restaurant or even the next day.“

Indescribable feeling of being hit with the lovely aroma of breakfast and the bright, lively interior and the smiles from the staff. Tables were perfectly set up, and everything was so clean and inviting. As soon as we took our coats off, the wait staff was there with attentiveness (and fresh coffee). The menu is just incredible: an interweaving of Mexican and American classics, with standalone dishes in each culinary style. The portions were generous and appetizing. “Was in the mood for a burrito and for some odd reason somerville hasn’t been it for burritos as of late… so I decided to look around and found this spot. Idk how long they have been open but decided to give it a shot based of the reviews. I can honestly say it’s one of the best burritos I’ve had in a very long time. All the employees are super nice and friendly. All the ingredients and vegetables and meats that they use is all fresh. One thing I absolutely love is that they grill the burrito for you without asking and to me that makes the burrito 100x times better. “I'm so happy I finally tried this place , I'm happier it's up the street from me :) I didn't take a picture of the pupusas but oh my goodness, they were BIG and delicious, the queso was just oozing out , you had to be there , haha. “Phenomenal tacos. The highlights are the nachos, crispy fried tofu taco, and torta with crispy fried tofu. But you really can’t go wrong!My only recommendation would be to getter napkins for dine-in. Tacos are super messy and the napkins are thin and tiny.“

“I ordered ahead so that my order would be ready by the time I got to the restaurant. However, my order wasn’t ready. I waited about 25 mins for my order. That’s not my biggest issue though. I ordered steak enchiladas but I was given chicken enchiladas. I will be checking my order before I leave the restaurant next time. Lastly, the enchiladas were delicious but the rice & beans were subpar.“

“I have been a regular customer at Angela’s Cafe Orient Heights (particularly during breakfast) for the past several years! Every time I have been a customer at Angela’s, I have had an excellent experience! The wait staff is phenomenal, the food is delicious (I recommend the chilaquiles), and the atmosphere is great! I would definitely recommend Angela’s Cafe to anyone looking for an amazing bite to eat for breakfast in East Boston! One piece of advice that I must share is to make sure to come early and prepare to wait to be seated, especially during weekends, holidays, etc. All of the locals (myself included) know how amazing the food is here, and the restaurant is on the smaller side, so there is frequently a line out the door for breakfast! It’s totally worth the wait though!“

I recently dropped by this place while walking my dog, and found the place empty during peak dinner hours. To my pleasant surprise, Picante offered special dishes like Carne Asada and Pollo Asado - both my go-to dishes at authentic Mexican restaurants.Since the restaurant looked like a standard counter-serve kitchen, I was surprised when they brought a huge slap of meat from downstairs and put it on the grill. It took quite a bit to get them prepared, but the wait was worth it. The chicken from Pollo Asado was exceptionally tender, complemented by a medley of fresh vegetable toppings. With the occasional coarse grain of salt, each bite was further enhanced by a delightful burst of salty umami. The Carne Asada, although slightly overcooked, remained a savory and enjoyable dish.With its subtle surprises and quality Mexican specialty plates, Picante is a place I would probably frequent more. The experience with their standard burritos and tacos may be a bit different, but these dishes are certainly worth trying.“

Foods are generally good and well served. Price is a bit high. Some meter parkings are available by chance on Mass ave and the streets nearby. The dining room was very clean and has two tvs. The music was fairly loud but since there weren't a lot of people, it wasn't too annoying. The server was super friendly and she checked on us and made suggestions from the menu. I got a solid margarita to go along with the chips and salsa. Our daughter went to town on the bean dip! For dinner I ordered the pollo en crema - chicken in cream sauce. Thin cutlet with delicious cream sauce and mushrooms with rice and salad. The prices are very reasonable so we'll probably return!“

The pupusas were hot, the steak is seasoned perfectly the fajitas made my mouth water. There is a a great selection of food and the staff is so nice. I'm no taco expert but I've eaten plenty of good and not-so-good tacos and this place is awesome! When a taco place has al pastor, carnitas, Jarrito's, and even tortas (Mexican sandwhiches) and jugo morada then you know the chef/owner is legit. What's more they have what seems to be homemade flan bc it wasn't in a labeled prepackaged container. Needless to say, the food was delicious. I tried the carnitas, al pastor, guacamole, flan, and washed it down w a lime Jarrito. They had other things on the menu board that you don't typically find at other taco joints. Definitely coming back! Now that I've found this place I see no reason to consider any other taco place unless their closed.If you live near or just passing by and craving tacos, this is the place.“
