“This gem is set in the heart of Hampden. Incredible energy from both bar staff and regulars. I was greeted with enchanting laughter as I walked into the bar . They make a very smooth old-fashioned that's made in-house , I also recommend the Low Life . Drink prices are very cheap, I was here for about 3 hours with 2 other friends of mine and the bill was only 95 bucks. Melanie's at Griffith' Tavern is the real deal.“
“I've walked by Idle Hour so many times and never went in, and now I wish I'd visited sooner, this place is great! I finally went by this past Wednesday (2/21) for a listening party. Right away, I was taken with the vibe of Idle Hour. They have totally pulled off dive glam in there. The whole back wall has string lights that provide an ambient glow. There is a bar that runs almost the length of the wall across from the door and several high top tables and chairs. I sat at the bar and enjoyed how attentive the owner/bartender was. He tended to us and everyone in the establishment like beloved children...well, that's what it felt like. I had a nice cider while I was there and my friend who doesn't drink went with a mocktail the bartender created on the spot. Bathroom facility was nice but be aware there is no mirror in there so trying to fluff your hair or reapply makeup is not happening. Overall, looking forward to visiting again!“
“A SUPERIOR DIVE BAR! If you are looking for a classic dimly lit saloon with locals, this is the place. Seriously, a great place to hang and have a serious night of drinking.Parking: Walk or hire a ride. Street parking is there but never available.Kid-friendliness: Customers must be 21 or over. No kids! (It's a freaking Bar!)“
“Duda's is an awesome, old school Fells Point bar. They are well known for their crab cakes but I personally think their chili is some of the best I have ever tried.Prices are very reasonable, the service is great and the vibe is laid back.“
“Great to see an old favorite open again! I hadn't been in Jerry's since the 90's but I used to love to go there when I was young. I think the place looks better now than it did back then. I got there later so I only ordered some chicken wings to eat and they were very good. The bartender Tom did a great job and later on, the owner David came out to spend some time with us. Any of you old timers, he looks just like his father Pete. We had a great time and look forward to getting back there again soon.“
“So I regular here every Tuesday for karaoke with some friends. Food is great. Very welcoming.. no judgement atmosphere. Service is pretty quick with getting your food to you. I usually get the wings and fries. All the wing flavors are good. Beware of the spicy Mayo lol very spicy! I love “
“Excellent experience! While my bestie was having brain surgery at Johns Hopkins I walked down to this neighborhood bar. I met the manger Dave and the bartender Merideth. Awesome people they listened to what I was going through and they were so kind and understanding. The environment is awesome and so is the clientele. Good music everything from punk, rock, and pop. But it definitely wasn’t to loud. A total non judgement zone. All different walks of life. Great pool table also. I will be visiting this bar every time I’m in Baltimore. This is definitely a hidden gem in charm city! Thanx Spirit Tavern!“
“A local dive bar in the Mount Vernon - Baltimore area catered to the LGBTQ+ community and thier straight allys! Juke box available and reasonable priced drinks! Everyone welcomed type of vibe! Every hour is happy hour! Gayborhood friendly bar! Leave the pretentious at home!“
“Service was awesome, draft selection is not bad for a corner dive! Plenty of TVs to watch a game.Wings were heavily breaded and the garlic parm wings had a handful of Parmesan cheese thrown on top which wasn’t great. Otherwise pretty cool spot.“
“Convenient neighborhood liquor store, the only one in the area open on Sundays! Friendly staff are always helpful. Good selection with reasonable prices.Parking: Parking available on both sides of the street directly outside the store and lounge. Also, a couple of spots on the side of the building.“
“Old establishment in Baltimore's Inner East Harbor. A great neighborhood but oh so trendy and bouge. Was dying to end my night at a Tavern and found one just three blocks away. A true tavern. Unpretentious With a great juke box playing good music. Friendly bartender. Good looked good from what I could see. An oasis in a gentrified neighborhood. Find it.“
“Cool lil spot. Local ,blue collar working man's kinda bar . Darts and ring game are fun . Great barmaids from 6am till 2am Monday-Saturday. Great jukebox, no bs . And if ya hang out long enough you'll meet Great characters/people .“
“Historical bar more than 200 years old. One of the oldest continuously running saloon. Also has literary connections as it is famous as Poe's Last stop. Apparently this this place was frequented/liked by Edgar Allen Poe. There is no food I believe. But draft beers are great.“
“I just talked to a young lady who said she worked at the haven place part-time and have not been to a place like the haven and because of this young lady and her total politeness and of course beauty i will definitely come and check this place out sometime“
“Y'all. I don't have the self-control for this level of pizza. I ate the *entire* pizza in one sitting. My trainer is going to hurt me - absolutely worth it.Trust me. White Pie, add bacon. Outrageous!Their bacon isn't that thin, flaky, oven-baked-to-death, tasteless topping. Their bacon is so meaty and flavorful.Goodness gracious. I ate the whole thing!“
