“My sister and I enjoyed a pub-style meal after our Thermea Spa experience. My burger was juicy and extra large, with fries on the side. She had the delicious steak sandwich. We were not expecting a warmed ciabatta bread while we waited for our food. Service was excellent! Love the atmosphere here. I would highly recommend the McGilvary location.“

“AMAZING!! Our server was Naomi, she was amazing! We had never been to Chop before so she explained the menu and how it all worked. She was friendly and just made our experience that much more amazing. After several returns to our table to see if we were ready to order and some small talk that we were celebrating our anniversary, she made some recommendations based on some of her favorites. Because it was our first time there, we were also visited by the manger who came to introduce himself and welcome us and brought us a complimentary dish to try and let us know that if Naomi was busy and we needed something to not hestitate to call on him. Ultimately we ended up ordering mussels for an appetizer; they were out of mussel so we got the shrimp she recommended instead, which was really good. We ordered the steak & lobster dinner; they were out of lobster, she recommended the steak oskar dinner, which was ultimately delicious. The top sirloin steak dinner with loaded mashed potato....delish!!! So all and all even though there were a few hiccups everything we did have was perfectly done and tasted amazing! Because we were celebrating our anniversary, we were offered a complimentary glass of wine or dessert. We picked the dessert. We had the cheesecake and flourless chocolate torte. Both were just insanely delicious. Highly recommend going and experiencing it for yourself, you won't be disappointed....even if they don't have what you wanted in the first place ?“

“All the food was absolutely amazing. The prime rib cooked to perfection, and the horseradish is crazy strong. The meat was to rave about and worth the trip, but I had the grilled veggies and was pleasantly surprised. There was a large variety, and each type was so flavorful and cooked to perfection! It made the meal so complete, compared to other places where they are often just ok, or worse. Our server was also perfect in attention, friendliness, and efficiency.“

“We had an excellent first experience at Leopold's! We dropped in for a late night Dinner as we happened to be driving thru Bridgwater. Loved the Cream of Mushroom Soup, and a Bowl is a meal by itself its so huge with plenty of mushrooms! The Beef Dip was also delicious and both were complemented with a refreshing Blueberry Beer! Our Hostess Jess was also very attentive. We will definitely be back for a future visit to this or your other location.“

“This place Rocks. Called one time (put on a Scottish accent) which I’m pretty good at, and took whom I’d later know as Jo for a ride.Asked if they had Karaoke that night, she said yes. I proceeded to ask “how many songs would they let me sing”? She replied as many as you want but I sensed she was getting testy. (I have that charm on women). So right then and there she says “okay Cliff, are ya coming down or not”! (Dam call display). We introduced ourselves when we got there, and she is the reason we go back!! Totally recommend this bar! “This is probably one of the most authentic speakeasies in Winnipeg—super interesting entrance, it’s giving prohibition lol. Been to a couple shows (improv and comedy nights) and they’re all good. The drinks are interesting, and the staff are always friendly.“

“I've been here quite a few times and I really enjoy it. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The only thing I was a bit unimpressed with was the fries, they were well seasoned and the dill dip is amazing as always, but the fries weren't quite on par with what I'm used to from them, not sure if they changed them or not but they seemed almost undercooked and had a different texture then I'm used to. I'll definitely try them again another time because they're usually a 10 out of 10 so maybe just an off night for them. Overall everything else was great and I definitely recommend!“
