Ikaros is by far our very favorite restaurant. If you want delicious authentic Greek food from a family that makes you feel like family, this is where to go. The cooking is just like yiayia's, from the avgolemono to the horta to the saganaki, and the melitzanosalata is unlike anywhere else.

We had a birthday dinner here for my mother's 75th. Everything was perfect! The food was delicious and atmosphere is so beautiful. The staff took such great care of us. We called ahead and pre ordered with a large party. Things came out exactly as ordered, even a few special surprises. Ikaros Staff - Thank you for making this a wonderful and memorable evening.- Amy

Everyone i know in the area + their mom raves about it. I wanted to like it, but i think a combination of extremely slow service + my table ordering dishes with flavor profiles not to my own taste resulted in me feeling conflicted about the establishment. The dishes are clearly authentic and those who like the things we ordered (spanikopita, warm grape leaves, that flaming cheese!) enjoyed them. These dishes are not ones i personally enjoy so I can't fairly critique them. The lamb kebobs i got were fine. The side of potatoes (recommended!) Were tasty and buttery, and the string beans in red sauce were also a yummy addition.Oh, the free dessert was a lovely and (semi-) unexpected surprise! Definitely save a lil room as it seems like they do this more often than not.My largest "fair" complaint: The single waitress working the ~10% capacity dining room on the September Wednesday we went seemed like she was overwhelmed from the four or so tables she had. Disappeared for long stretches at a time, seemed flustered every time we communicated with her, and had to actually chase her down for the check. To be fair with the dining room so empty it probably doesn't make sense for the business to hire an additional server for these slow nights, but as a former waiter, it makes zero sense to me that someone would find four tables unmanageable. It seems like it is not a new issue either as before we went i was told by others to prepare to wait.To be clear: i "like" this place and would absolutely not discourage others from going - but be prepared for slow service ?Vegetarian options: Plentiful. Vegetarian GF + her mom had tons of things they ordered / wanted to eat.

This restaurant is the worst ever with its employees, Nicolas won’t even pay the minimum rates under the Baltimores Maryland laws! Nicolas it’s a employee abuser who brakes the law and treat its employees so bad, I used to work over 12hours a day cooking and he only paid me like $6 an hour! I already hired a lawyer and there’s a sew going on. STAY AWAY from this restaurant and Nicolas.

Everyone was so perfect here, and the food was just as good. Perfect date night idea for all you love birds ?Dietary restrictions: More than accommodating for any restriction. I'm celiac, so there was a lot I couldn't have. They had an amazing beef tenderloin kebab meal for me, and the gf went nuts and loved everything she had

They are closed all July, but they didn't update their hours on Google, so my wife and I drove out to Greektown for nothing.UPDATE: it's been a year and a month since our last attempted visit, and they were open this time. Their portions are generous, and their Greek food is spot on. We had the stuffed peppers and the chicken kabob and needed containers for the leftovers. Also, they gave us a little complimentary dessert, which we appreciated. The ambiance was nice with classical Greek background music.

I have been coming to this restaurant for 60 years. It is my absolute favorite when visiting friends and relatives in Baltimore. Came in for lunch on Saturday and had an excellent meal and excellent service, as always. We all enjoyed our various meals and starters we are so thankful for the experience. Lamb, salads, baked cheese, all excellent. This is the first time we were not served a small plate of complimentary desserts (I wonder if they have stopped this treat), but that does not take from the wonderful experience of eating delicious Greek food. Please try Ikaros. I think you will start making it one of your favorites.

Being Greek, I have a high standard for Greek food but Ikaros gets my approval! You're getting authentic cuisine made by people who know what they're doing. The restaurant's atmosphere is lovely as well, and the staff are incredibly kind. The tzatziki is some of the best I've had. I strongly recommend stopping by this great family establishment

The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were two large parties taking place at the same time which resulted in very long wait times for the food to be served. With that being said I would still definitely go back.Parking: Free parking was available on the parking lot of the churchWheelchair accessibility: Very accessible
