“I was excited to try this bakery, and it didn't disappoint! At Friday around 8am there was no line outside and plenty of items on display. I ordered the almond croissant, and wow was it was amazing. Buttery and flaky with a generous, even layer of frangipane throughout. I really appreciate how they make sure to fill even the ends of the almond croissant with a liberal amount of filling (oftentimes, I've found that bakeries only place filling towards the middle of the croissant). There's no seating inside, but there are some benches outside if you want to enjoy your pastries immediately. I recommend toasting them at home first - it was delicious warmed up!“

“Their cherry macaroons are out of this world. I had them back in 2015 at work and I've been thinking about them on and off for the last 8 years. I finally made it over to Newton today. They are just as good as I remembered and the bakery is so cute. I loved watching the people making stuff in the back while we waited, the staff was lovely and great at dealing with the crowd, and they still tie their boxes with string! We haven't tried the other things we've bought yet, but I'll be back for my next cookie fix. Thanks so much for the great experience.“

“Small bakery with small parking lot. Mostly outdoor seating.Prices are higher than other bakeries but I think quality makes up for it. If looking for quantity+quality, they have that too -- fruit croissant for example is basically an amazing dessert for 2 people. They normally have slices of cake/cheesecake/pie(?) as well that varies from day to day.I mostly go for sweets/pastries but they have bread options too. Their barbari bread is great and super sesame-y.“

“This is the ONLY place in Boston/Greater Boston where you can get the real french experience.I was born there and grew up there, this is exactly what you'll find in France. Meaning, it's light, tasty and delicate. These are fluffy. It's not like the american version (heavy, overly sweet, dense). The next best place (french bakery) is in Falmouth MA.The brioche was delicious, pain au chocolat, croissant, MERCI! I'll be back!“

“So delicious! I got the ricotta pie, which is a must have to try if you are a cheesecake lover. I almost loved it more than traditional cheesecake. My fiancé loved the Boston cream pie. For $6 a slice, the price is reasonable, considering the large portions and the fact that everything is expensive in this area. Very fast and efficient service!“

“From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff. The atmosphere was charming and cozy.We tried with their butter croissant, which was flaky, buttery, and simply divine! The flan was smooth and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. Great coffee as well. The selection of pastries, sandwiches, and desserts was extensive, and it was hard to choose just one. Each item we tried was meticulously crafted and bursting with flavor.Overall, our time at this Praline cafe was nothing short of exceptional. If you're looking for a culinary adventure that will transport you to the streets of Paris, this is the place to be. Bon appétit! ??☕️?“
“The desserts are excellent! I ordered on a delivery app and I tried the tiramisu cake, strawberry cream cake, and Oreo Mille cake which was especially good. The desserts are lighter and a bit less sweet than traditional American desserts which is really a nice change. You can tell a lot of care and attention went into making these desserts. So good, highly recommend.“

“A taste of Paris located inside the heart of Newton. Not bad! The lamination on the croissants were amazing, and not greasy or overly heavy as some tend to be. The variety of treats is overwhelming (in a good way!) but nonetheless a great spot to go to. Just a little crowded at busy times.“

“I usually go to Cocoleaf in Dorchester, but this is closer to where I was that day. The staff were all nice and helpful, the Che were all very sweet for my tastes and the fruits were all canned fruits. I love their drink menu, but I think I still prefer the Dorchester location.“
“Always come here for crema and quajada. Their prepared foods can be a hit or a miss so I would be careful. The tress leches they sell is not my style. Everything else is really good. Pastries are so good, pan dulce is amazingly fresh, and their fresh baked French rolls are delicious. I’ve even gotten their tortillas when I’m in a pinch and they are pretty good as well.“

“I need to edit this review as the store went above and beyond to fix it and delivered the cake themselves. Luckily the cake made it barely in time! Thank you ? as usual, your cake is fantastic, not overly sweet (in short, earlier today, a slice of cake was delivered instead of the cake for a birthday party, multiple calls to the store didn't get picked up). Moral of the story, picking up important orders is a better approach.“

“Delicious pastries and coffee!! We've had their cheesecake, macarons, croissant cubes, flavored croissants, espresso, and macchiatos. Their pastries are unique and inventive and nothing is ever too sweet (they seem to have perfected their sweet to buttery ratio). Their espresso is also soo delicious - we're hoping they sell beans that we can pick up the next time we stop by!Also, all of these negative reviews are WILD. I've never had a bad experience the multiple times I've visited and we're spoiled to have this gem within walking distance in Brookline... Lakon and the people that work there are wonderful and it's a shame their rating is as low as it is on here“

“If you like croissants this is the place for you. And they have big ones they have small ones they have apple ones they have Walnut ones they have all kinds of croissants and not only croissants but they have all kinds of pastries. But when I tell you these croissants taste like heaven has touched the earth I mean that. And the baker is in there is so kind and so sweet it's just a whole vibe. I came to find that they have several locations I only knew about the Watertown one but there are two other ones one in Belmont and I forget the other one nothing Google can't fix“
