I haven't eaten there in years, but it hasn't changed the look and remains a eatey for many of our Maryland State legislators. It's been a few years since it was televised in a food challenge on the Food Network!

Tight space but fun. Extremely busy and engaging staff. Range of fare and prices are openly displayed online and on the outside. Add a desert while you are it.

Food was fine. Good, even. For me it was the service people that were lack luster. In fact, rude. Our waitress was new and a bit overwhelmed so she’s forgiven - our runner ignored that I even spoke when I asked for butter and syrup. But the worst was when husband asked employee where the rest room is, she replied ’It’s right there’ with attitude, and ‘you’re really stupid’ in her voice.Won’t be back. Iron Rooster is worth the wait.

We originally chose to spend our Mommy & Daughter breakfast at the Double T Diner, but we were unable to find a parking space. We definitely should have waited until someone left!!After searching Google for another local breakfast place, I came across Chick & Ruth's Delly. I thought it would be a fun experience for my daughter. It is a blast from the past. Thankfully, we were early enough to find great parking. Except for the service, parking made the experience. The waiter was very accommodating. My daughter ordered off the kids' menu and requested scrapple as her meat side. She is a decentant of an Eastern Shore Scrabble legend, and the scrabble was the worst she has ever eaten :(Unfortunately, my experience was even less remarkable. After changing my choice based on the recommendation from the waiter, I chose fried steak with biscuits and gravym. He said the biscuits and gravy are the best. They are also famous for their Delly potatoes. This, along with gravy, was not appetizing at all. Potatoes weren't crisp, just mussy. The gravy was thick, tasteless, and very disappointing. The breading on the fried steak was soggy and just completely unappealing. This is an Annapolis Icon. The atmosphere was nostalgic, and the staff were great. Unfortunately, due to the very disappointing food, we will not be returning. They also need to clean the menus as they were very sticky and dirty :(I am very happy to have made another memory with my daughter!!
