“I was there for a baby shower today and it was wonderful. About 40 people. The food was great, the menu moderately priced (outside of the shower menu), and the waiter couldn't have been better. He worked that room for 4 hours straight and helped take out gifts to the cars. Genuinely friendly and helpful. Clean and well maintained restaurant. Ample parking and a little out of the way so it has a more cozy feel. Its next to BJ's on Constant Friendship. Skip the fast food and fast causal on Constant Friendship. Give this one a try. I doubt you'll be sorry.“

“I learned Wednesday night is Karokee night. While the place was very loud, service was good and food was a bit better than typical sports type bar. I like the family feel and even on Karokee night families were there and some of the braver kids even sang.“

“I took the wife to The Local Restaurant for our date night dinner. This was our first time here. Surprisingly, parking was somewhat limited for a surburban location. Fortunately, they offer valet parking service. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess and immediately taken to our table. No sooner, our server came and gave us a run down of the night's specials as well as some of the menu items. The staff brought out the free corn bread. I loved it, thought it was the best ever. Wife thought it was too sweet. We ordered the French Dip Bao Buns for appetizer. It consisted of shredded steak in a pita covered with a horseradish sauce. It had good flavor. Didn't need the au jus. For the entree, I had the Steak Frites. The steak being a prime rib cut was tender and juicy with a nice sear on the outside. We both enjoyed the generous portion of tasty truffle parmesan frites that came with the steak. My wife had the Duck Confit with Crab Fried Rice. It came with 2 giant duck legs. The duck meat was tender but the miso glaze was a little too salty for our pallets. The crab fried rice lacked flavor. Crab meat tasted fresh and not fishy tasting. I think I enjoyed the meal more than the wife. We both agreed that the portion sizes were very generous. You definitely will not leave here hungry. We also agreed that the service here is excellent.“

“Phenomenal service, delicious food/flavor combinations, excellent atmosphere, and all at a very reasonable price for what you are getting. Fine dining but not stuffy or pretentious. I've spent considerably more on comparable meals at other establishments and this meets or beats those meals.We got the filet and the pork tenderloin for our entrees and we got the bread pudding and bruleed figs for dessert. All delicious and quite well portioned for the prices paid. The drinks were very well made and the finishing French press coffee was FANTASTIC.We were thoroughly impressed and cannot wait to come back!“

We sat in the bar for the first time, combination of live music and general noise level made conversation difficult. Renovation and decor are beautiful. “The crab & corn soup was excellent plenty of crab & corn. The bacon wrapped scallops tender and bacon was crispy. Three were setting on a sautéd bed of spinach in light sauce with fresh diced tomatoes. Had the raspberries sorbet to finish which was creamy full of favor. A perfect ending to an enjoyable lunch. Our waitress was Emma who was fast & efficient and made our lunch a fun time.“

This was my second visit.....Although fairly modern, the atmosphere had a hint of a small town charm. The interior dining area is small with limited seating due to space. There's a few stools at the breakfast bar you can belly up to. Dine in or Take Out. The service was excellent, the waitresses awesome. Not a locals only type of place and our barkeeps, Luke and Andy did a great job making sure that we felt like part of the gang while we were there. Great selection of beers and whiskeys, too! “Wife and I went twice in as many weeks, both times for breakfast. The food is delicious and the staff and service are delightful. It isn't crowded during the week but Sunday morning is usually bustling, though the atmosphere is a cheerful one. Haven't tried their lunch/dinner yet, but we definitely will!“

The Mamies trio (sandwiches) were supposed to be mini, there is nothing mini about them.. one chicken salad, one shrimp salad and one tuna and I barely made it through 2. The shrimp and chicken salad were amazing! I did order a side of gravy fries... mmmm!!!! I had to get the tuna to go. Hubby really enjoyed the reuben sandwich, a massive sandwich it was. He got a side of potato salad and said both were really good. Daughter had the kids sampler of meatballs, chicken finger, mozzarella stick and fries. At the end we were pleasantly surprised when our waitress offered dessert which came with our meals. We got rice pudding and chocolate cake to go. It was a really nice lunch, my daughter asked to go back. She really loved the decor of the carousels. We also ordered a cheese steak and again was beyond pleased. Tamborino's rolls have the perfect amount of crunch on the outside and are fluffy and fresh on the inside. This restaurant is more than 30 minutes from my home, and we will definitely be making the trip more often or finding excuses to pass by to carry out again. The waiter came and took my drink order and explained the specials of the day. I ordered the baby back ribs, French fries, coleslaw and a coke. I really enjoyed the atmosphere while I was waiting on my food I was able to finish watching the Orioles game on there many TV’s. The food was delivered very quickly and tasted amazing! And I came back for dinner before I had to deliver my load. Long story short. I feel like my burger could have been really good. But! The meat lacked seasoning, and they used some hard iceberg lettuce. The meat was juicy and tender. Just lacked some flavor, even the sauce lacked a lil. For a 11$ burger I expected a lil more. I'll pay 11 for a burger all day, I got that trucker $$. But this wasn't a 11 dollar burger, it was a 6.50 burger at best . I feel like with some tweeking it could be really good. As far as pricing, while some menu items have gone up over the past couple of years, I still find their portion to price ratio to be good. My corn muffin was stunningly fresh - definitely made that day if not an hour before because it was still a little warm and very moist. No mass produced dry cornbread there. No normal fountain drinks. Instead, bottles of Coke de Mexico and homespun concoctions, including a tamarind drink. My daughter enjoyed her orange-pineapple-ginger juice. Lots of people getting carry out. The dining room is spartan. Not a romantic place but functional. I hope to get back there again when I am in the area. 4.5 stars.“

“This is known as a Harford County staple. We had a nice evening. It was very old school feeling in here, and very popular for families or older crowds. They have a full bar and a whole dining room. The prices are affordable. They're known for their pit beef, you can smell the pit walking in this place. The meat is fresh and they're also known for their fish being fresh as well. Their corn fritters, that are deep fried, cover in powders sugar that you dip in maple syrup. Wow. That was something different and so good. Would recommend. They make their rolls homemade here and they're fresh and warm. The meat here tastes great. I loved the corned beef. The roast beef was good and so was the ham! Robin was our waitress and she was so sweet and lovely.“
