We've rounded up Weymouth's top Mexican spots for you to try.
“We ordered online. The burrito menu is extensive! Loved all the options. Chicken Burrito with Spanish rice pic de gallo guac sour cream and lettuce was delicious. Place was so clean. Staff so friendly. Definitely a great place for take out dinner! High recommended.“
“This place is by far my girlfriend's favorite authentic Mexican restaurant - therefore it's my favorite by proxy ahaha! In all seriousness, this place is excellent - it is highly recommended by both her and me. My favorite is the ultimate cheese enchiladas there and I really like to follow that up with their cheesecake chimichangas for dessert.“
“Had a great night here our last night in Boston! Fantastic food. Definitely try the steak fajitas--tender and nuanced flavors! The drinks were even better! We had the Margarita Cosmica, Atomico, and Charro. And best of all was the attentive service. Marco, who designed the drinks clearly loves what he is doing and was so generous in sharing his knowledge.“
“First off there is more than ample parking and the building is in a very accessible location. Once you step into the restaurant you get very cool, hip, cultural vibes. The bar is beautiful and the drinks are beyond amazing. I had a prickly pear margarita that was what I could only describe as foreplay in my mouth. Tease of sweetness and sultry all at once. The menu is extensive with something for everyone. Definitely top quality ingredients used with exceptional flavors and great presentation. The service was top notch. This place runs like a well oiled machine. Definitely recommend and will be coming back often.“
“First time trying their bottomless brunch here. We were afraid portions would be too big but actually they're slightly smaller than usual tapas plates. Some of our favorites were the Mexican street corn, fish tacos, French toast and strawberry waffles (they come in a quarter piece). The bloody Mary and raspberry mojotis were both delicious. Not a big menu and a few items were very similar. Most of the food felt prepared and sitting there ahead of time as they didn't come out hot.The ambiance was nice and chill. Would recommend making reservations. Our server was nice and attentive and let us keep ordering without any issues.“
“Maria's Taqueria has very cost-effective and tasty tacos in a convenient location! Portion sizes are great as well. Would definitely consider getting tacos, taco salad and burritos from here and the best part is that it wont break the bank! The service is nice and quick. Atmosphere has room to grow.Food - 12/20Service - 6/10Atmosphere - 3/10“
“I had heard good things about Little Carmen’s and could not wait to try it. It was worth the hour drive to get there!! Pam our server was spot on, attentive and super friendly. She actually made us feel like we were regulars!! The food was out of this world, we cannot wait to go back. It may have to be next weekend ?“
“What an incredible vibe at this place. Everywhere you look, there is something to see. Amazing decor, and the seating is very well spaced. The drinks were very good and well made. I had the non alcoholic mango mint. The food choices here are great and full of flavor. The service was also very good and attentive. A great place for brunch, dinner, and late night drinks and apps.“
“Last minute we decided to get some grub. We didn’t have a reservation but we were able to sit in the bartender section. There is a lot of space for walk ins. I would definitely recommend several of the meals we got.Corn bread was a must! The tacos were delicious. My sister and I split the shrimp and pork tacos. The tuna tartarewas 10/10 so refreshing. Wish I ordered a second one. The only thing that I didn’t like was the calamari. It was slightly burnt but the pieces that weren’t we fine.“
“I’ve heard so many good things through friends about yellow door Taqueria and it’s definitely worth it! The ambience is cute, has dim, lighting, and cozy. Definitely recommend making reservation or trying your luck at the bar. overall will be coming back love that the tacos were shareable and the spicy mar fabulous! They put effort in the plating and in the aesthetic of the drinks.Parking: Street parking meters“
“Cielo is consistently delicious. Both fish entrees are incredible, the Cielo dip is glutonous and wonderful, and the steak quesedillas are some of the best I've ever had.The service can be slow as this place is small, but gets packed - totally worth it.“
“Yesterday, we had the Al Pastor and Birria tacos and both were delicious. The Birria came with jus for dipping and the hot sauce had a good flavor and some heat. All the staff were friendly and helpful when we were there. They have very reasonable prices and a good selection of Jarritos and other sodas. This will be a great addition to the south end and we will definitely be back!“
“Came back a second time and enjoyed a couple of entrees - sombrero fajitas (chx, beef, and shrimp), and a plate of taquitos. Food was super yummy - although I could nitpick and say that the ratio of meat on the fajita platter was way skewed towards the cheaper chicken - only had a few skimpy pieces of beef and three shrimp - but whatever. Service can be slow if they're busy, but everyone is friendly. This is now in the regular rotation for low-key date nights!“
“Food gets out fast! It’s on the average. Nothing too wow about it.Great place to bring a group of people and hang out and have pitcher margaritas and celebrate.Meals are pretty good portion. I had the fajita chimichanga and it was big!Personally I would go there with a bunch of friends for the pitchers of margarita and a bunch of appetizers.Great atmosphere to hangout and spend time with friends and chill.Parking: It’s a hit or miss on street parking in that area.“
“we had the best tamarindo margaritas and queso fundido. however we were a group of 9 they charge us a fee to use the restaurant. I asked for my check early. they charge me the group fee. I denied to pay it and o e staff member said he will pay for it. I said if u want than he insulted me. I paid and left. so be careful ask if there are fees.“
“Was lucky to randomly check this place out and meet the owner/chef Vance. Nice guy who gave me a brief history of the joint and told me about the Pastelitos, aka empanadas. So I tried the chicken empanada and it was DELICIOUS! My margarita was Strong too. Check this place out!“
“My favorite spot in Boston! The staff is incredibly friendly, particularly Daniel who works in the front. The vibe is great! If there is one thing I would change, it would be the music. For a Mexican restaurant there is little to no Latin music played on the weekends. That is a vibe/feeling that is missing from Seaport and Borrachito has it all to become that spot! Lastly, Brek’s sets on the weekends are the best“
“Went to the South End location in Boston. It's a small venue but, perfect for a date night or a gathering with friends. The plates are kind of more like tapas than actual meal dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our bartender was amazing she did such a wonderful job multi-tasking. Would recommend “
“The best Mexican restaurant in a long time. Great view and an extremely nice waiter. Wow. Unfortunately we're just on vacation and won't be able to get back to work anytime soon. But I think it would be worth a visit just because of the restaurant. Thank you.“
“My wife and I went on Friday 3/22. The food was great we started with homemade guacamole and the Cadillac marquritias. My wife ordered the Mexico City tacos and I ordered Enchiladas Rojas with ground beef. For dessert we ordered Churros. We come to this restaurant a lot especially with our son because it almost across the street from our house. This is our favorite restaurant.Parking: Share a parking lot with hotel there is plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: They do have kids menu“
“Best mexican food in Boston. We tried the quesadillas and the tortas, both are amazing. We only got a photo of the beef torta though. But the cochinita pibil and steak quesadillas were great too.The service was amazing. They went above and beyond and were super friendly.Incredible food, atmosphere and service. 10/10 would reccommend. I recommend dining in, the decoration and vibes are great too.“
“It was very busy at 5pm on a Friday. We were able to get a table quickly. Small clean space. Limited menu but everything was delicious. We had a good waitress. Drinks we tasty. I would go again. Nachos were the favorite. We had leftovers of everything. Good the next day. You should sell your homemade salsa/hot sauces.“
“If you are craving Mexican food then this is a great stop. You will leave full and satisfied. It's never been really busy when I've gone so it's been an enjoyable , relaxing visitParking: They got a good sized lotKid-friendliness: There's no dancing piñatas or anything just a normal place to get food and drinksWheelchair accessibility: It'll fit around the establishment“
“We catered every single flavor The Nada Cart had to offer for a party and the process was extremely easy. The response time for the order was quick and it was delivered on time. The empanadas are absolutely delicious! Everyone were impressed how good the empanadas are and asked where did I got it from!!! The fillings were very generous and you can taste the flavor in every bite. There empanadas are definitely my go to. Looking forward to cater more in the future.“
“Food was absolutely outstanding, especially for a fast walk-in place. We got the steak burrito, steak quesadilla and chicken salad. Everything was fresh, flavorful and full of fresh veggies. Worth getting out of the tourist area for this place.“
“Just had Chilacates for the first time, ordered the Shrimp Burrito and it was absolutely delicious. A great alternative to Chipotle and the prices are similar too. Picked it up so I didn't have any experience with the service, but it looks like a fun place inside. I'll definitely get it again soon.“
“Wow, just tried Lunita Mexican Food in Quincy (School Street). The food is fantastic. Fresh and the spices are on point. I got the carnitas bowl with Mexican rice, black beans and salsas. My husband got the Al Pastor burrito. We also got a side of Queso and chips. All the meat was super tender and flavorful. Don’t ignore the homemade desserts. The tres leches cake is so milky and smooth. Flan has the perfect texture and caramel flavor. Staff super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Will definitely be back.“
“The inventive cocktails and extensive tequila selection add to the excitement, creating the perfect backdrop for a fun night out with friends. With its lively ambiance and mouthwatering cuisine, Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar promises an unforgettable dining experience that keeps you coming back for more.“
“Found this Hidden Gem ? of a Taqueria located in Dorchester.I entered the Taqueria and was Greeted by Camila who was Friendly and Welcoming she suggested the Birria Tacos ? and I also ordered a side of Sweet Plantains ? and the Tacos to be Cooked Crispy everything was Delicious ?.The Meat in the Birria Tacos was so Flavorful and Delicious ? with the side of Consomme to dip the Tacos ? in ?.She also gave me Jamaica ( Hibiscus ) Drink to try and it was very Tasty ?.The Service was Excellent ?.The Entire Culinary Team did a Great Job ???.I Highly Recommend!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“The main dishes were average. The chips, salsa, and guac were all solid. The portion sizes were oddly small. I received a tiny serving of rice and an even smaller serving of beans with my food. Our waters stayed full the entire time.I ordered the carne Asada, which I ordered medium rare. It arrived medium-well, and I wasn’t sure whether it was intentional or not. The flavors were good, but frankly, not great. The enchilada that came on my plate had a highly overcooked filling of white meat chicken. I would have expected thigh or otherwise more careful cooking.Parking: Extremely busy downtown street parking, or expensive garage parking is available.Wheelchair accessibility: No accessibility here. Several stairs to enter, narrow pathways, and cramped interior. No elevator to be found.“
“Came here for Sunday brunch & it was all top tier. Our server was Angelica & it seemed like I knew her my whole life. The ambiance music/art colors were all a vibe, the food flavors were fire except my eggs were a little over cooked, but my perfectly cooked plátano maduros & pupusas completely made up for it, & service was excellent. I can’t wait to go back & explore more of their eclectic menu! ?“
“I stopped by the gas station with my husband to buy a bottle of water and we saw a cafe inside selling Latin food, so we decided to have a little snack there. We were skeptical because of the location but we were surprised the food was delicious! We ordered a horchata(drink), an empanada and a pork pupusa. My husband really liked the empanada and I liked the pupusa but we both agreed that the horchata was too good. The prices are great, the store in general is clean and they are friendly. They also sell tacos, burritos, and shakes. I highly recommend this place.“
“My favourite burrito place in Boston (yes I like it better than Anna's). It gets very busy, but the staff are very friendly and understanding and try their best to keep up. The spicy mole chicken burrito is an absolute must-have, the carnitas is a close second. All in all very authentic tasting food. Good value as well, they don't skimp out on ingredients. It's a shame they're only open during lunch hours.“
“The overall ambience is spectacular. The menu has a wide assortment of dishes. From the appetizers to dinner, everything was tasty & some of the best food we've had in Boston. The restaurant is reasonably priced and I highly recommend dining here.“
“Moved to Quincy last week and wanted to find a great local Mexican spot. Tried La Paloma today for the first time with my husband and we both loved it. The drinks and food were amazing. The staff was friendly and service was fast. Definitely will be back!“
“Ive been going to chilacates since they opened in JP and they continue to be my favorite for mexican takeout in Boston. Chicken tinga burrito is my favorite and the smaller burrito size is more than enough and fairly priced. Other goods include the quesadilla and “
“I don't like the Phantom Gourmet (sales platform, not real reviews), but.... Because of them I heard of this place. I must say, this is the best Mexican food in the South Shore.Everything tastes like it was made from scratch. I had the Carnitas plate and I loved it, my wife found it to be a little heavy with cinnamon, but I loved it! My wife had the Shrimp chimichanga, Even the tortilla looked like it was made on the premises..We also had corn chips with the mango habanero salsa and guacamole. I have seen other reviews say "food is not spicy" well order the mango habanera salsa... It was amazing and will make you sweat. On top of the great food, they have amazing local craft beers like Vitamin Sea and Widowmaker. The music was a little loud, but after a couple IPA I cared less, lol.“
“Haven’t found a good Mexican spot in Boston until now! Food was top tier, service was so friendly. Spacious restaurant and clean as all hell. Don’t sleep on their passion fruit margarita and if you have the chance to try everything do it! Will definitely be “
“Pretty good Mexican food. They’ve got spice just ask for extra. The pico de gallo has it. I like their burritos. Would be five star but they use like a rice a roni instead of true Mexican rice. Something about it but the flavor is just off. Otherwise I eat here all the time. It’s affordable.“
“Mmm BUENO! A concept similar to Chipotle, but much much better...I'm a big fan of the chicken burrito; overstuffed with fresh ingredients but not overwhelmingly large. Just right for lunch. This place is always packed and I can understand why; fresh ingredient with everything made to order. I would definitely recommend checking it out!“
“In my opinion the best little takeout taqueria in Boston.. The food is always consistent. Their tacos are my go to. They never disappoint.. I've heard the burritos are also amazing. It's a great, local, family owned business.. The owner Ricky and his mom are really good people.. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'“
“The food was absolutely delicious. I had the pollo Santa Fe and the portions were generous and the flavors blended well. The service was great and the teamwork among the crew awesome. The crew was friendly and the food arrived quickly. The atmosphere was very relaxing“
“The food is delicious with a wide interesting variety of options. The staff is also very friendly. This is definitely my go to place. The items are priced reasonably and guacamole is free!Vegetarian options: There is vegetarian meat selection that goes well with all the other ingredients“
“Cannot comment on the food (all money spent was on drinks) but attended on a Saturday night and had a blast dancing. The DJ played a ton of throwbacks/classics and I lost my voice singing and dancing. Only note is they ran out of coat check room really fast so we all had to hold our coats. For a nice place, that was really annoying.“
“My wife and I tried out Dora Taqueria last weekend and it surpassed our expectations. We have a couple go-to Mexican spots, but this one is likely to be our new favorite. I've always been a fan of torta's, and this one was both delicious and unique. My wife had three tacos, which she loved. The portions are generous. I *could* have saved some to take home, but I didn't want to! :-)“
