I had a great time here! I enjoyed talking with the owner and learning about the different dishes. It's more of a take out restaurant. They only have 2 tables inside, so be prepared to not get a spot to dine in. The food was very authentic Mexican and delicious, however, the portion size was pretty small. I was still hungry after eating and I paid just under $20. I will return but I'll have to order a bit more food.
Best authentic tacos in Winnipeg! Their birria tacos are one of the best. You can get the extra sides and drink for an additional $4. Carnitas, empanadas and churros were amazing as well.The store is quite small and have limited seating. Best to take out and eat at home. Parking is tricky too. There are only 2 parking slots at the back of the building for Sargent Taco.

Really enjoyed the beef tacos. Very nicely done, and the fried cheese put it over the top! Good atmosphere, small seating area with 3 tables and a couple of stools at the window. Table stools are very cool looking and comfortable.This isn't a place you go to get stuffed, it's a proper sized meal, and quite authentic.
I get delivery from here now and then, and occasionally go in for take out. I love their chicken quesadillas so much, and me and my sister usually split churros together. So good, and 100% worth the wait.

I am Mexican and I worked at the restaurant for almost half a year (I ate there almost daily). I can assure you that the food is prepared with the best hygiene and quality standards and the recipes are completely delicious, as similar as possible to the food in Mexico.On the other hand, Carlos, the owner, is a kind, hard-working person who cares about his workers. The staff is always warm between themselves and others.I definitely recommend Sargent Taco to everyone who wants to try Mexican food and have a good time in a restaurant full of love.ps: I will always recommend trying the barbacoa tacos, they were my favorites
