Meat-eaters, be not afraid, your taste buds will thank you!My boyfriend loves this place and today was the first time I've had their food. I'm not a vegan myself but I'm no stranger to vegan foods. I've even baked and cooked them. But after eating here, I've been shaken to my core! The tat-chos were easily one of the greatest things I've ever had and I would happily consume them for breakfast every day until I die if that were feasible... The vegan queso on them was amazing and we went home with a container (and a thing of cashew pepper cheddar). My boyfriend got the I bagel to differ brunch special and I had a couple bites and it was also incredible. It was spicy, sweet, and the best hollandaise I've ever had!If you're on the fence about checking this place out, leap! You won't regret eating here.Vegetarian options: The whole menu is plant-basedParking: Parking in front of restaurantWheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp up to the establishment

The best exclusively vegan restaurant in Winnipeg, Roughage serves up a small, but well executed, selection of comfort foods. I would not say it is budget-friendly, however it is worth noting that everything is made from scratch from the seitan "meats" to the sauces to the strawberry sauce in the milkshake, thus making it worth the extra dollars. Service has always been welcoming and friendly.Bonus that all takeaway comes in compostable containers!

Dragged to Winnipeg because of family. Finally convinced them to go to one of the few vegan restaurants in the area only to find out they closed at 3pm on Saturday. No explanation given and now I'm forced to go to a regular restaurant and eat the salads.

From out of town. Over veganaise sandwiches. Use some cream butter on all food that isn't good even in salads. Friendly staff. Priced a little high. I take Chicago diner anyday.

We went for the first time. It was a little hard to find for us, a sign on the street would be great. It is an older cozy building with very friendly staff ( owner ). We loved the juicy Lucy Burger and French Dip Sandwich, both exceptional delicious. The Soft serve milkshake was a great ending to our meal, we got also some cookies to go. So yummy :) Thank you and we will for sure return.

We were welcomed by the friendly staff. It was so hard to decide from all the vegan comfort food items. So we ordered several items and the chef cut the sandwiches into thirds so we could all taste. We ordered the juicy Lucy burger, un chickn wrap, and the Brie sandwich. Sides included tortilla chips with cheesy sauce and coleslaw. Also, strawberry shortcake shakes, made with their own homemade oat soft serve. We didn’t have any more tummy space so chef send us home with freshly baked pastries. Eating at Roughage Eatery lifted our spirits after a long flight from Los Ángeles to Winnipeg. ???

If you are vegan, this is the place to eat! (and if you're not, this place will show you how good vegan food can be!) All the dishes we tried were to die for. Not only is the food fantastic, the vibe of the place will keep you coming back. After eating here, we made plans to frequently visit Canada just so we can grab a bite to eat!

We love Roughage Eatery... The food is delicious, really amazing and fresh, and the service from Syd and the rest of the staff is top notch. We were traveling through Winnipeg and we always look for the best vegan restaurants wherever we go, and we found it here!On Friday, we enjoyed lunch so much, we ordered dinner to go... Both meals were superb. Saturday we stopped in for lunch, and came back for dinner, it was all so good! The pasta, mac & cheese, salad, tot-chos, soup, sandwiches and desserts were all amazing! And we love supporting small businesses and local owners...Vegetarian options: The whole menu is vegan plant-based and delicious!
