Had dinner last night at Swallow at the Hollow. First we ordered a Guiness draft. It was poured perfectly. Nice head, the right temperature, the way it is supposed to be.For dinner I had a cup of the soup special, creamy Italian wedding soup. I've had Italian wedding soup before but never this way. Good texture, good flavor I'd order it again.Got the Philly cheesesteak which was also very good, as good as any in Baltimore. Swallow is a quintessential dive bar, in the best way possible! The drinks are cheap, the food is delicious (I personally recommend the wings or cheesesteak), the service is good, and the atmosphere is nice. Its the perfect neighborhood bar/hang out spot.I can't list the number of times my friends and I have been to this great spot the past few years!

I have always wanted to try this place but for whatever reason kept pushing it off and I'm mad I did. I went for date night and there was no happy hour but that wont stop me from going back!Steamed shrimp was perfect! Beer cold, service-good, sliders-great, Buffalo wings had the best sauce ever, celery not limp and was fresh.Arrive early because its small and will get packed quick.
