“OK, first off, let's be clear that I think Giovanna's has maybe one table indoors, and I believe they still have a deck. This is a fantastic pizza & Italian takeout restaurant. My favorite pizza in Baltimore by FAR, and that's saying a lot. (I worked in a NY pizza joint as a teen, I know my pizza.) The restaurant was owned by the same couple for many years & when they finally sold it (quite a number of years ago), they sold the recipes, too. You will not be disappointed. Staff is always pleasant! We tend to load up pizzas, so don't get swayed by what we spent, LOL. One time, we broke the record for number of toppings the chef that night had ever seen. He wasn't even quite sure how long to cook it! It was beyond delicious! All ingredients top shelf.Parking: Don't be fooled by the lack of parking on Harford Rd. There are a few dedicated spots behind the restaurant and plenty of side-street parking.“

“The pizza at Baltoz is among the best in Baltimore. Excellent crust and the very freshest ingredients with no skimping on the quality of all. Prepared to order. Amazing taste. And, a crust that truly captures many years of practice in making and working with sourdough. Exceptional! I have rated Baltoz a “3” for atmosphere because it is not really an eat-in restaurant. There are a couple of long tables and high chairs where I’ve waited for my take-out order; but, it’s not strictly eat-in - which is fine.“

“I reviewed this place when I first moved to the area. It was average. Decent food. Nothing great. Now there's new ownership and it's a lot better. Today I had a cheesesteak that was pretty good. My only complaint was the hots are really vinegary and overpowering. The young man at the counter was very polite and helpful. This place has definitely improved.“

“Ordered off of their catering menu for my wife's birthday. I purchased the Margharita Seafood Special with shrimp, scallops and lump crabmeat in a rose' cream sauce and it was excellent! The homemade meatballs jad everybody raving and their sausage, onions and peppers in marinara sauce was also great. Thankfully we had some left overs that we are still enjoying. Lastly was their Greek salad, very fresh and loaded with feta cheese. I definitely recommend these folks for your next lunch or dinner or when you need an event catered. Call and ask for Saul and he and the staff there will take great care of you!!“

“The best pasta I’ve ever had and I’ve tried a bunch of places in New York.. I got the pasta Al forno which was absolutely delicious and a huge portion size, I think I could probably split it into three meals so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. The other reviews were completely on the money about it being so good that you just have to say “this is so good” after every bite. I got the Caesar salad as my salad of choice - it was pretty good but a bit too salty for my taste. Restaurant had a great vibe inside as well - we went an hour before close on a Saturday and there were still a couple groups eating and chatting. Our server was very accommodating and the food came out fairly quickly as well. Would absolutely recommend coming here, I know I’ll definitely be back!“

“My family and I stopped in Mario's to grab a bite to eat after watching a movie at the Senator Theater across the street from it and believe me when I say that the pizza is outstandingly delicious ???. The waitress was attentive in the beginning, and then, just sort of left us hanging.Rather than asking if we needed anything after we got our entrees (or if we wanted Parmesan cheese on our pasta), she just whizzed by & made a statement to the effect of 'Everything's great, right?' We got 2 pizzas, wings and curly fries for only $38!The wings are LARGE, a lot of meat and good flavor.The fries were good even by themself.The pizzas were good, the only thing I would say it would be better to use the pineapple chunks instead of the crushed. EVERYTHING our group of 7 ordered was tasty, made quickly and well portioned. The Chesapeake eggs (deviled eggs with crab meat) and crab pretzel (soft pretzel smothered in crab dip & cheese) were so good my sister's order extras to take home to their partner. I have Celiacs and that was the best gluten free pizza (I got it with ham & pineapple)! The mozzarella cheese pull on their slices of pizza is divine. My you get sister got a Godfather stromboli and it was HUGE. We sat and ate at the restaurant portion. It's modest with a clean restroom. “I came really early, because I also wanted to get my nails done, the food of course was fresh but when I say fresh...I ordered the garlic knots and a strawberry cheesecake. The knots had color, slight crisp, but taste like the dough was just made...delicious...the cheese cake looks just as pleasant but wasn't as "formed" as a typical cheesecake. But it still had all the flavor, no crust on the bottom but added crust on the back which gave it just what it needed. And the prices for what u get are amazing! “I've been here a handful of times and I feel confident about writing a review. It's only based on pizza and fries. I've had the veggie pizza, cheese pizza, and fries. The cheese pie is consistently good. I will say if you get 3-4 slices of pizza that will run you about $12-$16 bucks and for that price you might as well order a whole pizza. The veggie slice I had was ok. It had diced tomatoes, broccoli, and spinach. It wasn't bad but I don't think I will get it again. I could've done without the diced tomatoes and spinach. It was a little on the bland side for me and I think onions and mushrooms would've given it a better taste and texture. Overall good food and customer service!“

It's a twist on a cheessteak, and it was pretty darn good. For our second pizza, we got the tiger king, which is the equivalent of meat lovers. This pizza was delicious. They offer full, half, and gluten-free. 8 slices for full. 4 slices for half. Trust me, a half will more that fill you up. I'm so glad we didn't just order pizza hut and have it delivered due to the rain. “I will say this about Olympia, Harry and his staff make consistently good food. Have ordered there a ton over the years and have never really had a terrible experience with the food. I don't love some of the price increases and the portion decreases that have happened over the last couple years. Got the chicken parm which was one of my favorites a few weeks ago, and it was good, but it used to be great, and the best thing on the menu outside of the buffalo chicken pizza. Still think it's probably one of the top quarter or so italian/indian restaurants in the Harford Road Corridor (there's a lot of them) but I'm not sure I would say it's better than what it was in 2015. Still generally good though. I would say that they need to invest in dine-in at some point. I think they could find better booths and chairs for this seating area from a yard sale. It's time to move on from the old setup.“
