“This is a hole in the wall kind of place (usually the best kind, and this is), there is limited lunch counter space to eat. My friends were expecting tex-mex, this is as authentic as you can get, authentic tacos no sour cream, no cheese just cilantro, onio s and lime and it is amazing!!“
“Christian the bartender was fabulous! He made our casual happy hour so great! He was creative with our drink requests and was so personable even with a busy bar. The food is as great as always and we feel like we’ve found a hidden gem! We will be back!“
“OMG this place is amazing. Fabulous and welcoming vibe, large portions and delicious food. Get the horchata, it's the best I've ever had. Shout out to the owner who overheard us say we missed lunch and brought out chips and dip while we waited for our main order. What a gem.“
“This is a restaurant worth a visit. My experience was great. The only issue I had was parking, if you're not there early enough you will have to park and walk a couple of streets. It's also best to arrive early because this place fills up fast. This was my first Mexican restaurant, so I had no clue what I was about to eat. Thanks to our server Ray, who suggested everything I ordered (I asked for their choosing), I was able to order. I had a pineapple coconut cocktail, strong and sweet, fulfilling. Appetizers were stuffed Tamales, and I got a cheese dip with roasted vegetables in the middle of the dip, served with chips. (This is the english version. Lol) My entree was beef tips on a sandwich bread...it was to die for. My friend enjoyed their dessert; however I did not. So I won't mention what they had. This place was clean, family friendly, original, and culturally kept. The cost is very reasonable, $40 should be enough per person. I will be returning.“
“Ive ordered pickup twiceFood is bomb and worth it.Burrito, quesadilla, guac and friesYou know what the current trend of inflation is. you going to spend almost 15 $20 at a fast food place you might as well come to mystics and get a better deal and value for your money.Fries are good and even better when reheating in the AFWould've given 5 stars but all weekend starting Friday, NO FRIES on the apps and that helps complete the meal for me...just couldn't understand how fries have been unavailable and its several markets nearby where potatoes could've been brought.I would've probably ate here all weekend but since no fries, i have to find something else“
“I honestly can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try Poncho’s. Best tacos in Baltimore for sure - very comparable to the famous Taco Bar out in MoCo but honestly I’d say Poncho’s is better. Their tamales, plantains, and chips and guac were so good. I’m so happy to have them in the neighborhood!“
“Very friendly staff, who were more than helpful in creating for an eventful night out as a group as we were visiting from North Carolina. Can’t go wrong with the Birria anything and combined with the excellent tequila selection. We even took home a pizza box of tacos with Ruben’s Hot Sauce for late night snacking 10/10 ⭐️“
“The staff was very kind and welcoming. The food was freshly made and very good. we ordered different foods and they all exceeded our expectations. Will definitely recommend and will definitely come again!Vegetarian options: They have Veggie dishes“
“I first went to this spot with my girlfriend in 2015, and thought it was extended branch of Belvedere Square public market! It's like a spell was cast on me, one that was a reminder ?️ of the City 's other public markets . . . And the other spots which had tried their best yet FAILED!R-House, in the middle of our street!“
“I went here for lunch today after getting a bunch of produce from the Waverly farmers market. I got a steak burrito and it had a real depth of flavor that blew me away. The owner was really friendly and positive too. Don’t sleep on this place ???“
“Muy bien! Our first time here and we are kicking ourselves for not stopping by sooner. We joked about never getting good authentic food once we left Texas but we’re so happy to be proven wrong. Cute little place with an amazing painting on one of the walls. Our waitress was very welcoming and sweet to let me practice my elementary Spanish with her lol Our food was so delicious (birria, chicken/steak fajitas, pork belly taco) and of course washed it down with a lime Jaritos“
“A little hole in the wall I am glad I came across! A lot of taco restaurants open on this same block, but only they were open past 8.Customer service: 10/10Guac and chips 10/10 so fresh and the chips are made in houseTorta sandwich (steak): 11/10 so simple yet absolutely amazing. Using the green sauce boosts the flavor profile.Mango margarita 6.5/10 strong but not very flavorful.Shrimp taco- 7/10 good basic tacoBathroom cleanliness: 10/10 there is only one shared bathroom, but it is well taken care of through the dayNice decorations around the dining areaWill be returning.“
“Loved the atmosphere!! Decor inside was beautiful and there is a large outdoor patio with a bar facing the water. The service was great and the food was tasty. The passion fruit agua fresca was refreshing. The food was a bit pricey for what it was, but when factoring in the location and atmosphere it was fair.“
“This was my first time eating here. The food was great. I oder the quesadilla de birra! That thing was so juicy and moist. Favor all thru there!!!!. The dipping juice was amazing. I could drink that by itself. The only thing was the salsa. The salsa was nasty. Not a big fan of salsa. The chip and cheese was average at best.“
“The food is good. Tacos are well made, some meat was a little chewed but not disgustingly so, and the sides are good as well. Feels more like a fast taco/burrito place more then a place to get authentic tacos. The salsa bar I'd fun but I never have any idea what I'm getting on it.I don't understand the pallet of product near the registers. It's always there. No place else to store it?I'll go back though for a quick set of tacos or burritos if it's later and the place closer is closed already.“
“Not a bad place to stop through on a taco Tuesday or any other day actually. We went here on cinco de mayo and it was packed. The food was good. I've had it a few more times and it was the same every time. They have kiosks that you can order from to speed up your service and they have a bar. The margaritas were solid. Would recommend.“
“Jimmy and company absolutely dominate the taco game in Maryland. These guys and gals do it better than anyone and with a smile. True Mexican Street food brought to Baltimore amd served up like no other. I'm a taco freak so i always feel right at home with whatever offerings they have. Don't sleep on these guys, they are amazing. They also now have a second location at the Dutch Farmers Market.“
“Where does this fat kid begin when all the food was banging?MENUDO!!!! An absolute flavor explosion.Follower by the Carne Asada tacos where were in top 3 taco experiences and I eat a lot of tacos. Then the lingua and the Al Pastor. The rice and beans were also elite. All in all putting this on my go to list. Also, and almost as important as the food the high chair game was on point and plenty of parking.“
“THIS IS FOR CLANDESTINOThis local speakeasy has quickly moved its way to the top of my list.I love the ease of parking, safe neighborhood, and spacious speakeasy space.Always great service by bar manager Charlie, fantastic food and beverage menu and options. My favs so far are the grilled wings and chicken tortilla soup. The drinks are pretty awesome, and Charlie the Great can alter beverages to your preference if you prefer. This is an overall mezcal bar, but they have other libations as well.My fav is John Updike's Old Fashioned. My son ordered and loved the Strawberry Gin & Tonic. This establishment is a great conversation starter, and I look forward to returning asap.“
“I've heard good reviews for this spot and had to check them out on game day. They were having phone issues, but I was able to reach them thru FB message app! They actually replied and quickly too. I was able to communicate my order, place the order and had my food on time. The quality of the ingredients, Amazing. The tacos, pulled pork, chorizo, chicken and steak, AMAZING!Customer Service, Phenomenal! Will definitely order again, Thanks Taco Town of Baltimore“
“Food was OK in flavor but good amounts and because it was so cold that day I really appreciate it the food being warm and nice. Our server was amazing. And ambiance was greatVegetarian options: No. Just the salad.Parking: Parking is not free.Kid-friendliness: Not reallyIs a bar kind of placeWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“First time here tonight, arrived after 7:30 and ordered two tacos—al pastor and carne asada. Muy, muy ricos —and enormous. The pineapple garnish was so refreshing on one. I wanted to eat authentically and somehow managed to fit one into my hand, but the fork was necessary and it was definitely a three-napkin night for me! Much more meat than I usually eat, so I will go vegetarian next time and try the roasted cauliflower. Walking home feeling so full—and delighted that this delicious and friendly place that transported me to Mexico for a half hour is within walking distance for at least four neighborhoods. ¡Hasta pronto!“
“I never leave reviews but I ordered this on uber eats and it was so good I had to leave a review! Excuse the pics because I had already started eating before I took the pictures. The guacamole was super fresh, loved it. I got a carne and beef tongue taco which were also amazing and came with lime and salsa verde. My favorite thing by far was the picaditas! I've never had them before but they were sooooo good. Overall we had an amazing experience and you should definitely give them a try! Super authentic very good food and super inexpensive!“
“Absolutely spectacular - I haven't had chilequiles this good since my trip to Mexico City, and I get them as often as I can. The tepache suave was delicious and went perfectly. Beans and rice were perfection.I genuinely might go back tonight.Vegetarian options: All the Mexican classic vegetarian options were available, and would be a spectacular choice“
“I've driven by this place 100 times and regret that I didn't stop to eat there the first time. I had the steak quesadilla- literally the best quesadilla I've ever had. I can't wait to eat at this place regularly. Staff was friendly and food was quick. (FYI... I saw a sign that says they don't take Apple Pay- which makes me like them even more lmao)“
“not what i thought it would be, but i mean that in the best way possible! this unassuming establishment has great service and food. i ordered the fajita mix and chicken and waffles. outstanding value here! so much food for the price!!! and i was given my food with a smile!“
“The OMG Cooki is a dessert that's sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. The soft and chewy cookie is loaded with rich chocolate chips and crispy potato chips, creating a perfect blend of sweet and salty flavors. It's the perfect way to end any meal from Man vs Fries.“
“Tasty food, ideal for dinner. While the music is a bit loud, it adds to the ambiance. The entrance staff are friendly. Servers could improve by allowing more space for diners and not rushing to clear plates mid-conversation, but overall, they were attentive. I'd be happy to return.Parking: It was very tough to find a spot on the street. Mostly crowded and already full.“
“Great lil spot near Fells Point! Had chips, guac, and pineapple salsa to start. Then we shared the fajita mixto (amazing flavor, more than enough food) and this month’s special the pizza birria (again so flavorful). Will be craving this meal every day for the next month. Will come back!“
“Our friend group eats here 8 out of 10 Friday nights. The service is wonderful, the food is excellent and the remodel really improved the atmosphere. It is busy but never so loud you can't talk. Most of our group gets the Burrito El Salto or the Fajitas El Salto. I have had several other dishes, and they are all good. We also like their salsa and queso.“
“Everything was perfect, the staff is friendly and the cashier made a funny joke. We got the chicken torta, elote, street tacos (chicken, beef, shrimp), and jarritos. The food is very flavorful, even the chicken torta surprisingly. The price point is fair in my opinion. I will be back again.“
“Authentic Mexican food, beautiful decor, and amazing service. They have daily food and drink specials. Taco Tuesdays is very popular because they add one extra street taco per order. Papi's has separate bar and restaurant entrances. Definitely try street tacos, Birria tacos, and margaritas. You can also enjoy heated outdoor seating. The bar is packed with regulars, great local bmore vibe“
“First time eating here, and would definitely return.Restaurant was clean, and smelled delicious, and staff were pleasant. You can either order your food at the counter or use the screens to order independently.I ordered the taco platter (1 shrimp and 2 fish, all on corn tortillas). Portions were filling, and the food was flavorful. I really enjoyed that side of raddish, it was sort of pickled and spicy.I did take out, and it was a prepared timely, so I didn't have to use my whole lunch break!“
“Their food is delicious! Feels like I’m home away from home. Pupusas, sopa de marisco with cream, yuca frita con chicharrón is my to go to when ordering from this restaurant. I rather pick up the food than dining in. The waitress never smile and it feels uncomfortable asking them to get me anything. I’ve been coming for years and staff don’t really understand what hospitality consist of. It’s not hard to smile and be courteous. Smile and hello goes a long way. I keep coming back for the food only.“
“I bought a free chilaquiles and ...OMG this was by far one of the best tasting chilaquiles I’ve had. It was to the level of how my mom makes and and my mom makes the best in the world. The rice was flavor and tasted really good, the beans had flavor and tasted good . I HIGHLY recommend this place!“
“A Must Do! A trip down Baltimore Colts, Orioles, Natty Boh, and Elvis memory lane. The service is always welcoming Hon! Blessed to meet the Mayor of Canton, and famous Elvis Terry Mac. Highly recommend and will return with friends to celebrate Baltimore. Jackie, sorry for the loss of your Dad. He was a wonderful, kind, and generous man.“
“I ♡ El Habanero! The location is a food truck parked at the Carroll Motor Fuels gas station at the intersection of Eastern Ave and Kane St. They no longer have a menu on the truck and now only serve tacos, which are super delicious and incredibly affordable. The kind man told us that they served beef, pork, and chicken tacos, so we got one of each meat - 3 tacos for $10 flat. BRING CASH. The kind people working also don't really speak any English, but the transaction and service was very simple and fast regardless. I am definitely going to go back whenever I get gas again (also, the gas at this station is usually the lowest on this street as well. Very convenient!)The taste of the tacos were very fresh, the salsas are strong and spicy and accent the cilantro and onions very well, all over a slightly chewy soft corn tortilla. 3 tacos is a perfect portion, but if you're really hungry, I would say go for 4. My favorite was definitely the beef taco.Kid-friendliness: Well, I don't think they have a mean bone in their bodies.Parking: You can just park in the gas station for a few minutes, it's fine. If you're really worried or the gas station is busy, you can just park at the nearby Wendy's or Home Depot and just walk literally one minute. You don't have to pay for parking here.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space for wheelchairs, however, do note that it IS a food truck, so you might have to speak up.“
“The food was fantastic. Well seasoned and came out fresh and hot. I enjoyed shrimp tacos and he had the breakfast burrito. Coffee was good, beer was cold and they kept it coming. I also appreciate that they pay their waitstaff appropriately and include the 20% gratuity in the check. That being said, our bartenders had to be flagged down a few times, but the food made it all worth it.Parking: There is only street parking and it’s tough to find in Fells Point.“
“It was great! Right by the water. Me and my friend did brunch here for a double birthday. They really don't play about them bottomless mimosas! I had an omelet with their roasted potatoes..I loved it! I think our server was Megan but she kept up with all .. what 15 of our orders. Definitely will visit again.“
“The Augua de Jamica was elite. 4 stars. The mixed fajitas was okay. Nothing to write home about but a solid 4/5 fajita mix.Same with the menudo, 4/5 stars but the tortillas are homemade and delicious AF.Last but not least the queso was also 4/5.The service was 6/5. Great service.“
“Pretty awesome bar and restaurant. I got the Torta Cubana and the girlfriend got the fish quesadillas. Their kitchen staff did an outstanding job; the food was incredible. The margarita was tasty and mixed generously. Parking was tough, but that's Baltimore.“
“Latin cuisine...Not sure fully the origins of the place, but definitely got some points because the tortillas were freshly made.We ordered the sopes ordered and tacos, both came 3x10. The options are carne asada (beef), chicken, chorizo (pork sausage), lengua (cow tongue). They served the tacos and the sopes with all the works. The tacos' toppings were chopped onion and cilantro and the sopes had sour cream, lettuce and shredded cheese. Serving is fulfilling to keep you satisfied. It's a small place and they take a little bit of time to have the order ready (no problem fore since sometimes that means it's fresh and not only heated up). They have a short but very tasty menu for all choices, from soups to soft or hard tacos.Definitely considering to stop by whenever I'm in the area.“
“The place was nice, unfortunately the outside neighborhood does not help. But, their food is actually good! I had a steak burrito and Tres Leches cake which was great. The workers have a great attitude and helpful. I'd recommend for a quick stop.“
“I would not have visited this place but for the reviews. It's the last open-looking store in a mostly boarded up strip mall. But I'm glad I stopped in. The food was fresh and filling. Staff was very friendly. Looks like a local favorite place.“
“Don Tigre makes some absolutely delicious food. Been there twice now and everything was great. Service was quick and attentive, chips and salsa were all ready to go. We got burritos, tacos and fajitas, all three were great. Portions were very large, you definitely won't leave hungry. Give this local gem some business.“
“Food is really good. I have a food allergy (cow's milk), and Papi's has managed to get my food right and still have it be tasty every time. Carry-out options = yes. You can eat there, too. The seating and atmosphere is swank casual. Dig it.. It's close to other cool stuff, vintage clothing store, Zeke's coffee shop, Wax Atlas record shop, and Micky's Joint for a cocktail, so make a night of it.Dietary restrictions: The kitchen can amend any dish. They're definitely adept at dairy-free.“
“Was in town visiting and stopped here for food and drinks and it did not disappoint. Stiff drinks and the food was on point. They also had a small farmers market going on with vintage clothes and jewelry. But all the old pinball machines was the cherry on top ?“
“Adorable little spot, not even remotely accessible. Kind of a dingy, well-used-up carryout spot, which means everybody goes there and the food is amazing. Indeed, it was. Warning: Sopa del Mar is SPICY!? Latino spicy, not American spicy. Full of flavour, but be ready with the tortillas they send home with it! Whew! Bistec a la Mexicana was cooked up in a nice, hot pan, all ingredients fresh and ready within 15 minutes!Definitely try this place.“
“Absolutely delicious food and delicious drinks. Very traditional Mexican and El Salvadorian food with focus on seafood and soups! The house michelada and sangria were to die for, and the staff are super friendly! My friends and I came for a nice dinner and drinks, and the waitress drank sangria with us. Can't wait to go again!“
“I went here today with my boyfriend. The food was amazing and the prices were very affordable. The portions and tacos are big and are very flavorful! Our server was amazing she was so friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and atmosphere was great as well. We will definitely be coming back.“
