“Hidden gem that everyone knows about. Best diner in the area. Very similar to Too Jay's around Boca Raton.Been to Parkway several times. The Lox and Onion omlett is my favorite. The deli fare is great. Large portions and reasonable prices.“
“One of my favorite places to go. The food is very solid and service/atmosphere can't be beat. Prices don't feel like I'm being ripped off either like much of DC has gotten to. Management is super friendly and great to work with. Always look forward to spending time here with my friends!“

“Service here is a 100/10. I prefer to go to the bar. They are all so friendly, kind, and efficient. I enjoy talking to the bar tenders but preferably my nights I like the most are with Izzy! The hospitality level she brings to the table or I guess I should say bar is amazing. I know I will be taken care of when she’s working. Overall definitely a go to for me after work. Never any bad service and food recommendations are spot on.“

“Loved my experience at the Greenbelt Silver Diner. I had been here before with my husband about two years ago and the service was terrible. Today's I experience changed my perspective! I loved how friendly and attentive our server Cassandra was. The manager Hansen also had great customer service. He came to our table not just to ask if everything was OK but also give us suggestions on food options and was very attentive. I loved the food and the atmosphere. I recommend the California omelet. I will definitely be coming back.“

“Above average food but would not call it perfect. Affordable, so I will come back to try the back ribs. The prime rib was very good, but the mashed potatoes were average for a restaurant like this--I would recommend working on a better recipe. Good selection of red wines.“

“One of my favorite restaurants in Washington! The price was reasonable and the portion was huge, so we ordered one and shared it between us, but we still had some leftover. It's great for brunch, and you can enjoy huge cinnamon rolls on the weekends! There are also homemade pop tarts, so there are a variety of fun things to try ?❤️“

“The Customer service was out of this world. I think she must have been the manager. This lady was on point. Now the food was absolutely great as usual. The sweet potato desert. Was FABULOUS. It was my friends 1st time. She enjoyed everything. ?????????? Keep up the great work. The ribs fell of the bone. “

“Eclectic mixture of offerings.Ukrainian borscht is true to what I remember from childhood. Halibut with coconut sauce is brilliant. Steak medallions complement a very Ukranian potato and are of highest quality. The owner, Olena is amazing and sweet.“

“Great restaurant. Very casual and delicious food. Great variety of food. My husband and I enjoy the shrimp tacos, chicken quesadillas, guacamole, salads and drinks! So many other tempting items to try. Didn’t have room for Gifford ice cream. Looking forward to returning.“

“I met girlfriends for a Sunday brunch. I expected more options on the menu, and something more exciting. They carry the basic brunch stuff. No starters but I got a peach bellini...okay I got 3 of them. Delish! They allow dogs inside for dining. I am not much of a fan of that. And my service was average, took almost whole meal to get another drink. All and all I will give them another try, wasn't awful and I left satisfied.“

“Very friendly staff. Early happy hour which is a big plus. I got the fried chicken sandwich with fries and it was quite good. The chicken was tender and fried perfectly. The hot cherry pepper sauce and slaw went great on top. The fries were seasoned with a dusting of old bay, I assume. I got the Hawaiian Punch which is essentially a mocktail and it was SO good. Not too sweet. Finished it off with the apple pie which is, as you may guess, unconventional as it kind of looked like a cinnamon bun and was caramelized very well. I would recommend eating here. It is a laid back atmosphere. Jeans and a t-shirt are appropriate as well as business attire.“

“My husband made a reservation for my birthday dinner and the food, service and atmosphere was exceptional. Our server Francisco was top notched and very professional in detailing the menu and offering suggestions on drinks and food. A must go to when in DC, you won’t be disappointed.“

“Had dinner before the Oh He Dead concert on Saturday December 17, 2022. We arrived a little before our seating and immediately were greeted and taken to our spots. Ian was outstanding! He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!“

“Old Ebbitt has been a favorite of mine since I moved to DC in 2012. They have been consistent in the quality of their food and service. My absolute favorites have always been the salmon, Rueben, and the classic burger. Both so freaking delicious! But I have to say that I often come to Old Ebbitt with my coworkers because of their buffalo wings! We go after work and make our way to the cozy bar on the left side of the main entrance. We plant ourselves on a couple stools and order ourselves at least two plates of wings....double dipped. Make sure you ask for them double dipped so that they are crispier and saucier. I rarely ever drink beer but when having these wings, a beer actually goes down pretty good. I have claimed myself to be a taco expert in many of my reviews and I have the qualifications. But I think I may start calling myself a wings expert because I have tried so many places around town and identified the best. The list is very short because there are so many terrible wings being served in the DMV and it is quite a shame. But I will tell you right now....Old Ebbit is one of the best. The wings are perfectly crisp, have lots of sauce, very moist chicken, and very meaty. The cherry on top is the perfect amount of heat and thickness of the buffalo sauce. It also helps that their blue cheese is delicious which helps cool off those fresh off the fryer wings. So if you are ever in the mood for a quick treat, head over to Old Ebbit and find a spot at the bar and relax. The bartenders are always very cordial and people watching around the bar is fun. Sometimes I strike up a conversation with a stranger if I'm not in the middle of devouring a messy plate of wings. Hope to see you all there!“

“Such a romantic restaurant! Perfect for date night. My boyfriend & I had dinner here the Monday after valentine's day as a belated valentine's dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant still had its valentine's decor in the bar entrance. So lovely! We made reservations for seats in the outdoor patio under the grapevines due to the reviews from other guests. Each table has a fire pit. And that was the major selling point for me to pick this restaurant. Great ambience for dinner. The restaurants provide blankets upon request. The seat warmers weren't working, but I still requested to sit on one rather than sit directly on the cold steel of the patio chairs. The fire did a good job of keeping me warm as it was a chilly February night.Since it was a Monday evening, there weren't many guests which was great. Nice & quiet for a romantic dinner. The service was excellent. Our waiter recommended a Greek wine which both my boyfriend & I really enjoyed. The cuisine is Greek Mediterranean. The dishes were unique, creative, & had great presentation. Everything was delicious from start to finish. It's family style so all dishes from appetizers to entrees to dessert are shared. We enjoyed the experience & left full but not overly stuffed, which is always a plus. The citrus salad & housemade focaccio bread were particular delectable.Highly recommend!! We'll be back for sure.“

“My colleague lives in the area and invited me for a drink and I had never heard of the spot. It was chill around happy hour, kinda empty. Classic dive bar. The beer was cold. By the second drink the place started to fill and it seemed like the male/female ratio was very lopsided to the female persuasion and at first I was like “cool”, and then I reeeally took it all in and started to wonder if I was at a gay bar (which is still totally cool). Maybe it was the vendor selling “Dyke” merchandise, or the fact that for once I was able to enjoy a drink without being bothered by strangers or crowded by yuppies. Either way the atmosphere was conducive to minding my own business and having a good time. The outdoor area is great. The upstairs had vendors with various art and wares they made. I have since learned that the event was actually “Dew Drop’s Dyke Party”. I would gladly come to another Tuesday “Dyke Party” if it’s always so chill (albeit not very diverse). The downstairs also had a bar and around 8 there was Christmas-themed live music of the R&B/Soul/Jazz persuasion. This crowd was substantially more eclectic and in my subjective views couldn’t be categorized as homogenous. Free live music in DC is unheard of so I was extremely gracious. My only complaint is that this is a dive in the heart of the dmv that doesn’t serve National Bohemian. But I have since learned that they allow dogs so I won’t hold it against them.“

“I went here with a couple friends to celebrate a birthday, and we were all very impressed with the food, the cozy atmosphere, and the friendliness and professionalism of the service staff.I got the hanger steak with a side of the potato gratin, and a slice of cheesecake with pineapple. The steak was really tender and flavorful, and it came with a mushroom sauce that was a perfect addition of flavor to an already excellent cut of meat. The potato gratin side was really buttery, and the cheesecake had a really interesting flavor with a hint of lemon in addition to it being rich and creamy. The house made bread is also an absolute go-to.The staff here is maybe the highlight of the experience. They're all really professional and knowledgeable, but beyond that, they're very friendly. They chatted with us at one point during our meal, and explained how they've all worked here for decades each, and that they feel like one big family. It definitely translates to their demeanor with the customer - it felt like we were talking to an old friend, and it definitely added a lot to the cozy, intimate experience that this place was overall.Apparently, due in part to the proximity to the Capitol, this restaurant is a popular spot for many politicians, evidenced by all the portraits on the walls of various political figures from both parties who have enjoyed a meal or several here. They might not be very adept at their actual job of legislating, but they know a good steak when they taste it apparently ?.An easy 5 out of 5 stars from me!“

“Went there during DC restaurant week. Beef tartare is my favorite. Seasoning is well balanced and the beef texture is nicely contrasted with the chips. Halibut with the brioche crust is good too. The buttery crunchy crust enriched the fish’s flavor. But other dishes like the duck breast and scallops are more mediocre. Maybe it’s just my expectations are a bit too high.“

“Quite possibly the best dining experience we’ve ever had in DC. My girlfriend and I went for our 3 year anniversary and it was the most incredible celebration! We were seated at the garden bar, and were fortunate enough to have Kae as our bartender/server. They absolutely spoiled us for our special occasion, from a celebratory glass of champagne to an extra dessert, we were truly wined and dined! I highly recommend coming to rose’s for your next special occasion!“

“Persimmon has very attentive service, lots of great menu options, and a nice buzzy atmosphere that is cozy and not too loud. “Stopped by with a friend and my wife after a wonderful high end dinner that deserved a nice place for a night’s drink. We decided to try Off the Record and we were very happy we did! Definitely a political vibe, and a place to be seen if you want to in DC. Truly, I’m more interested in the drinks and the cookies and ice cream were delicious! Can’t really tell you about the food, but dessert was delicious and we enjoyed the bar snacks that they bring to your table!“

“Cozy vibe, not too busy when we were there. Very lgbtq+ friendly. Cocktails were great, food was good, veggie burger a bit plain.Vegetarian options: Veggie burger had good texture and consistency, but very little moisture and flavor to it. “Had a great time with my wife here! Even though it seemed like it was a busy morning, the wait was not bad at all.Everything we ordered was a burst of flavor and on point. “Loved the flavors. I’ve driven by here many, many times and not really paid attention. One evening we decided to give it a go and are glad we did. There’s free parking by the restaurant for starters and once inside, we were immediately seated. The setting is casual and comfortable, great for family and friends wanting great food and a great place to hang out. Service was great as we all ordered the meat sampler, and a brisket egg roll (must try) for an appetizer. For sides we all had different things. Collard greens. Mac and cheese. Beans. Coleslaw. Potato salad. Esquites. We were all stuffed after eating only half of our meal.“

“DeCarlo's is a convenient little spot perfectly suited for the neighborhood. The waitstaff is friendly but needs a bit more training. The food is fine. I had the risotto which was a smidge undercooked. My dining companion had the veal with crabmeat. The veal was a bit overdone. The seafood in both dishes was perfection, however and the wine selection is great! For dessert we had rich, warm cocktail/coffee drinks and they were spot on. The ambiance is lovely and the noise level is quite low making it a nice quiet getaway.“

“Eubin took excellent care of my husband and I on our visit to barmini. It was our first visit (of many more to come) and every single cocktail was mind blowing. I had originally booked a flight, only to have to change it to a la carte in order to make dinner reservations. I wish we had cancelled dinner and stayed at barmini! I cannot find enough positive words to describe this experience. Worth every single cent and more. A must visit! We will be back! (And sit at the bar. The show of every cocktail being prepared truly adds to the experience!) the cake for my birthday was a spectacular gesture as well!“

“Hands down my favorite place to get both cocktails and mocktails! I usually do not order out mocktails but the mocktails are inventive (especially the smokeshow) and the food quality is really high. I LOVE the vegetarian gnocchi and their fries are crispy and tasty. The meatballs are always a hit at our table and while the prices are a smidge pricey, it’s worth it. I love the atmosphere and the vibes are always right and I would recommend a reservation.Vegetarian options: Some veggie options“

“I went here for brunch on a Sunday for my birthday I had such a great time! I did the bottomless mimosas along with unlimited food for $80. The food was amazing I enjoyed myself so much and so did my friends. Very nice to take pictures and the atmosphere is very nice I do wish they played better music for brunch we tried to see if they could play party music but dj told us it’s not allowed for brunch. That would be my only recommendation and the crowd just was more calm but I enjoyed myself and will be coming here for night life soon.“

“They have a top rating for a reason. 5-star food, service, and atmosphere. The biscuit appetizer with pimento cheese is amazing. The wagyu steak was even better - the salt seasoning was on point. I put salt on everything but no need to here because it's so flavorful (and cooked to perfection). I don't even need to try the ice cream to review it. Its handmade, and they have so many flavors, including marshmallow. Wish I could've indulged. Instead, I got one of the five dessert alcoholic flights. Again, amazing.Service - from everyone but specifically my waiter Mika - was phenomenal. Loved everyone here. And atmosphere is so intimate and warm.If I had to critique, I'd say don't sit next to the door. Super cold and windy in this corridor area. And, sharpen the steak knives. ?.“

“This a good place for a bite in the morning or a relaxing dinner in the evening. The menu is okay but could use some better dining options. For breakfast, stick with the basics, trying to over create a simple meal takes away from the meal. The pancakes do need some work though, not sure it they are trying to use gluten free flour but the pancakes just aren’t right. The dinner menu is good but could use some more variety. I do recommend a stop in and enjoy a good meal (just stay away from the pancakes)“

“My partner and I walked in at 6:30 PM on a busy Friday night without a reservation (I didn’t realize they had started taking reservations!) The host said the only options were bar seating or outdoor seating under heat lamps. We didn’t really want either of those options, but understood that since we didn’t have a reservation, we could not be very choosy. The host then kept looking at his reservation app and offered us a very nice table as long as we could be finished by 8:30 PM. We said that two hours is plenty of time! He said he felt bad that there wasn’t room for us but we assured him this was perfect and we would definitely be finished by the time he needed the table back. He was so kind and accomodating. The rest of the staff was also excellent (as always!) and the food was outstanding. I have always loved Purple Patch and will certainly return soon. Thank you PP team for being awesome!“

“Fantastic spot. Randomly popped in here because I saw a La Chouffe sign through the window. Damn was I lucky. Their list of beers on draft is phenomenal and bottles to kick.
