“Tried this for the first time when they came to a local 5K run and have been thinking about it ever since. Got the Pura Vida and it has acai, granola, strawberry, blueberries and honey. This hits the spot as it's not very sweet but just the perfect amount of sweetness where you can still taste slight tartness in the strawberries. Their base is not sweet like many other places. Tastes very light and feels healthy even after eating the whole bowl. The staff were very friendly, polite and didn't rush you to order. Inside has a few seatings and was very clean.“

This place was very helpful in making suggestions and asking me questions about what i liked typically then they made suggestions based on what i had described. In the end i loved an item which was similar to eggs with chorizo and I’ll be darned if it tasted just as authentic s the real dish. I had a couple of their pastry items and they could have been just as authentic. No exaggeration, the Seamoss is sooo good (and I’ve tried plenty other brands). The consistency/texture is smooth and the taste is everything!!! You can tell the seamoss was throughly cleaned. The jar was cold upon pickup, so I know it was properly stored. I literally can eat it by itself (which is what I intended on doing, but that was dependent on the taste)! Since Playa Bowls is a nationwide chain, I haven’t had the chance to visit until recently. With its light blue walls and rustic wooden tables, Playa Bowls felt like a mini-getaway to a Hawaiian beach cafe, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the acai bowl options here are much more diverse than other local places I’ve been to.I tried the Power Acai and the Electric Mermaid, and both were great. While the toppings were not particularly unique, their simplicity and the mildly-sweet smoothie bases resulted in a satisfying and well-balanced bowl. I especially enjoyed the combination of kiwi, pineapple, and coconut flakes with a drizzle of honey, which added an energizing boost to each bite. The portions sizes were also reasonable for the price, so if you’re looking for a quick and nourishing start to your day, I recommend giving them a try.“
