“I called this place reluctantly late last night because it was my only real option at 9:30 pm (they close by 10)….i had tried it years ago and didn’t think it was very good. Well, last night they proved themselves lol! I ordered house fried rice and bone in spare ribs. Not only did they serve me with a smile and seem happy to be there still, I’m sure it had been a long day..the food was piping hot and so fresh! I was definitely expecting less ten minutes prior to closing! The rice had a little of everything and was so good! The pork pieces weren’t all fatty trimmings like most places. This was actual chunks of pork with very little to no fat. Little shrimps and chicken…so so good. I couldn’t stop eating it. The ribs were cooked to perfection, meaty, and so tasty I was licking my fingers and the bones haha! Best ribs I’ve had anywhere! The price was good too! I will definitely be back!“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“We have a new office in Boston. So periodically I drive down from our main office to the Boston location and every time I do, I have resolved to try a new restaurant. This was today’s choice and it was SPECTACULAR! My server was fantastic. The food came out quickly and was insanely good. I didn’t know how big my stir-fried rice cake bowl would be so I ordered the sweet and sour pork loin to go with it. But the rice cake bowl was huge and tasted incredible. Lots of heat, lots of fresh prepared veggies and meat. 10/10 would recommend that dish. The pork tenderloin I tried and 10/10 would recommend it as well. The location is a bit small and that is literally the only nit I can pick. If you’re in this area, get some take out or eat in , you won’t regret it!!“

“It's a very small place however it is cozy, the staff were friendly, and the food was great. It's rare when you find a restaurant that matches all three and this is one of them so if you're going or you're considering, I highly recommend you go.“

“Pleasantly surprised! The place was actually quite busy on a Friday afternoon. First caveat.. if you do not like lamb do not go here. There was a distinct lamb smell in the air because...lamb is really their specialty! We tried a few things.. beef and lamb, and by far the lamb was better. The noodles were the highlight, great texture and unlimited length! My comment makes it kind of funny that the noodles were harder to eat in my stir fry because it was one big noodle. As I was finishing eating, I remembered reading recently there’s a New Owner, often times quality / consistency goes down with a New Owner however that is not the case here. “I had a great time eating here because the atmosphere is really cool with big statues and a modern look that makes it feel fancy but still comfortable. The lettuce wraps are a must-try because they have so much flavor and are fun to put together yourself at the table. Everything we ordered came out looking beautiful and tasting really fresh, with a good mix of sweet and spicy options on the menu. The servers were very attentive and made sure our drinks stayed full throughout the whole meal. We were lucky and the pan fried dumplings were just coming out of the kitchen so they were piping hot - crispy outside, juicy and flavorful insides. “The woman who took my order over the phone knew exactly who I was when I walked in. She was so nice! My beef chow fun was ready in 5 minutes and is so fresh. I had to try it as soon as I got to the car because the smell was intoxicating. “This hole in the wall is not pretty Inside,but they do have Cantonese/Hong Kong Style food. They are Cash only. We got the curry sauce pork on spaghetti and Beef stew & wonton soup. The service was decent. Don't have have expectations for service at any Asian places. Our food came fast, but getting our bill took time. They got pretty busy. “We had a great experience at Clay Pot Cafe ! Everything we ordered really hit the spot.
The curry fish balls were flavorful and had just the right amount of spice definitely a must order. The chicken sausage clay pot was delicious, with perfectly cooked rice and rich, savory flavors that really brought the dish together.
The fish congee was a huge hit with the kids they absolutely loved it! It was comforting, fresh, and full of flavor.

“One of the only places near Boston that serve authentic FJ (Fuzhounese) food. Service is slow as there’s one boss lady doing everything from cooking to cleaning so don’t come in expecting too much and be patient. My favorites here are the peanut noodles (ban mian), stir fry rice cakes (nian gao), and the wonton soup (bian rou). CASH ONLY so bring change.

Everything is priced very affordably, I believe the 3 dishes in the pic were around $20 total.“

“We were a group of 4 who went to have late lunch. The restaurant was not crowded and we were seated immediately. Tables had iPads available through which we could place our orders. We ordered two bases, lamb, seafood platter and a vegetable platter. Food arrived fairly quickly.
We had to order sauces separately which was another 3.99 per person (we had to order 4 as required by them). The hot pot with two sauces was inconvenient to reach for 4 as there were two burners on the table but a single pot.
Seafood platter was disappointing as the quantity of food was very less.

“This place has some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time . Since moving to Holbrook this is my new go to spot for ordering take out or delivery. Today I ordered the General GAO’s Chicken combo plate w Beef Lo Mein , boneless spare ribs, and chicken fingers. Everything on that plate I give 10/10. It doesn’t get better with flavor and quality I had to tell my roommates about this place because I’m so impressed!!! Btw if you enjoy orange chicken you won’t be disappointed they even put fresh orange on the plate and the portions are huge. Great fried rice and all the appetizers are on point as well. “The food was tasty & fresh, and it was ready for us in less than 30 mins which is awesome. Portions are good as well.
I’m only taking one star off because we got the hunan chicken expecting it to be spicy, but it had no spice at all. It was comparable to the regular chicken & veg w/brown sauce. It tasted good but its not what i was expecting, since on the menu it was advertised as spicy.
Next time we order i think i will ask them to make our dishes extra spicy.

A little bummed out there was no fortune cookies as well, but that could have been a genuine mistake.
