The pristine service, the delicious entrees with high quality ingredients and culinary skills, and the cozy atmosphere of a 100 year plus home was amazing. We wished for nothing more. Leave the bustle of the city …. Come home…. To the Gates. You will not be disappointed.”

“This has got to be the tastiest Chinese food I’ve ever had, it wasn’t overly salty or spicy or oily, it was just delicious! We ordered the Family dinner for 5, then added Shrimp Chow Mein and Ginger Beef, every dish was a hit! There were 6 of us, I’m sure 10 people could have easily been fed with the amount of leftovers we had! The owner was very friendly, will definitely be our only pick for Chinese takeout in the future 👍”

“Ordered the steak on garlic bread and sautéed mushrooms. Came with shoestring fries. Asked for side of gravy. Spiced the meal to my liking. Service was good, though wasn’t asked at any point how my food was, tasted or if it was acceptable. Overall, it’s a sporty fun looking place to eat, and the food does appear quite appealing and flavourful. 3 out of 5 stars today.”

“Staff is always friendly and food is always fresh when I come. Staff remember me when I come in as “the onion guy” cuz I always get a pile of onions and triple toast! They let me load up my sandwich and don’t skimp on toppings, always leaving my large appetite satisfied! Usually come in with my young kids and staff is always kind, actually communicate with them and listen to their sandwich building instructions. One of my favourite places to eat and get good value for the dollar”

“Great amazing coffee - best beans at a great price. Love the San Fran blend. We've been buying for 5 kg bags for the last 6 years and have not found a comparable bean for a better price.In response to the lower reviews - Sunstone is a small business and the owner sells primarily to businesses but permits the general public to purchase beans when he is available. The owner is very friendly and tries his best to accommodate the public but we are neither his primary clientele nor his main source of income. I am not the owner or a relative but have deep respect for capacity restrictions of small business owners.”

“We always stop here when we’re driving back home from Winnipeg. The place is clean, usually not too busy, and very comfortable for a break after a long drive. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and Raman was especially kind, polite, and hospitable, which made our visit even more pleasant. Service is quick, and the food is consistently good. A great spot to stop on the way — we’ll definitely keep coming back.”

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Original Joe’s here in Winnipeg tonight. I live just down the street, and it’s always great when a local spot delivers the kind of respectful, attentive service that makes you want to keep coming back.

I came in mainly to enjoy a few beers and unwind, and Brittany and Brooklyn completely understood the vibe I was going for. They were quick, friendly, and perfectly timed with their check-ins — exactly the kind of smooth rotational service that makes grabbing a few drinks relaxing instead of inconvenient.

Both of them made me feel welcome the entire time. Never rushed, never ignored — just genuinely great service from start to finish. And the complimentary beer they surprised me with was a classy, much-appreciated touch that really made my night.

Huge shoutout to Brittany and Brooklyn for going above and beyond. They deserve full credit for making this such a great experience.

This is exactly the kind of service that keeps me loyal to my neighbourhood spots. I’ll definitely be back. 🍻”

The Beef Dip was absolutely amazing on the Foccoscia bread BUT it's too soft for the Au Jus (just falls apart in a soggy mess and hard to handle) Definitely recommend toasting the bread longer and the Pierogies less (but that's just my opinion) They're a lil' hard on the teefers and like mine just slightly fried. Garlic Parm fries were a Unique upgrade but lacking Garlic Flavor & Value. Would be amazing vs ok with a Pinch more Parm. Atmosphere was Modern,Upgraded, and CLEAN. Loved the Huge Ferns and Cafe' aesthetic. Great Service!!! Drinks always Full. Would definitely come back to try other menu items. Menu has lots to Offer.”

Right off the Winnipeg bypass all the amenities within minutes of walking. td bank pharmacies grocery stores and the prices on all of it were not tourist rip off rip off. Plus the road infrastructure was well planed for getting in and out.”
